Lots of anime portray females in a positive position of strength though. Its pretty common to see. All those femme fatales kicking ass Agent Aika style.

"Lupin III: A Woman Called Fujiko Mine" PV incoming... they aired a two minute clip at a Lupin event in Japan last night.
The event in question was a classic Lupin the night (ルパン・ザ・night), and I've seen confirmed the projection of a promotional trailer (in here http://www.cinematoday.jp/page/N0040333, for example). I seriously thought they were going to reserve that for their TAF showing!

You were doing so well until you used the example of Agent Aika, a show devoted almost entirely to panty shots. Deliberate choice?

Nisemonogatari 11 FINAL

The plot throughout was unfocused and meandering compared to Bake. But then, I don't watch -monogatari for the plot. I watch it for the banter, the fanservice, and seeing Araragi get the crap beaten out of him, and I got plenty of that.

4 supernatural haremettes out of 5.

I don't know if it's pretty common. As a proportion if the whole it seems rather low.

Thanks for the info! Love that picture of MP with the new Master Files DVD. Did you attend the event, by chance?

Most females overpower the males physically in anime.:p

Basically.
WIth few exceptions, most anime schoolgirls for example are capable of positively superhuman feats of strength and agility and can often summon enormous powers or abilities. I don't know if Japan is overcompensating for anything in society, but that's how anime is usually portrayed.

Samurai Champloo END - Pretty good final two episodes. I didn't really like the resolution, though. Overall it was like a 6.5/10 kind of series, but what made it worthwhile was the dynamic between the main characters. They worked so well together.

I tried watching Future Diary/Mirai Nikki, but the 1st episode was too silly for me. Gonna finish Steins;Gate or start on GitS:SAC, though I kinda just want an action anime.

Ozma 1

This was pretty bad. The characters and story was all pretty boring, Yellow and Red were the only have decent characters. The art is pretty bad too, they tried and failed to get that 80's style, and just ended up with wierdly proportioned characters.

Anyone who thinks that Moelicious Pirates has technobabble needs to watch this, though.

Just goes to show you can't bring back the 80s.

It is overdone. To be honest I've grown pretty tired of it. the main reason I don't really like most tsunderes. Do you really have to beat the shit out of somebody to demonstrate that you somehow secretly like them? Its absurd. I mean, like all the name calling "baka baka" shit I can tolerate but when it escalates to violence the sense that the main character could possibly be attracted to the insane girl is not very believable.

Gunderes are the revolution.

Kinda the reason I liked MM! was because you had the male-beating female lead but the main character was a masochist which resulted in some funny scenes. Otherwise, yeah, the whole trope is completely overdone and unfunny.

Utena 2
Fuller impressions later:

Utena is being tsundere for Anthy
Saionji is way too possessive and stalkerish

Magical Girl Utena
ABSOLUTE DESTINY APOCALYPSE
oh, and the history of the earth, mixed with other lyrics

Lack of action anime is killing me right now. I like Steins;Gate, but people aren't kidding about it starting off slow.

I started this last week. I've heard good things, but the first episode felt like a brick wall. Will continue, but it's resisting me a bit.

Edit: Dang, here I go collecting more Nichigifs!

Wow i'm surprised you haven't seen it yet.

There's so much HNNNNGH worthy material in that show.

Consider that Im currently working througH:

Ano Natsu, SPace Pirates, Chihayafuru, Rinne, Nichibros, Inu X Boku, Another, Code Geass R2 and about to start several others. I can only do so much. The hnnng to free time ratio is staggering.
