Defensively, he's just as good as Deng (maybe a little better).

Offensively, he's not quite as good. But Deng isn't helping out the Bulls so much on offense, he's irreplaceable.

Particularly not if the Bulls finally got their 1B in Pau.
Deng is better than Artest defensievely. Maybe if Artest cared like he did a few years ago, but not today.

This year Deng is 15 ppg, 7 rebounds, at 42% FG shooting, and 42% from 3 point land.

Artest is 6 ppg at 35% FG, and 25% from 3 point land. He also gets 3 rebounds a game, and is terrible at free throws.

Deng is much better.

Knicks/Portland coming up, and at this point, I just want 1 fucking win, just 1, and I really don't care how. If Knicks lose I may just take a break from anything sports related on television for a few days. Morale in the locker room has to be completely shot, Lin may come completely back down to earth , and I suppose it's going to be 80% iso ball tonight, not good. Hopefully if Mike is just iso-ing Melo most of the time, they give the ball to him in the post and let him "run" his offense from there, it's still where he's most effective at and he hasn't been seeing the ball there that much lately.

Then your list can include Afflalo, seffolosha, LBJ, Wade.

Those guys can and do spend time guarding PG's too.

eeeh I guess. They don't spend a significant portion of their time doing it, but when they do, they're alright. Not better than the ones I listed, but alright.

What would be your list?

haha I just got in an argument with one of the programmers here about Carmelo...started snarking off about "Black Hole Central" and she just lost her shit. I had no idea she was such a fan.

Good thing we don't have an HR department :P

Things have been bad in Portland: the Blazers currently sit in the Northwest Division basement and are arguably the NBA's biggest underachievers. Coach Nate McMillan is reportedly on the hot seat, the mish-mashed roster never jelled and the effort has been spotty all season long. It's been bad. But this bad?

ESPN.com reports that new guards Raymond Felton and Jamal Crawford have allegedly turned the team against McMillan.

Let's just put this way. Either the Blazers find a new home for Raymond Felton and Jamal Crawford (who have quietly orchestrated a mutiny ever since Nate McMillan chewed them out in a video session a while back) or they'll probably have to let Nate go. If I'm a Blazer fan ... I'd rather lose Felton and Crawford. They won't get a lot for either guy, but there is such a thing as addition by subtraction.

Both Felton and Crawford have been persistently floated in trade rumors over the last few weeks.

Hours after the report hit on Wednesday morning, Crawford disputed the account in comments made to The Oregonian.

"Check my quotes since I've been here. Never thrown anyone under the bus-- coach or teammate! ...I pride myself on being a pro and doing whatever is asked...I don't even have enough juice to say that I want to play the position I signed up for (shooting guard)."

That last part is undeniably true. Crawford has been played out of position all season long, and it's gotten worse lately, when McMillan moved Nicolas Batum to the starting two guard position, forcing Crawford to compete with former starter Wesley Matthews for minutes. Given that squeeze, Crawford saw some brief time as the starting point guard while also backing up Felton on a regular basis. Either way, that's not what he signed up for when he signed as a free agent in December.

Felton, meanwhile, has publicly expressed frustration with McMillan, his role, his quality of play and has admitted that he didn't enter the season in game shape because of the lockout.

The biggest question now: Will either player survive the trade deadline and remain in a Blazers uniform?

Ex Knicks players.

Of all the players to defend...

welcome her to NBA-GAF

maybe she's a lin stan as well

Of defensive PG's?

Rondo.
Westbrook. Mainly because of his sheer athleticism.

Honourable Mentions to Conley, TP, Rubio. Conley and TP are more about the system, than their own Great D. And Rubio was still finding his feet.

Its a really short list. It's just not a position that matters a whole heap defensively, and the PG's know it.

Jrue Holiday is a good defender.

LA Times saying Blake "might" be going to Portland.
Mike Bresnahan ‏ @Mike_Bresnahan

No deal yet, but Lakers still trying hard to get Michael Beasley before tomorrow's deadline. "They're pushing for it," said a source.

Source confirmed that Lakers might send Blake to Portland as part of deal. Blake, talking before tonight's game in N.O.: "I'm still here."

Just going over the money that some of these Vets are making is just insane...I know the Amnestied ones aren't getting it all this year.

Lewis - $22,152,000
Duncan - $21,300,000
Garnett - $21,200.00
Gunbert - $19,269,308
Melo - $18,520,000
Amare - $18,217,705
Joe J - $18,038,573
Brand - $17,059,726
Baron - $15,302,181
Jamison - $15,076,715
Billups - $14,200,000
Kaman - $14,030,000
Jefferson - $14,000,000

Geez every one of those is painful except for Duncan and Garnett just because of the past. but this year that's painful too

Violet Palmer? They couldn't have planned today's trainwreck any better, but this is just the fucking icing.

This game will be painful. At least the Knicks will end their streak. I don't even want Blake back, it won't accomplish anything long-term. Blow it up!
