I saw the movie for the second time today (first time wasa week ago). I've never been to the theatre to see the same movie twice before. That says a lot about what I think of the movie.

That being said, the French translation is shit. And that goes for both the dub and the subtitles.

Saw it last night in 3D, thought it was incredible and the most fun Ive had at the movies since I dunno when. Absolutely blew away my fairly low expectations.

Just came back from this, amazing!!!

Hulk was epic !

One thing tho I can't believe the snuck the work Quim into the film, that's still used as a swear up here.

Saw it in 3d at midnight, which I absolutely regret. 3D transfers suck.

But the movie was so damn good I've got my second ticket ready to roll in an hour from now. 2D here I come!

Just remembered another one of my favorite parts-
during the Hulk/Thor fight-when Thor sticks his hand out for Mjinor and there's like a 8 second wait for it.

Fantastic movie. Joss didn't Whedon all over it either. Every character had their own voice.

Loki should be the villain in every movie. Watching Hulk smash made me giggle like a schoolgirl with glee. So happy this came out great!

Thought it was awesome, best Marvel movie so far for me. I'll share more impressions later but the one complaint I had was about all the fanboys and girls who were watching. The endless laughter, hootering, and hollering at every line is so fucking annoying. The saddest thing is some of these people were probably in for their second viewing and still acting like they are surprised by every twist or one liner. Most people were fine, just one row in my movie theater in particular, I went with a friend and she actually had to tell people to be quiet. They heeded her warning for about ten minutes and then went back to going crazy at every move.

how is

captain america reffered to as the FIRST super hero? surely Wolverine would be the worlds first super hero seeing as he first realises his powers as a kid in 1845, like in wolverine origins, or is it becase he doesn't technically become a super hero until 1979 when he meets stryker?

Other superheroes weren't seen as superheroes yet, and weren't American :p

Buzzkill.

i'm sure it's been mentioned, but i wish they didn't show some scenes in trailers which would've made them more impactful in the movie. one in particular would've been climactic and applause worthy imo.

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about, and honestly, I was waiting for it to happen too in the actual movie. Totally agree with you.

I think I'm gonna slow it down on watching trailers to movies I've already made up my mind to see.

To those that haven't seen the movie yet, it's nothing that ruins this kick-ass movie, so don't even worry about it.

So did anyone besides me feel that the entire scene with
everyone arguing in the Helicarrier was all set up by Loki using his mischief magic? Sure, he kinda got the ball rolling by playing on everyone's fears with what he said to them, but it seemed like there was something else going on. As if the heroes weren't themselves. Especially considering how Banner picked up the spear without realizing it. I figured Loki was using the spear as a gateway to see what was happening in that room and manipulating them through it.

So let me ask you guys this. In 2014, Along with Cap 2, Marvel supposedly will release another film.

Most likely candidates:

Ant-Man
Dr. Strange
and Guardians of The Galaxy

Which one would you guys prefer to see?

BLACK PANTHER

Truly this is what every superhero movie should aspire to be.

For team hero flicks...I agree.

For solo stuff...The Dark Knight is still top dog (Spiderman 2 and Iron Man 1 getting honorable mention)

This is my second favorite super hero flick. I hope a Daredevil reboot or a Black Panther flick would be just as good.

Just got in from seeing it a 2nd time. Let just say that I have NEVER been to a theater to see a movie more than once, even the ones I liked. I think that says alot about this movie, seeing it a third time next weekend. Also it was better the 2nd time.

as shown in the credit scene in thor, loki is able to "influence" some humans or even control them.

Yep, I think that's what the extended shot of the spear was supposed to hint at

I want to see a Ruffalo-starring Incredible Hulk 2.

Because then they can introduce She-Hulk, and I can get the spinoff I've wanted for years.

Saw it last night and had a really good time with it. I wasn't really on board for the first 20-30 minutes, thinking the dialogue was super cheesy at times. However, once things got rolling, especially in the final 30 minutes, I was hooked. Hulk was the best part!

Loved the comedic timing of some of the dialogue.

