Demon the only reason I was annoyed was because you took CS in lane so I just left you to do your own thing which is to be g I mean pull an Uncle. Besides, you know how I can get hella annoying n shit.

You will need to mess around with the position a little, it puts it in the space between Dire heroes and KDA.
 
I'm not complaining, I think the videos are great. It's just that opening youtube at work raises some eyebrows while scrolling past a gif is easy enough.

I'm being stomped left and right past few days, going from 80-50 W/R to 99-92. Let me walk you through my last two games.

Enemy (Dire) picks SK and Ursa. Now, everyone knows what this means. Roshan level 1. I'm slither, I buy wards and walk to rosh. I ward that and pull back. 10 seconds later SK and Ursa come along and disappear towards the pit. By now I've been calling and pinging the Rosh pit. One of my teammates (slardar) is there. The ward also spots the three other enemy heroes hanging around Rosh. By the time our third Zeus gets near the river, they've killed Roshan and get the chance to pick off Zeus and Slardar as well. Our fourth and fifth (CM/BH) are top, despite our wards and pings and whatnot. The entire team is level 4. I with slar lane versus SK and Ursa, which they own hands down because level 4 vs level 1 is really hard to win with that lineup. Oh and because I bought wards for Rosh, CM decides not to buy a courier. Game is lost within 25 minutes.

Second game, Dire this time around. Me (dazzle) and clinkz top versus Beastmaster and Tide. We won the lane, but didn't get a kill because dazzle and clinkz are not really killers. Still, with no deaths and all the farm it went fine. Our two russian friends decide to random AA and Lina and feed the botplayers (BH and Lesh) 5-1 and 4-0. Razor does fine vs enemy Puck, but with enough BH ganks he also loses. Puck and Leshrac with levels and farm mean they will every teamgame and push like mad. What's also thrilling is that both Lina and/or AA haven't bought a single support item. Courier, wards, counter wards and flying upgrade were all on me. Game ends in 30 minutes. At the end I manage to end with 1-3, actually having the best score of my team. AA, Razor and Lina all end around the 2-13 with clinkz having 2-6.

TLDR: no matter what, I can't get to get a break when it comes to teammates. No communication, no map awareness, no sense of buying support items and in general just being pretty bad. At this point the only thing you can do is go mid and try to make a big enough splash so that the other 4 don't die, but sometimes even that isn't enough. Supporting is such a vital role but if I don't do it, noone does it. And even if I do it, people don't do enough with the vision or the farm because they are terrible.

As many forum users have managed to stalk out, a lot of professional Chinese players have made the switch into Dota 2 of late. Teams like DK, CLC, and World Elite have officially announced their focus on Dota 2 while others are reluctant or may be training in private. These three Chinese teams will debut their secret training in joinDOTA Masters against the finest the South East Asia region has to offer. However, DK will only be playing on the 25th while World Elite will only be playing on the 28th.

Playing Support in a pub is a terrible idea (unless your MMR is high enough), you need to play a Hero that can carry/gank.
 
I'm definitely looking forward to this, especially given Chinese and SE Asian involvement in competitions has dropped off rapidly after the International. Will be interesting to see how they respond to the heavy pushing emphasis of late. Could perhaps be seeing a lot of Dragon Knight, good push/antipush carry and he sounded popular in the east a few months ago.

Still guessing at least Lycan tomorrow for the test.

Yeah i find that i win much more as a solo mid or carry, the problem is that if i'm soloqueing i don't really trust my teammates to buy courier and support stuff.

No matter what Valve does to create ratingsystems or whatever for pubs there isnt gonna be a big different in playing in a low/medium/high bracket, there are still idiots.

I get matched with competetive players sometimes but still I get matched with dumbasses. Like this Skeleton King that maxed lifesteal instead of stun/crit and went for a mek and pipe.

I asked him why and he responded in cryllic moon language.

There are retards in all brackets and pubs shouldnt be considered so serious anyway, if you wanna go competetive contacs other competetive teams somehow and scrim eachother.

Hey, no problem. I'm always asking questions. I find that, given the ever changing state of the metagame, it's usually best to just ask those far more knowledgeable than myself.

I want to echo this idea as well. Easily the most frustrating experience in a game to babysit a carry who can't last hit to save their life, gets ganked even if you ward and ping in coming enemies and buys terrible items.

If you are matchmaking with friends though, I find supporting is less aggravating. At least they'll listen when you tell them things. I think I've had the most success in low tier matchmaking by playing semi-carries since they can have a large impact on the game very early.

But I haven't played a lot of MM games so your mileage may vary.
 
I have the highest win ratios as support, mainly since if I don't pick support, my team isn't going to have one. I'll try and wait to pick someone who I think will work in the line up.


Also, finally recorded the a video of our team turning what should of been an easy kill against me as Crystal Maiden into a double kill. I tried using the built in source engine movie recorder, which resulted in great quality, but the sound didn't get recorded. It is in 1080p though, and looks great.

alt-skill letter will toggle orb effects on and off.

The best thing about her is her jungling and the creeps you can use to push or gank lanes. It's a very core part of her early game, if you're ok with micro I'd recommend practicing it more.

This is true.

Its annoying when you loose just because your team just not thinking. The team just kept farming while Brood Mother, Chen, and Wind Runner took down every T1 and T2 tower in the first 20 minutes. Oh well.

I always make sure to tell people I'm new and to please be aware of that. I can't tell you have many times my last two games I was called a noob fag shitty Dota player by people who were like 3-8-1 as opposed to my 1-0-3. WTF. They feed and then they bitch when I eventually get ganked because they didn't call out missing in their lanes.

The disconnect people have from their actions never ceases to astound me.

Furion jungling the whole game, getting a naked sheep at minute 30?? Nothing more
CM going jungle. Ok wat? But what the fuck? Getting orchid and not even finishing it at all during the whole game?
What the fuck is happening?

A little bit of Dunning-Kruger, a little bit of the team not communicating enough, and a dash of the good old pub mentality of Farming as Gankers and Disablers when 4 enemy heroes are barreling down mid with 25 spiders, a few Chen Creeps, and a nice normal creep wave. No no, keep farming Sandking, not like you could do anything to stop a push. I'm sure that 45 minute Radiance is important. Don't you dare buy a TP scroll, that will delay your Relic.


Also, I'm sorry I "ksed" as Zeus Spirit Breaker, its not like they have a Global Heal or anything, or that Wind Runner could of just shackled together if I didn't nuke her before bash worse off.

Take a look at match 8146299. Yeah, I did some dumb shit too, but at least I tried to defend.

I don't know if that's as bad as shadowfiend getting travel, 3 perseverance then battlefury and trying to backdoor all game while the other team pushes. It very well could be though.
 
I finally have my internet, so I can play Dota 2 again. Don't know if anyone remembers me, I didn't play for all that long before I had to cut internet due to tight finances :|
 
Hooray I got an invite. Is the community horrible in this game yet or is everyone chill because it's still beta? Because I'm probably gonna be a big feeder for my first 10 hours while I learn how to play.

yes it is annoying, but you must be aware that it isnt quite fun to play with people who dosent know anything about the game. Play against bots first, then when you think you have a great sense about the game you can move over to regular match making.
