Yeah, seriously. The man has maybe 2 seasons left in him. He could have bailed on Boston when times were shittier. Let him retire a career Celtic.

Ya'll talking about the blonde?

Don't post Stephen A again.

Btw, last night he said the likelihood of Phil coming to NYC was over 50%.

New Jersey is calling everywhere on possible deals, but one player emerging on Nets radar, sources say: Portland's Jamal Crawford.

Cool, I'd rather have Richardson.

Otis Smith is a joke and regardless of what happens with Dwight no one here is making excuses for Otis. We hate him just as much as he rest of you guys.

I can live with DJ and Diaw expiring (12 mil off the book) and a top 5 pick, but goddamnit I want more.

Crawford for the Nets? Where would he play? He'd be, in theory, a good bench piece...but what would you do with him? That's not a move that will convince Deron to stay.

...also, 45 minutes until Dwight is supposed to put pen to paper. Will he really, truly do it? I'm hoping he re-double plus stabs ORL in the back and doesn't sign that shit because this thread will go nuclear if that happens.

Its not supposed to, directly.

Nets want to free up space this year.

But the Nuggets, Suns, Hornets, and Magic were all under-performing and weren't in the galactic quadrant of competing for a championship when their superstar contracts were nearing their end. Do you really think there would have been that much Melo-drama and Howard-Indecision if either the Nuggets or Magic were elite teams? Of course not.

The Suns were underperforming? They went to the western conference finals and took the Lakers to a close 6 games.

Deron for Pau and pieces, bitches! You know it's the right move!

What could be better than moving to a new city with proven Championship experience on the roster??

Only trade that involves Pau that I would make. But I highly doubt this will happen. We don't need to trade away our core. Just everyone outside of Kobe/Bynum/Pau.

We even saw a little bit of Fisher/Metta getting their trade value up yesterday. (something about clutch or something)

I feel bad for Dwight. Dude was torn. At least unlike LeBron he didn't turn his back on his team and split for a ready made championship squad.

Yeah, but he sure handled it horribly.

You must be out of your mind if you think you can build a trade package around Fisher and MWP, lol.

Lets be honest, how many of us vacillate with big decisions. Just because he's a multi multi millionaire and an NBA star doesn't mean it makes the decision any easier. I'm not going to condemn him when many of us think we know what we want only to backtrack.

Hah, was totally being sarcastic. I laughed when our two worst players bailed us out yesterday.

To be honest, I'm glad he stuck around with Orlando after messing around with them for so long. The rage would've been greater if he decided to bail on them. Although, Magic should now shop him during the offseason.

Most would just shut the fuck up about something big until their mind was made up.

That Deron trade was like ripping off a band-aid for Jazz fans, it hurt but at least we don't have to do with this.

As much as I didn't like the trade at the time I agree with it now.

If you can't resign your all star trade him 1.5 seasons before free agency so you can actually get a decent return.

(Unless keeping him allows you a legit chance at a ring).

fuck we don't. Old Core out, New Core in.

some random tweets.

Several teams inquiring on Charlotte point guard D.J. Augustine, league sources say. Bobcats are listening.

NBA GM No. 1: "I'm through done dealing with (Celtics') Danny Ainge. Bleep him."

ESPN.com said:
Sources with knowledge of New Jersey’s thinking told ESPN.com on Thursday morning that the Nets’ position won’t change even if the Los Angeles Lakers offer them Pau Gasol in a package for Williams before the deadline.
