They're obviously working on the game and planning to release it as of right now.

However, I do think that the Vita will cease to exist on store shelves by the time the game will be finished, so we'll never see it (Unless Sony can perform some crisis-time Nintendo shit within the year).

EDIT: I'm working with the assumption that the game won't be finished/released until early 2014 at the earliest.

What about the images, can we see some physical images? I'm getting the "No Plug-in available to display this content"

I assume that's a screen in an airplane seat and that the guy is holding a controller and not something else. You need a TIFF viewer to see the images, I use Apple Safari.

I refuse to download Safari.
But thanks for the image.

I don't think this will effect Sony in any way.
It seems to be more about handhelds on non-handhelds.
Yeah, I don't quite get what everyone means by hows its bad news for Sony..but I don't keep up with Sony in any way, shape or form, so what do I know.

It seems to patent all forms of handheld console emulation, but PSP emulation is already pretty well-entrenched on the PS Vita...if Nintendo went after Sony now, they'd just be seen as bullies. (Which is more Yamauchi-Nintendo than Iwata-Nintendo.)

It does give them legal grounds to go after Android and (jailbroken) iPhone apps, though.

It just simply wouldn't be worth it to go after Sony for any reason right now.
It's not like PSP emulation on the Vita is exactly helping the system.

Its not like they have anything worthy to emulate. lol

Anyway... was there ever a time where videogame companies started mass suing eachother, like phone companies?

As for patents related to Wii U, here's the most recent I believe: http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph...s1=Nintendo.AS.&OS=AN/Nintendo&RS=AN/Nintendo

One little snippet I find interesting:

[0295] The game system 1 can also operate in cooperation with TV broadcasting when a TV broadcast is being watched on the television 2. That is, when a TV program is being watched on the television 2, the game system 1 can output on the terminal device 7 information regarding the TV program, etc. An operation example where the game system 1 operates in cooperation with TV broadcasting will now be described.

[0296] In the operation example described above, the game device 3 can communicate with a server via a network (in other words, the external device 201 shown in FIG. 21 is the server). The server stores, for each channel of TV broadcasting, various information relating to TV broadcasting (TV information). The TV information may be program-related information such as subtitles and cast information, EPG (Electronic Program Guide) information, or information to be broadcast as a data broadcast. The TV information may be image, sound, text, or information of a combination thereof. The number of servers does not need to be one, a server may be provided for each channel or each program of TV broadcasting, and the game device 3 may be able to communicate with the servers.

Of course this doesn't have to come to fruition, but if it does it would be kinda nice.

Maybe not sony but ios? Sooner or later the oldier games will have to be emulated.

apple conference 2014,""ladies and gentlemen this is the new IOS7, it wont run IOS1 and 2 apps"

Reading this article on IGN about what could be in an F-Zero Wii U got me thinking about the play coins.

While the article mentions that maybe winning races might earn you Play Coins to unlock content because you can't carry your tablet controller around with you like the 3DS, I immediately wondered if maybe Nintendo would look at allowing Play Coins on the 3DS to sync to the Wii U. You get home and your coins are automatically transferred (Option of course) or you fire up the Play Coin area of the Wii U and can transfer them from the 3DS.

This would give even more reason to carry your 3DS with you.
