I think Nate did well with what he had, and all the injuries. But:
1) All the injuries. God DAMN. And yes, some of that is on the head coach, a lot on the medical staff. They all needed to work better on injury prevention and management.
2) he's had a LOT of talent pass beneath him over the last 4 or 5 years and never made it out of the first round. That's pretty brutal.
3)He's never had stellar offensive schemes. Their best years were with Andre running things. And even then, that was initially a fight to stop him letting Roy run iso's. But when Dre was sent away, he was fucked. Whether it was his choice to trade for Felton, i don't know. But that screwed that team.
4) The locker room. It was him, or Felton and Crawford gone. Felton is still there, so Nate had to go.
I think he's a solid coach, with out ever being great. But there are going to be fall guys for Portland blowing all this up, and its started with Nate (they NEED TO CLEAR THEIR MEDICAL AND TRAINING STAFF). TBH, it might be a good thing for him, if they're starting from scratch again.
He should still get a job relatively easily. Hell, he could follow Cho to the Bobcats easily enough.

Almost everly thread I've seen a conservative get banned it has been because of the poster trolling, habitually lying, insulting other posters or hijacking threads with intentionally inflammatory behavior that adds nothing to the conversation.
