Is there even a small part of the Horde that even remotely trusts the Undead?

A raid to kill Varian would b 1000% better.

Undead will definitely be the leader after Garrosh for that very reason. Sylvannas will keep the two sides from getting chummy, guaranteed. And I wouldnt be surprised if Varian is killed tbh, leaving Jaina to take over.

This is WoW, so I'm guessing Garrosh will simply "make a deal" with the proverbial (Asian-themed) devil and promise Orc slavery again in return for "MOAR HORDE POWAR" the will make true Horde be like "No, fuck you."

Then I predict Sylvanas to become the new Horde Warmistress or something.
After reading the novel though, there's no way he would do that. He's way too prideful to accept that kind of power without earning it, and it's just not in his character to take the cheap way out for power. He believes in his strength, and that alone. Hell, you should've read how much he completely felt like a complete shit (and how he fixed it) after he found out what Magatha did to his blade in the mak'gora.

He's gonna have to do something like rounding up tons of orphans and murdering them, scattering pieces of their remains in towns or something.

10,000 waterfalls? That's thread title hook worthy.

It really is.

I'm sure Blizzard actually thinks the heroic versions of the dungeons they added in Cataclysm were challenging as well, and we all know if you have the concept know as "logic", they are a fucking joke.

I was especially disgusted with the 3 Dragon Soul dungeons, such a joke. First one was decent because of the alternate random paths and hourglass of time, second one was the best because of Illidan, third one was pure garbage with no effort put into it. All were easy as hell though and it wasn't hard to get at least 5 runs of each one in day 1 of the patch.

The Cataclysm shipping heroics, pre-nerf, were actually a pretty good challenge. But alas, they were too hard for the average player. A few of them, and some achievements for them were on a raid level difficulty. Which is fine if you want a challenge, but even for a good player can become exhausting grinding them out week after week. The original heroic Deadmines/Grim Batol (and maybe a couple others) were not easy, and it took at least 45 minutes with all the trash. Really too long if you just wanted to sit down and have some quick fun. Though I do think there is a place for longer 5-mans, ala UBRS or BRD. Hopefully the challenge mode dungeons are at this level or higher.

•They have always wanted minor glyphs to be ‘fun’ glyphs. We will be seeing a lot of new minor glyphs that do fun things such as a minor glyph that makes the Mage “Teleport: Dalaran” send you to the Dalaran crater instead of Dalaran in Northrend. A Warrior could have one that fears critters when they use Battle Shout or Commanding Shout.

Dick mode activate for all mages.

That was going to be the first thing I commented about. Sounds like fun.

I would be pissed if Varian is killed. He actually has legitimate reason for his behavior, unlike Garrosh.

The same heroics that fucked us up are easy as shit today because of the 40% health and damage nerfs all across the board. I've played alts in 333 gear and I didn't wipe a single time in any of my 20+ runs through the heroics.

Pretty sure this isn't true, also old heroics still fuck up LFD groups all the time, ran them a bunch on my rogue alt. Even running them on my raid-geared priest main (when I got bored of HoT heroics) I couldn't heal through the failure a bunch of times.

it's impossible to heal through the ZG failure, everyone has forgotten how to do it

Might be in the minority here, but everything about this expansion looks and sounds like a ton of fun. Fairly positive I'll be re-upping my subscription.

I don't know what kind of bad luck you're dealing with here - but the 4.1 heroics were hard. They're not hard anymore, no matter what gear your group is equipped with. People just need to stop sucking hard and they'll go through the dungeon. In vanilla 4.1, "not sucking" wasn't the only thing that was required of you as a player - you really needed to know everything about the boss before pulling - heck even small mistakes on TRASH caused the party to wipe.

I remember the nerf-hammer very well, it was around 5 pages of text on mmo-champions. Horrid times.

How hard is it to re-do or touch up 10 character models? I'm actually asking because I have no idea.

I can't really say for sure. But it's more like 20 models when you consider both genders. Then there's the matter of making sure all the armor/weapons in the game work fine on those 20 new models.

It's something that has to take a back seat to making new content I guess.

If there going to do it, I want them to do it right, which means touched up animations as well, especially human male. I would assume they would also have to go and touch up every old piece of armor in the game.

It needs to be done though, sooner then later.

If it drops and you want it, you hit need and you get it. Period, and anyone else who wants it gets it too. Theres no limits. LFR will provide gear lower than the normal runs do, and its more for just seeing the content than it is for gearing up.

Its a heroic dungeon with 24 people that you will now be guaranteed to get loot from, so long as the item you are looking for drops. They will probably cut the number of items that drop per boss down a lot. But I dont see why they should. LFR isnt really about the loot.

