NHL '12 Playoffs |OT| "The Cup is our destiny this year."

not hard to control a game when you're constantly up 5-4...

EDIT: Nice hit by Kes.

One bad call? Potentially legit but a waste to bring up; a good team should be able to make up for it.

A series of calls which suggest the referees are LA fans out to sabotage the chance for Vancouver to win the cup? Quite the conspiracy.

Its not like Vancouver magically ended up on the penalty kill as much as it has.

If we stop taking stupid penalties we can still win this. C'mon nucks.

I'm not saying the calls are undeserved, I'm saying they're unnecessary. No need for the Canucks to take them, it's their own fault. --> Hence LA dominating, because they're constantly up 5-4. Canucks' fault more than it is a quality sign of LA.

If a Keith flying elbow isnt a 5 min major, I don't see how Bitz hit was, but that's just me.

I'm speechless at this type of delusion, completely different games. Absolutely could have been and probably should have been a fiver but you didn't get it. Get over it. You do something stupid like Bitz did it can bite you in the ass and it did.

The Canucks need to stay out of the fucking box. It's no surprise LA has the momentum when they've spent so much time on the power play. Just bone-headed play by the Canucks. Feels like they're expecting their talent to win them the game. They need to strap on the work boots and start skating and making it happen instead of waiting for it to happen.

Guess I was expecting too much for this team to step it up during the playoffs.

So I just came back from soccer, do anyone have a GAF on the hit that set Weber of? That was some crazy rage mode, something should happen.
Go Preds!

And the refs really messed up on that goalie interference that wasn't called

Can't hate on Mitchell, though. His knocking the living shit out of Toews during his Canuck tenure is a gift that will stand the test of time.

Alright boys, get to work

It is kinda funny that the refs are getting all these complaints when one sure blown call was the one that resulted in Vancouver's only goal.

EDIT: Wait, there was a hit before that?

FINALLY. BACK TO 5ON5 AND WE'RE SCORING BACK, GOOD GOD.

EDIT: Raymond didn't touch it, THANKFULLY.

Where we disagree then is on just how much a player is responsible for his own penalty then. I'd say a fair amount of the penalties Vancouver has taken has been caused out of frustration that started because of how strong LA came out of the gate. We can always claim a player should know better, but I attribute more to the environment on the ice as well.

Goal. Well that was easy. WTF Quick?

You sound as stupid as the fans calling Bullshit after a blatant elbow to the head.

Thx for the free 2 pts, Briquettes Fan...wait, that's just a regular season occurrence.

We'll see you in the playoffs...wait, that isn't going to happen anytime soon in Calgary

Um...thank you for your contribution?

Oh wow, what a deflection by Brown lol.

I'm so happy to see that IF we stay with 5on5 hockey, we definitely got this. So here's to staying out of the box in the 3rd and winning it.

Man, I remember when the Wings used to play like Vancouver has tonight. I was always confident even when we were down 3.

Pull out the rocking chair and the pipe while you're at it.

The rest of the Red Wings can rock away on the porch with you.

EDIT: Wait, there was a hit before that?

zetterberg coming in on weber, hit him in the head and went knee on knee, none of the gifs go back far enough though.

also bertuzzi throwing blows at gaustad as time ran down. but who needs gifs of that?

Worst possible way to end the period for the Kings. If they win this game it's like coming back from a 3 goal deficit, that's just gutting.

So do I point out that the Kings almost completely dictated play, or do I point out that the game is tied despite the Kings getting eight 5 on 3's and an unprecedented 25 minute match major league expulsion to interrupt their consistent 2 minute powerplays?

Two very different ways to look at this game from a Canucks fan POV.

Calgary every single year:

>before season: make no significant moves
>trade deadline and most likely sitting in 9th place: "we feel confident with the pieces we have in place right now"
>finish season in 10th or 11th and do nothing about it while kipper and iggy continue to age

What'd you guys think about Bitz's hit on Clifford?

Right now I'm a sad panda in Waterloo, trying to find pubs that have the damn game on. I guess no one here watches the West...

Someone better make sure Henrik "I LIKE PUTTING MY STICK AROUND PEOPLE" Sedin gets the message.

I like you.

Also, PJ so sad about the Canucks scoring, what is this. such a -sigh-.

Refs love tossing Canuck players out of games on some bullshit, at least it was Bitz and not Rome...who is also throwing his weight around quite nicely, I might add

Rub it in... :(

An easy 5 minute call on a scrub. It wasn't predatory so much as reckless, and yeah it sucks to be the depth guy and know you have 45 seconds to make a positive impression but if the hits not there you have to ease up. Instead it was a textbook major penalty.
