I wonder, how can I remove an app without losing my save for it?

Example: I finished The Bard's Tale, I want to free some space by removing it without erasing my game. Do I need to do it via iTunes or directly on my iPhone? Since the save can also be in iCloud, is it kept in there?

Does it actually support Cloud saves? Easy to check, go to iCloud > Storage & Backup > Manage Storage, then if it's listed under Documents & Data there's an actual save file stored in the cloud, otherwise it doesn't support cloud saving and all you have is an iCloud backup of the game's save/settings which will be removed once you uninstall the game.

If a save is stored it should remain as long as you have the game installed on one of your devices IIRC.

Otherwise you could manually copy your save game with iExplorer like so (Infinity Blade used as example);

For most games, Infinity Blade is one of them, copy the contents of the game's Documents folder and paste it on the iPad at the corresponding spot. I've used iExplorer for the example but any program that can browse the file structure will do.

It's brilliant but for the (literally) minute-long load times on my 3GS. By the time it loads I can't be bothered to play it any more. It's really, really disappointing.

Yeah the loading times are "kinda" long on my new iPad, so.... I can definitely see them being long on a 3GS :(

The game, however, is really nice. Lots of stuff, challenges, and a freakin' level editor, which looks like their own level editor that they just ported and cleaned to the game.

I posted this in that Sega losing money thread but I figured some might find it interesting here. As a massive Football Manager fan, I finally gave in and picked up FM Handheld when it went on sale for $4.99 from $9.99. There are currently only 4,952 people on the GameCenter leaderboard.

Sell your games for less than $10, people.

Calling bullshit on this, I can only guess the GC leader board is a very specific mode of the game.

It is always riding high in the UK chart and one of the highest grossing.

I have no clue how the leader boards work for this title as I've only ever played the standard manager mode, but I'm #1,702 out of 4,955 on the Manager Points board and 2,504 out of 4,807 on the Addictedness leader board.

Edit: It looks like there must be a separate version of the game for the US and Japan. Even still, that number is diabolical.

Just a heads up for those who have downloaded our game already and fence sitters who haven't got it yet - we've updated sQuiz: Reel Trivia with the new iPad retina resolution. 2048x1536!

Get it here.

We also really like some more reviews on iTunes. We've got promo codes for those willing to help. PM me or reply here:)

Thanks. :)
I love trivia games, I'll happily throw up a review if I can snag a promo code.

It must be regional. I'm 12,148 out of 179,651 players on Manager Points.

The bane of having two iOS devices and you buy this in iTunes is running around your house pausing the download on the devices so you don't download 4 gigs. :P

Yikes, I was interested but at 2 gigs... not a chance. Hurry up and release the iPhone 5 Apple! Papa needs 64 GBs..

Apparently Imperium Galactica 2 was released for iPad a few minutes ago, or at least it's up in the Hungarian store (the original developers are from Hungary). 2.99 euro, which probably is 3.99 dollar.

http://itunes.apple.com/hu/app/imperium-galactica-2/id510652364?mt=8

Haven't tried it yet, but it's supposedly the full pc game from 2000 with three campaigns and all the 4X glory. It's not stated explicitly, but it seems it doesn't have multiplayer yet, only skirmish mode.

Bought Bard tale because I want to play the original ones.

Enter the game, my music dissapeared.

Go to Original Games section, all games are market as "coming soon"

One day I'll browse the store and I'll 1star ALL the games that stop my music when they start.

Prope Disoverer is an impressive looking free game, powered by UE3. I downloaded and played for 2 minutes so I don't know if it's any good, but it's free.

It's 1.34gb to download, 1.69gb once installed. I was counting iTunes, iPhone and iPad downloads in my 4gb approximation.

Yeah, well anything over a few hundred MB is too much for me in this case. I need to do that thing where I can keep my game save data and then delete Infinity Blade.. 1 gb is a lot of space when 18 GB are filled with music.

I can see that, I'm using my 64gb iPhone as my music depository and my iPad solely as photos/apps stuff.

Been playing a lot of Fortune Street on Wii recently. I know SE are working on a mobile version but (other than Monopoly), are there any asynchronous property games on iOS?

Give the OG section a few more seconds to refresh. The first two BT originals are available.

Just got an ipad for my birthday. What are some of the meatier games on the platform? I'm playing Ghost Trick right now (lost my ds copy) and enjoying it.

Heck, what are some of the notable bite-sized games people liked a lot? I got Realistic Summer Sports Simulator but really am not a fan. Got Draw Something, because how could I not.

Anyone know if ff tactics works well on the ipad3?

I guess you missed the whole discussion on The Bard's Tale, a port of an Xbox/PS2 title.

The just released Imperium Galactica 2!

Anyone know of any iTunes gift card deals out there? Or if some such deal will be coming up soon?

I believe Target.com is still having a 15% off sale on some of the iTunes gift cards. Not as good as the 20% BestBuy.com has from time to time but still some free $$.

I finally got Run Roo Run, and it's a blast, but some of the objects are such a pain to get over. I'm mostly thinking of those hedges that are one fat one on the left and a tiny one on the right, scrunched together. You have to time your jump flawlessly which is a bit off from the rest of the design. Otherwise the game is very enjoyable.

Hm. Am I missing something? Dash was banned so I can't send him a PM to get on the list.

Yup. Dash get banned from time to time. It has been temporary in the past. Not sure if anyone else can help you. Add me. My gamecenter is 8sanders. Then add my friends, they are almost all GAF .That should get you started.
