Couple of questions about Galaxy On Fire 2...

1. How do I loot the cargo containers that drop from destroyed ships?
2. Is there any way to control the speed of the ship or stop it?

Anyone pick up Wrestle Fest for $1? I heard it doesn't play well but I think it's worth $0.99. I use to love this back in the day and me and my cousins played it all the time.

1. You need a tractor beam.

2. Hmm, I don't think so, but then again I'm not 100% positive.

Is there anywhere that has a "best of" genre list? Like what is the best dungeon game, what is the best space sim, what is the best etc.

When you are flying, swipe up or down, I think anywhere on the screen (but I swipe on the right side) to adjust your speed. I don't think you can come to a complete stop but you can slow down quite a bit.

Saw a couple of GoF2 ?s:
Control ship speed (0%-100% speed) by swiping up/down. Protip: Swipe left/right for a nifty evasion move that is a life-saver once you max out your level and are facing swarms of kitted out enemies.

Minimizing real-time tedium: If you are not in combat and are locked on to an appropriate target (space station, jump gate, waypoint) a fast forward button appears on the HUD which doubles or triples the passage of time. Combine with a high level speed booster for super-fast transit. (FF button also speeds up booster recharge rate accordingly!)

Looting: get a tractor beam. High level enemy pilots can drop pseudo-über loot that sells for a ton of cash. Even random, incidental encounters can net you tens or hundreds of thousands of credits worth of loot between runs.

GoF2HD: It's EXACTLY the same game as vanilla GoF2, to the point where they even share the same set of achievements. I got 75% of them them with my iPh4 while playing the vanilla game, and quite recently got the rest on my 4S after I started a new file in the HD version. Essentially, only the graphics and bugs have changed. GoF2HD does not come with free DLC. However, if you purchased the Valkyrie expansion in vanilla GoF2, and have since upgraded to the HD version of the game, then you will be able to download the Valkyrie HD expansion for free. The Kaamo Club unlock key does not transfer, however.

It's not exactly what you're after, but have you played Chronosgear?

Thank you, I have that game but it's a completely different league compared to Capy Clash of Heroes on XBOX360 in...everything.
They share gameplay elements (to the point of cloning) tough.
I still hope Ubisoft will think seriously to port it on iOS...I think it's a given Capy would love to do that.
It could rock and sell very well on iOS IMHO.

Wait... I have GoF2 on the iPad, which supports iPad retina... Does GoF2HD actually look better? Is it any different at all? Regular GoF2 is a universal app, so I'm confused... Is the HD version actually different?

GoF2HD has higher quality assets and effects than vanilla GoF2. Both are universal, but the HD version of the game was built for the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. Not sure if it got a retina iPad update yet, but if not, I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

I guess I'll find out the differences for myself. I went ahead and bought the hd version. Hope it's good enough to play through.

GoF2HD has retina, but the frame rate took a bit of a hit, so in the last update they added the ability to play with retina graphics, or regular graphics.

I didn't realize there was such a graphical disparity between the regular GoF edition and its HD counterpart hehe (iPad 3 screens).

WTF... it's like a different game.

I think that's one of the reasons they saw fit to release it as a new game instead of simply an app update. A lot of work went into it, you get a similar graphical enhancement throughout plus a new lighting engine that isn't really apparent in the screenshot.

I'm grinding for all the Infinity Blade 1 achievements. I've gotten all but the multiplayer ones-and they don't see to be triggering. Has anyone else had this issue?

This is why I make people jump through hoops for codes. Expect a very involved and convoluted contest that no one will complete next time. I expect you all to do the same.

Also, panama chief might be my new favorite poster. So good.

Yup, a good one. Thanks guys for the codes (I didn't take any bejeweled ones, FYI)

As long as there are codes to give, a too large photo will accompany.

Contest for who can make people jump through the craziest hoops next round?
