The reveal was the the cover, the jaw dropping was the screenshots inside the issue. People just got the two confused. Hype is fun.

The sexualization of Cortana is pretty embarrassing. I mean, she always kinda has been, but why? Why does an AI need a body at all, let alone sexual organs?

Worthless shot's. Cropped small, not even proper resolution. Get some direct captures at a proper resolution and try again.

Anyway, I've played and beaten both games. My opinion is: For overall image quality, R3 wins hands down. Crysis 2 360 version is blurry, jagged and just way harder on the eyes than R3.

Shots are from DF, direct feed and 720p. And I already said, its physically impossible for a game with better pixel density to look blurrier and jaggier as those shots prove.

I would be embarrassed to have that magazine lying around my office or my home. I would be embarrassed to play it if that's what Cortana is made up to look like. Not because it's a nude female form. But because it's childish nerdbait.

Resistance 3 is the blurriest game I've ever seen and honestly the first game to make me go "so this is what they mean when they call something sub-HD". And I played a lot of sub-HD games before that.

Halo 4 is shaping up to be a technical marvel. Just the fact that they'll be running at 720p with AA is incredible. This isn't a corridor shooter. If they can pull that off with classic Halo sandbox-style environments, vehicles, tons of enemies, mass carnage, etc..., then shit.

Those are 1280x720 shots. How are they not proper res?

I agree that R3 has the better IQ, though. Blurrier, yes, but less edge and shader aliasing and less pop-up.

I know a lot of nerds on game forums like to soapbox and talk about Games As Art and cry about boobs and dudebro and all that stuff, but how is Cortana embarrassing? Halo is a game about space marines fighting aliens. It's not pretending to be some high-art emotional masterpiece, it's supposed to be fun and exciting. Cortana being a sexy AI is part and parcel with Master Chief being a gravely voiced, massively framed galactic force unto himself. It's like complaining about the quality of the camera work in a gangbang porn.
 
I hope some people get it tomorrow and the info and scans get in the wild. I'm a subscriber but I always seem to get stuff well after it's been all over the web =|

That's a sexy fucking cover.
Not so much because of AI tits, but because it looks cool. Can't wait to see these screens too. I'm excited but not buying into the 'jaw dropping graphics' yet.

Also, the cover is art, not the game model. Although I did notice the darker hair in the E3 teaser.
