I asked this in the Marvel thread but didn't get a response, was wondering if anyone knows. I guess the bolded is what I most want to know.
Anyone know a good way to avoid small movie screens? I assume for rush traffic they send you to the larger halls but I'm hoping to catch it earlier in the day and early friday should not have too much of a rush. If the screening is listed as digital (DLP) does that mean it has to be a normal sized screen?

Most theaters are digital nowadays anyway? My local theater is all digital, even the smaller screens. It's sort of luck of the draw at this point, but I suppose you could try looking for a 7:00 or 8:00 showing and subtract about 3 hours and so on and you can assume there's a good chance it'll be a pretty decent sized screen, because they would theoretically dedicate those primetime hours to the big theaters and they time it appropriately.

I think you mean the guy that was actively defending John Carter's marketing campaign as something really inspired, loved the hell out of The Hunger Games, then said that outside of the camera-work, Children of Men isn't very good.
He recently ranted about my giving Avengers a shitty review as well, when I did the exact opposite.

Guys, what the hell! The Dark Knight Rises trailer wasn't shown at my midnight viewing of Avengers! I was not in a good mood when the movie started, I had been looking for the trailer almost as much as the film itself AND THEY DEPRIVED ME OF SEEING IT! Grrr

That's what is awesome with the trailer. Most shots are from one sequence, like Gordon and the police underground while the structure above them collapses. Fingers crossed we haven't seen much of anything from the movie.
