I'm pretty sure Bane's motivation is what Catwoman said about living so large and leaving so little for the rest of Gotham.
Wayne is undoubtedly the richest person in Gotham and has a public persona of been an uncaring jackass. He is the symbol of the 1% and therefore Bane's target. In the trailer what looks like the Gotham Stock Exchange can be seen going into meltdown, presumably as part of Bane's attack.
Although we also know that some League of Shadows stuff will be thrown in somewhere.

I know guys, sorry but I need to mention this. Uber huge mega spoiler even for Tookay.
That particular scene is Bane's doppelganger. Bane comes from behind to attack Batman. Also the cops win the preliminary battle in that scene, only that Bane's prisoners will be given automatic rifles at this point which they use to kill all of them. There's a lot of photos of Talia walking around that place with dead cops everywhere. It's going to be a massacre. Link to Spoilers.

Speaking of spoilers, I decided to revisit the viral marketing in lights of what we know about the movie from the latest trailer. Found some real interesting stuff, I must say.

I don't think I'll ever make sense of that map.
I think that the stadium, tunnels collapsing, prison break, and bridge blowing could all be happening in the same day, but I'm not sure.

Seems pretty clear to be that choosing an 8 year time jump was done partially in part to skirt around the Joker issue. No need to bring it up.

Then after gathering all the prisoners, helping people from crumbling city and what not, Bane should be waiting for him in the bat cave for the Bane beat down. Hell yea.

Kinda feels like a breaking point after sculli got spoiled.
but then no beatdown happens. for no logical reason whatsoever, bane and batman fall in love. They then travel down to a remote tropical island where batman proposes to Bane.
They get married, and over the course of their marriage batman gives birth to nine children {via the magic of super science}.
Their children turn out to be the flash, wonder woman, superman, the martian manhandler, hawkgirl, zatanna, captain marvel, the green lantern, and spider man.
they then form....the justice league......cue credits.

Nah, most of spoiled text are only rumors and hearsay. Who knows whats real and whats not. I find myself reading them because the movie never turns out to be like I've heard and fishing up tight elements from rumors kind of feels rewarding when you actually get to see that information in a scene. But flat-out confirmed details? Yeah I don't want to know either, but so far there's nothing concrete.
Still it would be appreciated if some of the details long rumored and probably true are tagged with spoiler tags. Even some of the speculation seems to be stemming from spoilers.
I would hate it if any of the plot outside of what I can piece together from the trailers is spoiled for me.
Just be careful. I love this thread/Bat-Gaf and would hate to have to avoid it simply because people can't tag the spoilers.
They could still bring it up in passing. Something like "Eight years since that monster terrorized the city". I think the 8 year jump is more to show how Bruce is now. How depressed, beaten, and disconnected. Also I bet in Nolan's mind it would look a bit silly if each year since he became Batman super-villains should up to destroy the city. Eight years of peace before another threat seems more logical.

as for joker. I think Nolan talked about it once, saying he may have a cameo in form of deleted scene from the ending in a jail, but they aren't going to do it as it would cause a massive shitstorm a la Whitney fiasco.

That was just a rumor. Nolan's always said that he respected Ledger too much to do something like that. Besides, I don't think there are any major deleted scenes in TDK (besides the one of Batman running across police car roofs) to stitch a scene together with anyway. Nolan does all his editing in the script-writing stage of the movie.
Sorry, the rumors ran pretty loose on the last thread, so I thought things were fair game. There is only one major spoiler being thrown around here... the rest of it is just speculation based on it. I'll knock it off.

Nolan should go lights out with no early reviews.
If it's anything like TDK's early screenings, it'd be late June. I'm not sure Nolan will tempt fate like that this time though.

I've had a bunch of near misses and it seems to be getting ambiguous here what is a spoiler and what isn't. I think movieGAF tends to spoiler stuff well, but random poster probably less likely.

Storyline and characters aside, I'm really looking forward to the soundtrack. I liked the melancholy feel of the third trailer and the music at 1:08 onwards.
Yeah. Zimmer did such an amazing job with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. This OST is definitely my most anticipated soundtrack of the year.

Just my ears and years of listening to both these guys' careers. There aren't any liner notes to officially break down who did what.
But that's 100% JNH, the whole song. Just as Molossus is 100% Zimmer.
There are a few cues over both scores that one could argue they both worked on, but by and large most of the songs come from one or the other, not both.
