The Deterioration of Market Analysts and Video Game Journalism
Well it's not false if it's true, and I'm willing to wager that a corporate financial analyst has a better view of things and more resources/sources than most on GAF.
However, I don't want it to be true. How much did the Wii CoD games sell? Maybe they don't think it's worth the effort to "downport" any longer.
No Activision support is bad news for Nintendo.
Don't be stupid. There's a yearly COD on Wii every year that sells a million in its own right. And Activision not supporting WiiU... I can see it for a couple reasons.
#1 how involved is EA in the Nintendo Network?
#2 CoD has to compete with Battlefield. To do so they have to squeeze every ounce of tech they can into the series. Dumbing it down just so it can be on WiiU isn't going to help. Saying, even if it's a bit of a lie, that the next CoD can't be run on WiiU makes their game look stronger.

Well, to be fair, most of the successful Nintendo products probably would have been absolute failures if produced and marketed by anyone else.Nintendo doomed as always.
Can't remember a recent Nintendo device that wasn't predicted to be a total failure.
DS, Wii, 3DS and now Wii U. All doomed I tell you!
No Activision support is bad news for Nintendo.
If Activision doesn't support it I'll be shocked.
They support everything.
So now there's criticism coming from Japan.
We knew Kojima said he wasn't going to support the WiiU with his next big project.
And Activision not supporting WiiU... I can see it for a couple reasons.

Too bad most of what he says seems bullshit, so I seriously doubt he has any insider knowledge.
They released CoD on Wii/DS and yet he honestly thinks they won't port the game to Wii U ? Didn't we even have a "game based on the new 007 movie will come to Wii U" thread a few days ago ? His information seems to be based on guessing and reading stupid rumors on video game news sites combined with "ALL HAIL APPLE".
And what is this 4 screen infrastructure he's referring to, is he really referring to families/households using 4 iPads ? Is he honestly expecting that to be the standard ?
On the second point..... wat? My brain hurts. So now there's criticism coming from Japan.

Where's that video of the butt pooping into a box when you need it?

You should say "there's a bridge I'd like you sell you, and it's not the wii U"your not honestly believing what this guy is saying are u? cuz if u do, i'm dating Katy Perry...
I somehow doubt that's going to happen this time.Watch how Wii U will put all these naysayers in their place like the Wii
I somehow doubt that's going to happen this time.
Lets be honest, Mario and Zelda on iOS would be fantastic for Nintendo. Make it F2P even and have extra levels cost cash. Keep the full version on the 3DS/Wii U. BOOM Rainbow full of gold.

Yes, Nintendo wants to kill their console market.
Yeah, I would listen to this guy. Giving stock advice based on vague rumours.

What?

There's a hell of a lot of ifs, there.OK so how about the first point?
Because it has been speculated a bunch since Ricitello came out on stage with Nintendo at the last e3 that EA may have a huge hand in helping Nintendo with the online.
If EA is handling Nintendos online there would be a huge reason for Activision not to support the WiiU.
My post wasn't really so much about what the Wii was lacking. It was about what publishers and third parties were doing to fuel the HD train. Those petz games and all that shovelware would have killed anyone brave enough to dump them on the 360 or PS3 so they took full advantage of it on the Wii. I wonder how well things would have turned out for Capcom if they never made RE4:Wii Edition or Umbrella Chronicles. Other companies in the industry also had similar successes that never led to anything serious for the system(you can bet that money went towards some nice HD projects though).Yep. All their B-Titles, spin-offs, and B-teams were put on the wii to work. And then two years later, nobody could understand why their games weren't selling.
The Core base never got cultivated or created, except for the Nintendo franchises. It really needed a Gears of War of the life to bring in all the gamers to its systems.
The fact that it didn't have an online infrastructure to support that kind of game didn't help at all either.
Wait... Has Konami supported Wii and DS in a relevant way? I'd say no.
...And watch the market drain away when people realise that they no longer need to buy a Nintendo console to get exclusive Nintendo experiences, even reduced ones.
Come on, we've been through all of this a thousand times over.
Wait... Has Konami supported Wii and DS in a relevant way? I'd say no.
The console/handheld gets the full version. You won't be killing it.
Nintendo doomed as always.

They gave you Castlevania Judgment, but you ungrateful tossers didn't want it.
They made some DS games didn't they? The Wii.. I guess they didn't do much there.
3DS was predicted to be a success by almost everyone before it came out and has underperformed nearly everyone's expectations aside from Japan.
I think there's still a great amount of risk - if a large portion of the audience get's their fill from the iOS version, the reasons for getting a dedicated portable dwindle pretty fast.
Off a cliff?I disagree. Nintendo needs to realize where the road is heading.
Off a cliff?
Can't answer the first point because we don't know enough. Right now we know NiN is going to have accounts for WiiU. Plus NiN is being used in some 3DS games so we know atm EA has nothing to do with that. So my first point is pointlessOK so how about the first point?

Nintendo can figure out a way to keep the full experience on their hardware.
