Yes, issue 73 of Nintendo Gamer is already on sale. Issue 74 however with the Assassin's Creed III for Wii U feature will be released tomorrow. It is already in the shops!
Wow, did they say anything about your actions? xD
I wonder how many Nintendo Ninjas live in Austin. I loved near Retro for ten years and never spotted any in the area.
(but then again.. they're ninjas. Of course they would've evaded my detection..)
Bring them some cake
B3D dude supposedly in the know has this to say about Retro :
" Btw bgassasin, tell those maniacs in the in Gaf thread that Retro is definitely not working a next-gen DK. They are aggressively targeting the XBOX/PS3 demographic."
"I referenced Retro, bgassassin, because their project is for the "broader" demographic. It is not DK, LOZ, nor MP. It is extremely visually impressive, or so I am told. "

Retro bought Perfect Dark from Rare and are making a true sequel!

"Evacuate The Dance Floor" (Eshuijs/Reuter/Yann) by Cascada. We Sub-Publish this song on behalf of Talpa Music (BUMA).
Not really Pachter level bullshit:Sorry if already reported. Analyst bs...
Analyst: Wii U won't drive publisher shares
If publishers don't support a platform, that platform won't have any (positive) effect on the stock price - it's an obvious and logical conclusion. We note that while the WiiU will launch later this year, we do not view it as a likely driver of third party publisher shares given their historically low exposure to Nintendo platforms.

A stand to maintain the padlet and use its camera ?
Miyamoto:
And you can leave it in a state where you're able to check your weight right away. In that way, it'll be closer to what we envisioned Wii Fit to be. I can't really talk about it in detail, but we're working on new ways to do training exercises with Wii Fit, like using the camera, you can place it against something and play while the game looks at your status.
Iwata:
It certainly seems possible from an engineering standpoint that the camera will recognize you if you position the new controller to look at you. Moreover, it would be much more accessible if all you have to do is to hold it, press a button and stand on the Wii Balance Board.
Certainly that was implied in the Iwata Asks at last year's E3. regarding Wii Fit.

Some comments from Sakurai related to Pit, SB, 3DS and Wii U. Don't know what it says but its fresh. And in Japanese. If someone can translate... > http://www.gamememo.com/2012/03/22/3ds-wiiu-sumabura-pit/
Will the camera be good enough for facial recognition? I want to know this
Joke aside, this indeed looks like Retro is doing a new FPS IP, the first one for Nintendo since Goldeneye/Perfect Dark from Rare.
Ah come on...almost 3 months until E3 and it is already so hard.
So many hype trains, so much awesomeness to be yet so my disappoint in the making!
I think it's basically stating that Pit will make an appearance in the future Smash Bros on 3DS + Wii U.
Even the 3DS camera is good enough for facial recognition. Will the camera be good enough for facial recognition? I want to know this

doa 5 and killer freaks probably won't be that good. ac3 will be a rushed port. dragon quest x will be late 2013 at the earliest, and capcom something will be 2014 at the earliest. project cars won't be worth the money, and mickey will probably even disappoint fans of the first.
there, i just saved you a few hundred dollars.
Well they also did Geist on the Cube...
I've decided to stick with my iPad 2. Not quite sold on #3, and I'm trying to stick with this one until #5.. unless #4 has something absolutely incredible that I just have to have. My current one goes absolutely everywhere with me, and does a fine, fine job.:| thanks I guess I'll buy that new iPad after all
...and Lego City Stories, Aliens: Colonial Marines and Wii U sports.
This would be such a waste of talent. With Prime they've shown their skills as a developer for Action Adventures, not FPS. WiiU will get all the shooter games from 3rds now anyway. At least for quite some time.
I'm really hoping it isn't some generic FPS with Retro and Nintendo's name slapped on it. I dunno why, but I just don't really have high hopes for this, I guess we'll see in the future.
Reading the above analysis about the Wii u not driving publisher sales, I'm wondering: has Nintendo said anything about making the development process more affordable for this upcoming generation?
I know that they made some notable moves regarding free middleware, but I'm slightly worried about them losing their superior position over the competiton regarding affordable development. After seeing so many studio closures from 2006 onward due to high development costs and associated unsustainable business models, I think Nintendo should keep a laser-like focus on this angle.
I like those terms, as they are much more flexible than the terms I've used or seen used in recent years. This generation has forced us to think about the words we use when discussing or describing types of audiences and behaviours, and I still have some degree of awkwardness when navigating this territory.
In another forum, I once claimed that there is such a thing as a "hardcore Animal Crossing player." Folks had trouble wrapping their minds around that concept.
I've learned that more than a few around here are put-off by that term. Offends their delicate sensibilities. I'm still looking for a better term.

I meant specifically the ARM9 line of component processors was out of the "equation". Nintendo and ARM have indeed grown quite close as business partners, they will again be providing an applications processor core. A proprietary solution specifically for Nintendo. Marvell will not, as it is not SOC.
I doubt we're going to see another Zelda until at LEAST the E3 following this one.Nibel's predictions:
- Zelda Wii U will make everybody shut up and get into hype mode
That's it.
I'm okay with a new IP from Retro
I guess Zelda will continue to spin into mediocrity for a little while longer
From a gameswelt.de : Darksider Wii U seems to be confirmed for launch...
This worries me more than most things regarding next generation. I hope that Nintendo can convince developers and publishers that, yes, there is a better and smarter and non-suicidal way of running a business. I hope they can lead by example to show that not every game has to be a multi-million-dollar budget blockbuster that requires several million units sold just to break even. Nintendo has to hold-onto that high ground.I don't recall Nintendo saying much about it. I suppose its because Nintendo has to bite the bullet now. Iwata did say that Nintendo isn't going to bother trying to get "drawn into the expensive tech race" with Microsoft and Sony. As this would put developers in the position of having to risk massive resources and long development times. In regard to first-party software, not all games will need to feature rich HD graphics except for obvious franchises like Zelda.
I doubt we're going to see another Zelda until at LEAST the E3 following this one.
That was expected, though.Another important thing said was:
Are we talking 1 or 2?
"Davon darf ich echt keine Details preisgeben. Aber es sieht echt gut auf der Wii U aus. Unsere Entwickler arbeiten mit Feuereifer und es wird echt cool werden", so Rhandawa gegenüber GamesweltTV. Zum Entwicklungsstand führte er weiter aus: "[Wir sind] Ziemlich weit, wir kommen gut voran. Das Spiel wird zur Markteinführung der Konsole auf jeden Fall veröffentlicht werden."
He says 2.

Will 3D games (with glasses) be possible / likely on Wii U?
If you are going to connect Wii U with a home TV capable of displaying 3-D images, technologically, yes, it is going to be possible, but that's not the area we are focusing on.
