It's complete bullshit that Korra won't have a female member of this new gang to girl-bro out with.
Asami Sato?

actually their is a drawing of a girl who could join the team since she looks about their age and is alsoa really rich non-bender. That could make the team interesting with a non bender's view in this troubling times
What?
It is episode 2. Katara didn't have another female on the team until Toph showed up a few episodes later.
Give it time.

was just about to post that. The wiki says her design is based off Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist. So that is pretty sweet.

Which FMA? Which medium?was just about to post that. The wiki says her design is based off Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist. So that is pretty sweet.
So i'm not wrong getting the FMA vibe then? and any similarities would be intentional?

Looks nothing like her.

Just a quick study I did a few months back of Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
EDIT: Man, some of these notes are cracking me up. The way people run with ideas and speculation! Yes, many of us on the crew enjoy Fullmetal (especially Joaquim, who has praised its virtues for some time), but Mike and I were late to the party. We didn’t start watching it until well after we created Mako and Bolin. And I think I had already designed Asami before then as well, but as Lust is such a killer design, I’m fine with saying she was influenced by her, and flattered anyone would think so. And why would people think we don’t like anime? I am amused!
its like the last sentence was calling out to Uchip somewhat![]()
I don't get it
Ive seen more anime than most
Or better yet, Avatars that we haven't seen before.
It would be nice to see the first Avatar and what things might've been like for him or her. But we all know that Aang is going to be the primary past avatar, like Roku before him.
I would watch a series dedicated to Roku. That one episode wasn't enough.

can't help thinking that if there's romance in this series, Korra will be the man in the relationship. lol
I wouldn't be surprised if they end up doing a series after Korra they'll have it be about the first Avatar.
I'd dig that. I don't think them doing another time jump would be good. I would be very hesitant about an Avatar in a present day-esque world.
Nah
While you were trying to defend the series from the anime tropes by Ignis was throwing out separating it the creators themselves don't seem to mind too much and it was like a message saying "hey its cool Uchip stop being so angry"
I don't think this would bode well for Ignis's pairing
I acknowledged the inspiration before that
its still unrelated to what I was talking about

Huh. I didn't realize that the Earth Kingdom and the Water Tribes were still sovereign nations.
That Korra is "too good" for a relatively popular Japanese loanword?
There's nothing to hint that they wouldn't be, either in the previous show or here.
Wha? It's the first thing.
Why do you wound me, Billy?
I got a "global government" feel from Tenzin's opening monologue.
X-Men here we goooooo
Amon is gonna shoot shit out of the giant statue of Aang and then all the world leaders will become bend--oh wait. Shit.
I was under the impression that Mako and Bolin were the entirety of her crew. Good to hear otherwise.
What would make you think that?
How do you know that technology keeps progressing forward? That being said I would prefer a story about the first Avatar as well. What were people using energy bending for before the Avatar showed up and why did the Avatar cycle need to get started?
Why wouldn't technology march forward? Technological advancement has always led to more advancement, and generally at a faster rate.
Anyway, I'd LOVE a series about the first Avatar.
wasn't there promotional art to that effect
edit: looking up a few posts, I guess not

edit: @ above: Weren't nearly all of the fire nation names Chinese? Except Azula which is spanish if anything.
