The connection between Jax and the Spurs transcends anything he could have accomplished there. He will be an improvement over Jefferson... immediately.

The glory days of the "We Believe" era for Jax were all wiped out for me personally the way he handled his out of GSW. Wish him the best of luck with the Spurs but I'll take Jefferson any day over what Captain Jack would have done to this new young GSW team.

In short, win win for both teams! LOL

Sessions is completely average in pretty much everything. Shot isn't that great, average speed, passing, defense. He's a good backup. Don't expect Chris Paul.

Lakers-age is huge on this kid and have basically been convinced he's the second coming. They were arguing earlier he was better than Brandon jennings, i just can't believe that.

And let's just stop the frigging "imagine with a healthy roy and oden-" no. It's frigging over, even without those 2, we were balling before this team decided to crap the bed. We almost beat OKC twice and we had a pretty good record.

We aren't going to Mark Jackson "I'm not making excuses.........but I'm making excuses"

THIS IS A NO EXCUSE BASKETBALL TEAM.

Lakers-age. I just realized.

Fisher's last field goal for the Lakers was essentially a game winning shot.

Went out with a blaze of glory.

Conversation with my wife last night as we were prepping dinner with the game on in the kitchen went sorta like this:

Me: "Babe, there are rumors of Fish being traded too. He just doesn't produce. It would suck, but I doubt it happens.

Her: "But I like Fisher, he always makes a shot when the Lakers need it.

*Fisher hits late shot to ice the game*

Her: "You see!"

Me (acting stupid): "DAT'S ALL HE DO IS HIT BIG SHOTS! FIIISH! WHOOOO!"

Me: "It's gonna be a sad day when he isn't a Laker any more."

Her: "I know."

: (

Love you Fish. Best wishes. Thanks for all the memories.

I know what you mean. But with an average point guard, we wouldn't need a clutch shot.

Source told me Nick Young was supposed to go to DEN, but Young declined to surrender "Bird rights." LAC served as facilitator for #wizards

Ouch, Denver. He didn't want to live there for 2 months.

How many times do members of Lakers-age have to repeat that we know he's average.

Jennings is a chucker combo guard, do not want. Not only would I side on the Ramon side of a Ramon Vs. Jennings argument, but Ramon fills way more of the lakers needs than Jennings. Brandon would be an upgrade but Ramon is a better fit for this team.

This is fine, mainly because of who he'll be passing to. Kobe, Pau and Blake (and McBobs sometimes) shouldn't be the only ones who actually throw good lob passes.

If he can throw a post-entry pass, he is already valuable. If he can maintain his current 3pt%, he is fine. If he can not let opposing PGs not named CP3 or Deron go off for regular career highs every time they play, he is fine.

No one is acting like we have the coup of the century--all we wanted was a decent PG so we wouldn't get torched on a nightly basis. We have that, thus joy.

Still, trading Fisher hurts.
I would've wanted him off the bench, but he wouldn't accept that.

Oh, and Fuck you, TCB.

A league source tells me the #Blazers intend on waving center Greg Oden.

2 years too late, IMO.

Can't believe that franchise made the same mistake twice.
I know the reasoning, but its still crazy.

The fact of the matter is, he's an upgrade over Derek Fisher. The Lakers get a younger point guard who can run the point position, attack the basket and create shots for other by his dribble penetration. Outside of Kobe Bryant, that's what the Lakers desperately lacked over the past 10+ years from their back court player.

If Ramon Sessions shows he can run the point guard position for this Laker team, this will Kobe Bryant by lowering his minutes.

These are one of the few reason why the Lakers and it's fans wanted a point guard.

I hope you know how blessed you are to have that conversation.

Her: When is that stupid game going to be over?
Me: in 5 min god damn it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Believe me, I know it's for the better. I welcome it as a Lakers fan who wants them to improve. But it's still sad, so many great moments over the years.

Aside from the everyday grinding over the seasons, a few defining moments:

0:04
2 x clutch threes in the Finals against ORL
Scola elbow to the chest

This one hurts the most. I was so happy he did that. Now he has to play alongside with him.

You literally don't understand how playoff basketball works. And that's what Fisher is for.

Getting rid of Fish is going to bite them in the ass if Kobe has to pass out to Ron or Sessions out of a double team in the closing seconds. I honestly can't remember a time that Kobe passed out to Fisher on a go ahead / tying bucket with less than a minute to go and Fisher missed it. I'm sure it's happened, but I don't remember a time.

If he really was causing problems in the locker room or wasn't gonna be cool with getting his minutes cut...than fine trade him. But this cost-cutting move to save a few million, fuck Jim Buss

Okay, I'm not mobile anymore, so I can now actually type out of my feelings.

Most of Lakers gaf right here hated fisher for his boneheaded moves on the fastbreak, and his ego getting to the best of him and things like that. However, I wish nothing but the best for Fisher. I love Fisher, we all do. Sure we tell him to retire and shit like that every time he plays and that he sucks and shit and lololol foot on the line only fisher goddammit lolool but I love the guy. Gave us basketball back in november. I really hope that he doesn't put a rocket uniform on and that Houston really buys him out. The Lakers can sign him to a 1 day contract and let him retire in the purple and gold like he deserves. I hope he can get a spot on the coaching staff next week. Thank you Fisher. For everything.

and and fuck tcb

I SHALL QUOTE YOU BROTHER!

I'm at a loss for words at what has gone down today for Portland.

Wow. All hope is lost, rebuilding has begun.

Hire D'Antoni!

Blake can hit the shot.

It doesn't fucking matter. Fisher can't play in this league, anymore. If the Lakers are down 3 and need a 3 or whatever, it just means if Fisher was starting they'd be down 8 instead.

this was not just about money. it was most certainly about him being a problem in the locker room with Sessions in. he was the one starting the anti-Brown shit for not running the triangle. He was the one that the LA Times reporter mentioned was already ticked off in offseason about Brown saying Fisher "might" start.

So yes, it had to be done.

He missed a three against Washington that would have basically sealed the game.
