I disagree on his defense. When it becomes a focal point, like Monty Williams had it last year in New Orleans, he can be pretty competent.

No its not. I would say Paul is one of the best defenders at pg in the league.

Of course not, but they desperately need someone, and he's at least good at what he does, and would come cheap. Wilcox has a heart condition, and Jermaine O'Neal should have quit two years ago. They're going to the playoffs, so a draft pick won't come to them.
 
i cant see pau going anywhere now...

Lakers needed a competent point guard and some help with the depth... and beasley + sessions would work for both... if Pau is traded for Deron... which i doubt.... lakers would have to give up that first round pick.

aint no way they're going to showcase the brooklyn nets with Pau as the star player lol.

I don't think you can say either is the better leader, as i'm not convinced either is a great leader. And they're both the same as floor generals.

The best leader on the clippers is Chauncey Billups. Whether people like to hear it or not, it's true.

You'd be wrong then. He's very very average. Not bad, but not that good either. He gambles, a lot. Where rondo just plays intensely, man to man, always in front and stuff, CP3 gambles. There's a huge difference between the two.

Both CP3 and Deron are terrible defensively, but it shouldn't be forgotten that while CP3 is on a crappy defensive team, Deron is on one of the worst statistically in NBA history.

I doubt either team would be improved much on D with someone else though because most PGs suck at defense and they don't really matter much defensively.

CP3 has a better FG%, 3pt% and FT% for his career.

CP3 has shot better from 3 each of the past 4 years.

CP3 has shot as well or better from 16-23 feet every season.

CP3 has a better FG% at the rim the last 4 seasons.

CP3 shoots a lot better from 3-9 feet AND 10-15 feet every season.

CP3 is as good or better at shooting from every spot on the floor.

CP3 is assisted on half as many jump shots as Deron is.

CP3 is a better rebounder.

CP3 gets more steals and assists with less turnovers.

From 2009 on, CP3 and Deron have basically split head to head better performance that day. The h2h thing is overrated, here.

Offensively, he's not quite as good. But Deng isn't helping out the Bulls so much on offense, he's irreplaceable.

Particularly not if the Bulls finally got their 1B in Pau.

His contract is fucking terrible. He's being paid too much to play defense and chuck three pointers. He's not even as good defensively as he used to be because he's lost a step. Anyone can see this.

Eh, when rons engaged, he's still the best or second best wing defender in the league. It's getting him engaged that is the hard part.

And lets not pretend that Dengs contract is brilliant either. It's pretty hefty.

You listed 2 guys who aren't PG's, and Kidd didn't spend most of his time defensively at the 1, last year. Not in the finals anyway.

Nobody presents him as a valuable piece. In trade scenarios, it's usually an attempt to unload his awful offense and shit contract.

In most trades involving multiple players, you receive filler which you likely don't want or need, but it's what makes trades work.

You want Dwight Howard? Well, you're likely gonna have to take on Hedo as well. Not because you want him or his terrible contract, but because you ain't getting Dwight without him (again, most likely).

He's getting mid level money. Not like he's getting paid 8-10 million.


This is the 3rd year of his contract, and in year 5 he'll be an expiring trade piece. There are probably literally 50-60 worse contracts in the league than Ron's 3 years in.
