One thing for season 3 they need to work on is Lori, the actress is lovely in delivering a scene but the character is sooo bad.

Since this show is out of mini-series/movie contention. (6 eps from season 1)

This show is going to rack up a shit ton of Emmys this year. make-up, special effects, visual effects and other technical nods is already won unless broadway empire have a zombie outbreak.

possibly acting nods, score, and a writing nod for better angels (season finale, season premiere or lead in ep into finale only gets the nod) Wouldn't be surprise if it also get the best drama nod also.

I think we can add 'the majority of the human population' on there. I can't find evidence, but I'm willing to bet that Carl's responsible for the outbreak, somehow.
Lori: Shane, have you seen Carl?
Shane: (sighs heavily, rubs head, stares into distance, sighs heavily, shuffles boot, sighs heavily, sighs heavily, muttering) Naw. Why?
Lori: I can't find him and I told him to wait right outside the hospital room. (shouts shrilly, shattering glass) CARL? CARRRRL?
Shane: (sighs heavily, shakes head menacingly, sighs heavily) Carl?
CUT TO:
Carl busts open doors into the dark basement of the hospital. Breaking containers holding organs marked "URGENT", he laughs then looks guilty then laughs and then looks guilty. He turns to a large safe that says "DO NOT OPEN. PROJECT 'WALKING DEAD' VIRUS CONTAINED WITHIN. MAY INFECT ENTIRE HUMAN POPULATION WITH A VIRUS THAT WILL REANIMATE THEM AFTER DEATH, NO MATTER HOW THEY DIE. WHY ARE WE KEEPING THIS AT A RURAL HOSPITAL?" Carl cocks his head and reads inquisitively. Maintaining his confounded expression, he opens the safe (the keys are conveniently right next to the safe). A ghastly noise is heard; Pandora's escaped from her box. Enter Lori
Lori: Carl! I was so worried! I don't know how I lost you, that never happens!
Shane: (rubs head, sighs heavily, walks in, sighs heavily) Eh Carl. Git. Whyreu'n hur.
McCreary's title music swells. Carl and Lori inhale deeply.
Broadway Empire killed me more.
It killed me because it's a magnificently better title for Smash.

You forgot the part where comatose Rick gets the blame for Carl wandering off.

Fixed this part for what I thought it was gonna be as I read it.

Otis shot a deer. Carl was trying to molest a deer at the time. Carl's fault.

I told you fools. It was Dale's fault for not seeing a slow ass herd on top of the RV with binoculars, which caused Sophia to run into the woods, and the downward spiral.

Even Rick was happy to see the dear. He was asking for a sign. He would have gone closer, but he wanted to see his son enjoy it.

Rick misread the sign--the sign wasn't the deer, the sign was Carl getting shot. And that sign meant, "No, seriously, fuck this kid, more trouble than he's worth."

Rick is bad at understanding signs.

I think he read Carl getting shot loud and clear.

I want Carl to die, but he did want a sign of something untainted in nature or whatever.

But, I mean, fuck Carl, so bash away.

I like that Glen Mazzara guy on twitter.

“@IAMQUIGLEY: if you could have a team of three people to fight zombies with you who would they be?” Abed(#Community), #Terminator, Michonne

Am I the only one who thought Season 1 >>> Season 2 even with the second half. I had guessed Season 2's big reveal way back in the Season 1 finale. The plot didn't seem to cover much ground. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed the second half of Season 2 a lot, but the finale reminded me of just how much I miss the old writing talent. There was subtlety. Characters weren't as annoying. The big reveals were actually pretty good twists, and best of all the action was intense. How come Season 2's finale was not?

Just finished this season. Really liked it all until those last few scenes. Lori has never bothered me until Rick told her about Shane, her response made me wish immediate death on her. Fucking stupid.

Also, fuck you to yahoo for putting an article about ninja sword lady on their front page with a picture and everything. You assholes ever hear of DVR?

Does anyone think that if they all just hid in the house with the lights off they would have been fine? The zombies weren't going after anyone specifically; they were just shambling in a random direction that happened to lead them to the farm. They wouldn't just hang around if they didn't notice any food. Although Rick setting the barn on fire kind of ruined it for everyone.

T-Dog was all set to make Lori his road wife, and Beth his road daughter. What if he never turned the car around? They could've made a spin-off show, "The T-Dog Family". Holy shit that would be the worst show ever.

the guy that saved andrea...did anyone else get the feeling it was morgan?

edit: are we allowed to talk about the last episode openly? if so, my spoiler isn't a spoiler

A lot of characters that died in season 2 died because of Carl:

Dale
Otis
Dude from Farm
Herschel's wife

As much as I hate Carl, it's a stretch to say all these died because of him.

  • Dale died because he was Dale. Couldn't spot a herd on a motorway, couldn't spot a lone zombie in a field.
  • Otis died because he was fat and slow.
  • Dude from farm, I assume you mean the RV "who could be knocking at this late hour" guy, again it's a stretch to pin that one on Carl
  • Herschel's wife was in the barn

He's definitely in the mix of everything though. Typed words can't express how much I'd love to burn that stupid hat.

In the "WHO WAS THAAAAT?" gif...just who the fuck was that? I remember thinking that exact thing when the zombie comes out of nowhere from stage left.

IA with the Lori opinions.

Shane drew his gun out on Rick, and somehow it's Rick's fault that he defended himself????? WTF

And all the women in the group, (barring Andrea who's somewhere else) were so nerve-wreckingly, neurotic messes that they try to goad the group to fever-pitch point of LETS GROUPHATE ON RICK. WTF Carol. "Man of honor". My ass.

Daryl is best character. Hands down.

Lori and Carl are both stupid, and had caused so much shit, but they are untouchable because they are wifey and kid characters. DISLIKE.

Oh, and I think the person that saved Andrea is a girl. For some reasons. Body shape looks feminine to me.

I don't think he opened the door. They busted through the door as he was walking to the back of the RV where he'd climb up through the top. Obviously, that didn't happen.

How many times have zombies getting into the RV been a problem? Andrea on the highway, any others? A sturdy lock would have been nice.

It is explained why this does not work in the comic.

It was kind of funny that they show the whole scene and in the aftermath, it's like not a single zombie is touching the house.

"The T-Dog Family" would have been awesome. Every week they'd find a new way to marginalize the title character. Probably would work better as a sitcom, tho.
