NFL Off-Season Thread: "Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?"

I hope you guys are wrong. If not then the Bucs once again find themselves exactly 1 draft pick outside of getting the player they need. They would have to go with Reiff since every other position they have a need at doesnt have a player really worthy of anything higher than a #15 pick or so.

At this point if I was running the Bucs I would just start drafting guys that teams behind me need whether I need the players or not. Start passing down the shithouse karma.

Yup. Started when fragile Bob went down for the year. Good safety, not great. Can also play corner.

Sounds like an upgrade time to get excited.

The Patriots have a center for next season: the team has reached an agreement to re-sign Dan Connolly, according to a league source.

Pats have resigned Conolly. This most likely means the end of Koppen. He was a damn good center for the Pats

The Patriots signed DT Marcus Harrison, and finalized the contract of WR Matthew Slater according to the league wire.

Not sure if this was posted. Who is Marcus Harrison?

Flynn might turn out to be a much better long term solution. He will be cheaper in the long run which should allow you to complement him with some offensive weapons.
Do Packers fans actually believe Flynn is a good quarterback? I thought it was pretty obvious that his two good games were the result of being surronded by amazing skill players on offense and facing two of the shittiest defenses in the nfl.

I feel sorry for Dolphins fans. It's like they have leprosy in that building. I'd put money on Flynn just using them to get a better deal, and ultimately ending up in SEA

You could still get Wright or maybe Floyd at around 22 so its possible.

I doubt if Floyd will drop that low, but I'd love to have him. He's got hands and fights for that ball. I honestly like him more than Blackmon.

If Browns stick at 4, I honestly think they'll take Claiborn as well. I think they're going to try and address RB elsewhere. I just do not see them taking Richardson at 4. I just don't see it happening.

Crazy as it sounds?

I think he would be in the top half of all the starting quarterbacks in the NFL.

So....above average?

You know its bad when Rams fans feel sorry for your team. :jnc

Ross is such a shittacular owner, everything he swings at he misses (Harbaugh, Fisher, now Manning)

I just did and FUUUUUUCKKKKK! The man is racist as hell. Didn't know that until you guys brought it up.

Haha, from the first result:

White said he has thought about why God created different races. Each race has certain gifts, he said.

Blacks are gifted at worship and celebration, White said.

"If you go to a black church, you see people jumping up and down because they really get into it," he said.

Whites are good at organization, White said.

"You guys do a good job of building businesses and things of that nature, and you know how to tap into money," he said.

"Hispanics were gifted in family structure, and you can see a Hispanic person, and they can put 20, 30 people in one home."

THE JAPANESE AND other Asians are inventive, and "can turn a television into a watch," White said. Indians are gifted in spirituality, he said.

"When you put all of that together, guess what it makes: It forms a complete image of God," White said.

Dude should become a scientist.

Yeah he is a pretty bad owner, but at least he tries to make the team better. He just fails so bad at doing it :(

For whatever reason, I think that this would make a great mural. White people collecting money, Asians turning a TV into a watch, Black people singing in a church, Hispanics being loaded into a house, and Indians being spiritual and stuff. What could go wrong?

You were crazy Reggie LOL.

Oshiomogho Atogwe is visiting the Lions next week! I recall him being super hyped before being drafted...what's the word on him now?

I could see this working. Like one of the City Hall murals on Parks & Rec.

Mario Manningham, Steve Smith, Shaun Hill, Scott Wells, Travelle Wharton.

All of those guys are in the Rams building currently. They have so many open roster spots they'll probably sign a few

Detroit showed interest in him before while he was in St. Louis, so we'll see!

And I just read how much Tulloch is asking for. Looking for a contract similiar (i.e. Bigger) than what D'Qwell Jackson got, which was a 5 year deal worth $42.5 million with $19 million guaranteed. No wonder we havn't signed him yet lol

That thing should be "signing with the Jags". Poor dude.

After last year I'd be happy with Tebow again. He has to improve of course, but I think he can do it. If Manning doesn't come to town Tebow shouldn't be upset by Denver going for a future HOF QB. We still have to draft or pick up other QBs just in case he doesn't improve or gets hurt. Broncos still look good in a weak division. It will still be up for grabs. Nothing to feel bad about in my book. Plus we still have the ability to sign guys and improve or add depth.

I dislike Ross with a passion, but Flynn hasn't proven anything yet. If he successfully gets more money somewhere else, and that's his major motivation, please go ahead. Sign with whomever you like. Rams should consider trading for Matt Moore to improve their QB situation, there, I said it. :P

Good point. Also, there's a UFA QB who led his team to the NFC Championship game. Why are people paying for Flynn and not that guy?
