I vowed not to follow any of this at all because I'll just be disappointed when the big cover reveal is something like SUPER MONKEY BALL 9 HD for WiiU.

I cant help but just goose my expectations for things Valve related or Rockstar related. Halo 4 doesn't even get me excited because, I dunno, I don't get hooked on Halo stuff.
 
Somehow I think the cover will be a disappointment.

Whenever they hype it saying it's a massive game, your jaw will drop etc.
 
Those waiting for GTAV just need to wait for Max Payne to have released.
Those waiting for HL3, good luck with that.

I'll need a lot of pot if Halo 4 is not the GI cover just to manage the Hype deflation.

Ya unless it will have some stellar graphics and game play on PC it will just be once another game on 8 year old consoles.
 
I hope it's not HL3 just so Valve can steal the show at E3 with its reveal. All they need to do to have the greatest E3 presser ever is talk about DOTA2 and CS:GO for 30 minutes and then, as they are thanking everyone for coming, the lights go dark and this plays (HL2 EP2 midgame spoilers in vid):

that was MP. and slayer which is the most basic mode.

SP is also being developped by cinematic guys. No way they go CoD but I expect something new in additional to good old Halo sandbox.
 
SO if I understand this correctly we have 2 things here, the pics and the main thing but also the back cover which is usually a preview of something else or am I thinking of another magazine.

Andy's already popped the Half-Life 3 balloon. And it's worth remembering that Valve has never announced a game in a magazine.

I think that by back-cover he referring the to actual back side of the magazine. Normally GI as a fold cover like so:

And this one has something crazy on the back.

An apt analogy would be the enclosed magazines you see in news agencies -- you can look at the covers just fine, but if you'd like to see the content, you have to buy them*.
