Any pictionary type games for local multiplayer? Either pass and play or perhaps with AirPlay support so I can draw on the iPad and it shows up on the tv? Both charadium and draw something seem to be online only
If you have two devices, any drawing app on one to mirror to screen + Scorekeeper (which is pretty nice) to keep score? Yes I realize that's a ghetto setup but the simplicity is kind of nice. Plus you could save drawings (and the drawing in action with some apps)! ...but not keep track of hilariously bad guesses.

Concerning Civ Rev

I think the new iPad can actually handle the console version of Civ Rev. I hope they do a Civ Rev 2 with the console aesthetic

id rather see them doing a proper Civ game.

Civ Rev is way to simplistic for me to play longer than 15 minutes not being bored out of my mind

Nice deal on the cards, I was down to under $20. Now with the $125 I should be good for a couple of years. The last time I purchased cards they were 30% at Wal-Mart (a couple of years ago). This deal is pretty close. Plus I don't have to leave the house:).

Yeah, it was great timing for me. I wanted to sign up to iTunes Match, but didn't have enough credit left.

Is that an IAP? What do you get for free? Just Arcade Mode? Do you have to unlock it for both iPhone and iPad separately (so pay twice)? If you delete it from your device, do you have to pay again if you reinstall?

It is an IAP, as you said only the Arcade mode is free, but the game is the Career mode. There is a restore purchases, I purchased the game on my iPhone and was able to play on my iPad without any further costs.

The thing about New Star Soccer is that it's so frustrating that you'll ping passes about and score goals more often than not. But your team will be crap and get beat, so all of your work kinda goes to nothing.

My star rating has gone up, I'm playing for Juventus now, but it still feels like winning a league or cup is just complete luck. It's hard to keep fans happy if I'm hitting a hat-trick but we're getting beat 4-3 and the fans lose points off the ratings.

How do you restore a purchase?

Shop -> Restore

I've been able to get Doncaster (I think) from League 2 to top of the Championship in consecutive seasons on my iPad, and on my iPhone I haven't lost a game since I joined Stoke in the Premiership.

My work rate is always two hearts, unless we're losing and I put it to three.

This appears to be what has broken it on my iPad :( I don't know what the exact problem is, and the dev is stumped too at the moment, but I hope there's a way to sort it. Every time I click 'Restore' or OK on 'You've already bought this...', the app crashes and just closes immediately.

I'm wondering if it's worth asking Apple to remove the purchase from my account so I can try making the purchase from the beginning again and see if that fixes it.

I have heard the new iPad displays retina iPhone apps at their native 960x640 rather than the old resolution for no particular reason like the OG and 2. Is this true?

Supposedly yes, but it still has the black bar border like blown up iPhone apps look on an iPad 2. It's just that the blown up image isn't quite as ugly.

Am super sad that my parents pretty much use their $500 ipads just for solitaire.

Any 'easy games on the controls and eyes' for the old folks? I think I'm gonna get them peggle.

Based on what my girlfriend and now her parents with a Kindle Fire play:

Bejeweled
Plants vs Zombies
Fairway Solitaire
Drop 7
Slingo Supreme

There's a game breaking bug in NSS where the MLS title game cannot be played between the East and the West. The game just ends up freezing every time you try and play. Devs are on getting it fixed for the next patch.

Does anyone here link EA iOS games with Origin? Is it worth doing?

only one I did it for was Mass Effect Infiltrator and that was to help boost galaxy readiness... but seeing as it takes a while, and you can gain 4% readiness even if you lose a multiplayer match, it's kinda pointless in the grand scheme. Worked though.

Just noticed that Draw Something is up on FreeMyApps, might as well grab it now. I think it was 70 points.

edit: Nevermind, it's 260 points instead. Not sure why it's so high, kind of annoying, but I'll still grab it.

A Bards Tale?

you don't have too many choices outside of the Gameloft titles. if you wait a while, infinity blade dungeons looks like it's going to be up our alley. in the short term, there is companions HD, which kind of scratches that Itch. there's always the very simplistic pocket RPG, which looks good, but is barely a dungeon crawler. your best bet really is companions HD....

there may be about three or four other ones either coming down the pipe or hidden deep within the iTunes store. I will see if I can find them and post them all here. None of them are particularly great, but it's still good to know. Oh and like someone recommended earlier, a Bard's Tale. That's pretty good.

sorry for the juvenile looking post. I haven't figured out how to capitalize using the dictation tool.

Bullshit game. Flying at the top of the league, 10 games left. Then the girlfriend decides to have a moan, team morale PLUMMETS and we lose most of the next 10 games and finish 2nd in the league.

League cup final and we're winning 2-1. 89th minute and Parma score. Extra time and they score again and I'm knackered then.

Off to Barca now. Fair bit of a wage increase too. Not sure I'll keep playing after this season though. The feeling of helplessness when trying to win a league or cup just annoys me too much. Aged 22 in the game so done a few seasons.

Edit: Nah, not sure I can be bothered even doing this season. Still, I've had my 69p's worth. Just getting a bit fed up of it now.

Then go into settings and filter out non-US/whatever content.

Awesome, didn't know there was an actual settings tab. I did know the filters but I couldn't find an option for the region specific content but in the settings tab there is an option for turning on just the Western Apps.

Thanks.

dev posted this about those Triple Town update on TA forums the other day:
http://forums.toucharcade.com/showpost.php?p=2186056&postcount=313

Just wanted to give you guys the heads-up; the Android version of TT now has new modes that are free to players who purchased unlimited turns. One mode is basically "zen/practice" mode -- 5x5 grid with no bears. No bears makes it easier but 5x5 means you do need to be careful about where you build things. The other mode puts a lake in the center of the map; makes everything harder (also, the stash moves to the center of the map). Basically a challenge mode for experts.

We'll be hopefully releasing this update on iOS as well in about a week, assuming no hiccups in the approval process.
