The Giant Bomb Quick Look Thread 2

Seems their new PC monitor is 16:10, as this Warhammer game as well as the Botanicula one were recorded in that AR.

Is it just me or has the video quality been pretty shit for the last week or so? Audio is all over the place, as well. Some videos are super loud, others are really quiet.

Just saying how it is...
I thought all of them have been pretty fun RPG's. Fable 3 was pretty decent too until the ending 'how much gold do you have to save the world' deal.

The games certainly don't have super hardcore combat nor do they have multiple dialog choices ala Mass Effect/Witcher but they provided a pretty cohesive and entertaining world to explore.

I really don't understand the reaction to that game. Not that it doesn't look terrible, but it doesn't look any different to me than Lego games, and those get much better reception. What makes this one so bad when the other got a pass? Is it just because Fable doesn't have the same cachet of Star Wars or Harry Potter?

I also thought of the Lego games while watching this, but I find those quite charming, while Fable Heroes just made me want to punch myself.

I can't really explain it to be honest, but I don't want to spend any more time analyzing this game than I have to.

Seeing this made me realize that an HD remake of Herc's Adventure would be incredible if done right.

People other than me know that game exists? Wow.

Fable games continue to be quite bad because really terrible combat design. Now they are making a game which is basically entirely combat, I have to wonder if even the fans of the series will still like it.

EDIT: I don't give lego games a pass, btw.

Hybrid seems like it wouldn't be fun to me.

It takes all the things I hate about current chest high wall simulators, gives me a jetpack, and doesn't allow me to use it.

Multiple instances in that video was just both guys hiding behind a wall waiting for the other guy to pop their head out so they could pop their head out and shoot first.

That doesn't really seem to be innovative, just restrictive for the sake of difference. Like they said, the maps don't take advantage of what limiting movement does.

Look at Shattered Horizon for a glimpse at an awesome take on multiplayer shooters. Sadly not many people did. I wonder how it would have done on console.

edit: Oh and 3v3 is too small.
