You gonna shit every page with this post now?

No it doesn't "get old" if the post is backed up with facts or analysis like they usually are. "Dies to removal, counter" is not good enough, but acknowledging the popular decks and removals/counters they always play is part of judging a cards worth in the meta it exists.

The only dicks are those that are unable to engage in discussion/analysis and just kick the drama queen mode on.

Go whine elsewhere.

They get that lighthouse art from Myst? lol

Awesome card though.

I'm kinda having a change of heart on Tibalt and will reserve judgement. It will be hard to remove if it resolves early and will demand an answer before getting out of control. I think it could be ok but we'll see.

Two flashback drops.
One blast.
Recast.

Recast...

Actually, pairing him with Tamiyo might be kind of interesting.

All Miracle is going to do is create a bunch of bad beat stories. The mechanic insists that the cards be significantly undercosted for the miracle cost and slightly overcosted for the regular cost. Pretty sure that any Miracle card which becomes truly playable outside of Standard will get banhammered pretty hard.

Forget the 2CC PW, Zealous Conscripts is cool as hell.

Always loved Word of Seizing, trading Split Second for a 3/3 body is an interesting change, but I love it regardless.

Crap! I need to see the rule for that!

Not that I don't believe you. I need to show it to someone else. ^_^

As you draw an instant or sorcery with miracle, if it's the first card you've drawn this turn, you can immediately reveal it. When you do so, you may cast it for its miracle cost. It doesn't matter whether it's an instant or sorcery; if you choose to cast it, you do so right away, even if it's at a time (such as your draw step) when you couldn't normally cast it.

Countered by arguments, dies to reasoning.

One week ban at most (:b)

Nah, you can stick around. Just try not to take broad jokes told by everybody personally. We've gone pretty far ITT without name calling and drama. Shit is so unnecessary in a Magic thread where grow ups are talking about faeries and elves and shit.

But serious, Tbone the Useless is a terrible Planeswalker. He gets beat up by the other PWs for his lunch spark

Zealous Conscripts is a great draft card.

I'm with the tibalt sucks crowd. The only time I could see him being useful is in a flashback deck. But a planeswalker who is only useful in a single specific kind of deck is about as useful as a dead cat.

The problem with that angel and Cathar's Crusade, from the perspective of WU Humans.

By turn 5 you'll have dumped most of your hand. Travelers, Champions, Townsfolks, Geists of Saint Tafts, Mirran Crusaders, etc. It comes at a time where what you need most is to refuel your hand somehow, not to cast innately cheap creatures for even cheaper.

It might work in an Angel tribal deck but you won't reap any benefits from it until turn 6, which is absurdly slow.

Herald is a little too slow and weak for my likings. Most of the good humans are already cheap to cast and unless you find a way to pump several counters on her next turn, it's going to take a few turns make casting other angels cheap.

*beaten by Haly...damn you!

Basically anything 5cc or over needs to win you the game singlehandedly.

:D

Exactly how I feel. At five mana her usefulness is limited. Though she may help get Avacyn out faster haha

I think people who are serious about getting Avacyn out would just Unburial Rites her.

Which is, coincidentally, 5cc!

Wonder if we'll see any 1-2cmc angels. I'd really like to do an angel deck. I know they've said that angels are supposed to be white's dragons, but I'm hopeful. If it's not in this set, it'll never change.

The speed doesn't matter if you are playing them for the miracle cost. You just get to cast it right away. I still wanna know when that resolves if you are using Brainstorm during your opponents turn.

Gatherer said:
This is all one effect. You draw 3 and return 2 cards all in one resolution. Nothing may happen between the two. If something triggers on drawing cards, it will go on the stack after Brainstorm finishes resolving.

I'm assuming you'd have to reveal the Miracle card immediately after drawing it then once you put the two cards back on the library, you'd be able to cast it.

Yeah, I'd never realistically consider casting her for her actual cost. 8 is just too much.

Unless they are introducing a new meta mechanic that hasn't been revealed yet? What I wonder is why do there seem to be a high number of cards that return your creature to hand.

Maybe we'll see a wrath effect that kills all non-humans and non-angels. HA!

If we see some 1 or 2 cmc angels, you betcha that green card that lets you bring out same creature type at beginning of upkeep will be broken! I will play W/G angels.

So as long as you trigger Miracle, it doesn't have to be the first card you cast that turn correct?

You have to cast it as soon as you draw/reveal it.

Or at least that's how I am interpreting that.
