Yeah, this bums me, especially their ho-hum relationships with indy devs, restrictive policies and awful shop design. A part of me feels if Nintendo wants to go cheap to try and steer their way out of market crashes and ballooning budgets, they should really open up the doors to indy devs and allow them to enjoy the ride too. Seems like one of those obvious hand-in-hand relationships that should happen.
What are 'technology fans' doing in the console market? Small, cheap mini PC's shouldn't really interest them. They need to buy a highend PC.
Buying accessible systems that don't have the arguably higher entry level of a PC. It's not black and white. A lot of people hungry for graphics love new consoles because, even chalked up against PC, they deliver. PC always reigns supreme, but you can still milk console hardware for some glorious looking stuff.
The Wii does not cater to that market in the slightest.
