Yes, there should be some product information so that Iwata say "As we revealed one week ago at Nintendo Direct…". It feels less panicky when you don't come up with the answers on an all-of-a-sudden basis.

I'd love it to be September. Maaaaybe August. Either one of those would certainly take the competition by surprise. It would also put a bit more pressure on the other two to release their consoles sooner, and Nintendo could get a bit more of a lead..

Okay, time to dehype myself.

Predictions:

* Nintendo spinning off console division to reduce flagging profits.
* Iwata giving control of NCL to Reggie due to NoA's stronger overall sales of the Wii this generation.
* The Mario series being given a five year rest to reduce franchise fatigue.
* Iwata Asks will be replaced by "Happy Mii Cartoon Hour" on nintendo.com
* Future revision of the 3DS removes left circle pad. Solution to retain compatibility is a "Circle Pad Dual Pro" which adds both left and right circle pads when needed
* Game localization to America will be strictly limited to brain teaser style games and the Nintendogs series, though the latter will be given an online first person shooter mode
* Still no Mother 4.

I'd enjoy a channel where we could watch live demonstrations of Nintendo games being played by Nintendo developers. We could ask questions as the demo went on, and the developer could take requests/suggestions on how to play through the demo. It'd be called "Wii Demo for U."
