First emails went out on late the 16th, when you make your account it says 10 days from now you can get the client.

Within 10 days. I didn't take that as meaning 10 days exactly but you're right that it definitely opens that possibility up.
I'm cautiously optimistic for the weekend of the 24th with details mid week.
That would actually make more sense so that the people invited got to play at the same time as the press giving people a larger group of possible people to play with.
Like I said before, they made it sound like holding a beta weekend is quite a large effort from the whole team as they play along and help people out. I doubt they'd do this two weekends in a row. The invited and the press will be playing together.

There were definitely no invites sent out since the first wave. That's probably all there will be too.

One can only wish. Only one dev before ever hooked me up with codes to get into alpha/beta. And I still have a man crush on him for it!
Come on ANet. My gf's going away for the weekend, i'm working 6 days straight until then, this would be nice to look forward to the end of the week for!

Seriously though, I would absolutely love for this to happen. It was amazing when the Blizzard guy got a bunch of people into the D3 Beta.

I think I'd much rather be in this beta than the D3 beta. More than 3 hours of content to play in GW2 beta.

Same, I haven't been invited to any beta i've ever signed up for.
Starcraft II (got in during the last week or so due to it basically turning into "everyone gets it" status and even that was because my friend got a fucking 2nd code from Blizzard at the end).
Diablo III (pisses me off to no fucking end whenever I read someone state that they don't even play it.)
Countless MMO's over the years.
And so far, nothing for GuildWars 2, not getting my hopes up.
I played about 10 minutes this week. I've had this thing for months and months and months. There's only like 10 hours of content in the damn thing anyway, THERES NO FLAVOUR LEFT I NEED A NEW FLAVOUR.
More like 2-3, if you don't want to clear it with all classes.
As for the GW2, I wonder if the second wave got sent already, since I've still got nothing.
I feel the same way.
This is why I've stopped signing up for betas. That and because it really takes away from the experience of getting the game after it comes out and having it all fresh. Much more satisfying.

Well it wasn't explicitly stated, but they said invites would be going out "over the next few days" after the first wave went out. We'll see.
They did say on twitter when the keys went out
"Next few days" with nothing to show for it yet isn't very specific. And they didn't announce when invites went out, they were sent in the middle of the night and were asked about it. That was their response.

i think he means more of a "hey first batch of invites just went out" then maybe "hey guys second wave just went out" then probably "hey everyone we're all done sending invites for today but we'll let you know when we send some out tomorrow"....that would deff be helpful and save lots of F5 keys
