Had some good matches tonight, and built up a nice winning streak. I went 19/5/6 as Silencer in one match. He's not a fancy character, but I really like him. I also tried Nightstalker for the first time and did mediocre but we still won. I can see his appeal, but he's just not for me. The fun ended when my team was stomped in about 35 minutes. I checked their stats, and most of their team had between 0-10 wins, yet they played like they were experts. It was extremely bizarre considering their skill level and the items they were buying, maybe they were vets of the original game and just got Dota 2, or they are the greatest newbies of all time.

me neither bro idk where the hell this dEmOn and misery dude came from but they are ruining our good name we will scrim and dumpster them for u kirbster. i think d3m0n stole my name from when i invented the name IAMD3M0N wat a sad human being
 
Yeah, my horribleness does cause things to break every now and then. Just a few weeks ago, I managed to screw up as Prophet so badly steam went down.
 
What are Gunnars?

This game happened a few days ago, probably my longest Dota 2 game and definitely one of the most epic Dota games in general I ever played. We were down 2 rax by about 35 minutes and just kept turtling and winning team fights when they tried pushing in to get the third set of rax. I really should have spent my money on some big item at the end but I was really nervous about not having enough money for buyback, so I just kept saving up.

Can you clarify "play as a 5"? Do you mean "reach a performance level of 5 with a character"?

I ask because I have 5 characters at that level and every solo pub game I'm in is with and against n00bs + maybe one other moderately experienced player. Yesterday I had 3 straight losses with guys who (a) were brand new and fed, (b) weren't interested in winning, or (c) decided to try new characters.

I don't get it.

He means playing as a pre-made party of 5.

As improbable as this would be, I'd love to see a crazy Bloodstone Jakiro (provided he doesn't come into a game as a support, which might be its own special tier of implausibility).

That charge is so awesome though. I really don't like battlehunger. Its useful now, and can net a lot of kills, but it doesn't feel like it fits their character.

Any tips for good items on sylla in the event you can't make radiance by 20 minutes? I don't know how to handle losing games as sylla. I don't want to get a late radiance (30+ mins) because then it would be useless. I bought hyperstone last time but it still didn't work out too well. Seems like sylla needs some good momentum or else he falls apart.

Orb of Venom on bear, Treads on both hero and bear, and after that I would go with a hyperstone on the bear and build towards an ac even though you didn't feel like it worked.
Is there any specific reason you felt it didn't work?

I should have gotten the stone earlier. I lost my solo easy lane against lina/sven (they queued as double probably saw my sylla and went a burst combo) so I was stripped for gold. Was saving up in hopes of a radiance until like 23 mins then said fuck it and bought hyperstone.

It was a combination of the team losing all the lanes and my late hyperstone I think.