This isn't how it reads at all. What is described is still a roll and there's still a win condition. If it worked like you described, it wouldn't get explained to anyone in the way it was here; they'd just say "if loot drops for your class you get it". Sounds more like the game presents you a win condition and you just roll against that rather than involve other players.

I just don't see the Undead as leaders. Sylvanas is slowly being built up into Lich King 2.0, and none of the Horde races would willingly follow the Undead. It'll be some new Orc, or Thrall, or Vol'jin.

I remember in WoTLK beta that Blizzard put in new models for every race and there was an absolute shitstorm so they changed them back. Why they don't just give people the option for each individual race model like EQ2 does is beyond me.

Glyph of Stars: Transforms your Moonkin Form into Astral Form. This glyph essentially makes your character appear as a spirit instead of a moonkin. You look very nearly like you do while dead -- but people can see you this time. And your armor, for that matter.
Glyph of the Orca: Transforms your Aquatic Form into an orca. This one is pretty straightforward. Remember those orcas in Northrend? Yeah. Much better than your weird snarling rubbery seal.
Glyph of the Chameleon: Gives you a random appearance when you shift into Bear or Cat Form. Essentially, this one gives you a random coloring every time you shift. Great for breaking up the monotony of locked-in bear/cat coloring.
Glyph of the Stag: Transforms your Travel Form into a stag that other players can mount. Yes, that's right. Your pals can ride you while you're in Travel Form, and you're also a stag instead of the clearly-inferior cheetah.
Glyph of the Tree: Lets you transform into Treant Form.

One supercharges your Unleash Elements to provide a much better bonus for each imbue type.
Another removes the cooldown on your Fire and Earth Elemental Totems and allows you to control them.
And the last is a blast of elemental energy in a cone on a 15s cooldown.

Oh kay, some of these sound really fucking cool.

Glyph of Eye of Kilrogg: Your Eye of Kilrogg no longer has stealth, but it can place your Demonic Circle.

Hmm, shame demonic circle has such shit range.

Err, if they did this it wasn't in the public beta. Because I was in the public beta from pretty much the beginning of it o_o.

Shaman

I checked the shaman first because I main a shaman. I wanted to check to see if the level 90 talents were in, and by golly, they were! Our premade characters were only level 85, so I couldn't test them out, but I did write 'em down for you.

One supercharges your Unleash Elements to provide a much better bonus for each imbue type.
Another removes the cooldown on your Fire and Earth Elemental Totems and allows you to control them.

Bear in mind that talents are still being worked on and these may not be final. I also may not have remembered the nuances of each. We couldn't take screenshots, so this is the best you'll get until they update the talent calculator.

Also of note: Totems are no longer listed as separate spells in your spellbook. There's an expandable button for each kind of totem, and you can pull totems from there if you want to put specific ones on your bar.

Warlocks

I played around with a destruction warlock to try out the new Fel Embers resource system. You get more Fel Embers each time you cast Incinerate on an Immolated target, building up a maximum of (I think) 90. Every 30 Embers you build up, your character becomes more and more covered in flame. You also take damage over time, increasing with each Flame. The flames act as a damage buff, but are also used as a resource for some of your other spells. You have to strike a balance between the damage boost, the damage you're taking, and how many Embers you need to use for abilities.

Demonology warlocks can also look forward to Demonic Fury as their new resource. You can turn into a demon with Demonic Fury, and the form persists as long as you still have unspent Demonic Fury. Some abilities in Demon Form use up the Fury, and when you run out, you revert back to your normal form. I didn't get a lot of time with Demonic Fury, but it was certainly cool to walk around as a demon as long as I wanted!

Here are some fun minor glyphs I found as well:

Glyph of Felguard: Equips your felguard with a random two-handed sword, two-handed axe, or polearm when you summon him.
Glyph of Eye of Kilrogg: Your Eye of Kilrogg no longer has stealth, but it can place your Demonic Circle.

Monks

Of note for monks is the removal of the dual Light/Dark Force resource system, replaced with the singular Chi system. Reps told us that tracking three resources on top of procs, buffs, etc. was just too much and didn't make for compelling gameplay. I really enjoyed the little bit of monk gameplay I got to try, especially seeing the new monk animations hooked up to older races like the draenei.

I like the map. I think this will be a fun expansion because it is more of a diversion. Which is closer to Vanilla and BC (the storylines in BC didn't have the same single-minded focus as in Wrath or Cataclysm, even though Illidan was supposed to be the "big bad". More side story stuff in BC too I think, compared to Wrath, and definitely compared to Cata)

It's like WoW meets Jade Empire, which is pretty cool.

I'm really more curious than ever now as to where the plot is going to go with Garrosh being overthrown/killed at the end of Mists. For known quantities, there's either more Burning Legion, or Queen Azshara/Naga. At the very least Azshara needs something else supporting her - I don't think she could carry a whole expansion by herself.