"He's my brother."
"He killed 80 people in 2 days!"
"He's adopted."

Perfect.

In terms of value-for-money, this one gets a 10/10, but in terms of overall storytelling, I'd probably give it around an 8.
Loki's motivations weren't really clear, outside of "I want to be king!" Maybe that was part of the point of what Thor was trying to tell him, but yeah. And like I mentioned, I thought Fury's dialogue in the beginning was more than a little cheesy/forced.

Anyway, very fun movie, and totally needs to be experienced on the big screen.

Oh, and I thought the 3D was totally unnecessary until the final 30 minutes. Once those minutes hit, I felt like I was on an awesome amusement park ride that kept on delivering new thrills. Before that, it added almost nothing to the experience.

Are you guys talking about
when Hulk catches Iron Man as he's falling from space
? That was the one shot I was waiting for, so it was kind of spoiled. I agree.

Buzzkill.

I don't want to be. I'm fine with "ha ha ha" at the one liners or cheer at the big moments but it's annoying when every other second at the smallest joke it is
a "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH" louder than the explosions in the actual film. These idiots are runing it for the 80 percent who just want to watch it like normal human beings.

I always saw Loki in this movie as more of a Joker-type villain.
Mischief for the sake of mischief, motivation be damned. I never thought he ever reallllly wanted to be king. He just wanted to fuck shit up.
My interpretation could be wrong though, I feel like I'm reading that characteristic into him.

Definitely the best Marvel movie. Everybody kicks ass, especially Hulk. Ruffalo is awesome as Bruce. Cap is also awesome, I just respect him for some reason. Thoroughly entertaining, though all the one liners kind of got annoying.

My only complaint really is that the enemy was not intimidating at all, both Loki and the army. They are defeated pretty easily and despite those few blocks of NYC getting destroyed, there's no sense of danger.

But the jokes were funny! Fucking guy playing

Yeah, there were a bunch of stuff that was weird for me motivation wise.

I'm still not very sure why he let himself get captured. As an insider he did not do much and I don't really buy the fact he was setting them up against each other by merely sitting there. Also, he seemed to know they would get back together later on and did not really seem to care about it when they did, making it look like they weren't a threat in the first place.

He could have been somewhat more afraid at times anyway.

That was the whole idea for sure, with two things backing it up -
the camera panning to the spear, and Banner picking it up without realizing it, and Black Widow's conclusion to the interrogation with Loki, with her concluding it was his idea for Hulk to run wild and destroy the airship from the inside, which he almost did.

You'll notice that before and after that, Banner had Hulk-Mode on lock at will with his "secret".

Yezzir.

Exact way I was waiting for it to show up too, that whole time just like you and him.

It's the same reason almost everyone was questioning so many times throughout the movie why Loki got himself captured so easy, being a god, and basically walked into their fortress - and it was as Black Widow concluded - he wanted to mind-control them, mainly The Hulk, to destroy S.H.I.E.L.D. from the inside, which was the easiest way to eliminate the one group standing in his way.

why do you hate fun

now if they could pull off a Civil War movie one day when the rights for all charachters return or at least some of them, that would truly be epic cinema, if not i'll settle for a animated movie....for now!

if you haven't read that graphic novel i suggest you buy it , you won't be dissapointed
Iron Man leading one side Vs Captain America on the other

They were funny, especially that one, and I laughed also but it gets annoying when it feels like one section of the room is functioning like an automated laugh track on maximum volume. Those people were so loud during the small moments that when the film got to a really good joke or action scene, it kind of ruined the fun of reacting to it. I'm not talking about the normal reactions that an entire room has during a film, I'm talking about a specific section of the room (probably fanboys) who can't control themselves.

Yeah, the civil war story line would not work with that few heroes. Also, I always felt spiderman's arc in civil war was one of the best, so without him I dont know how I would feel about it.

We've only done the Iron Man films and the first Hulk before this. Wasn't involved with the others.

Hydraulx and Digital Domain also contributed, along with a bunch of smaller contributions from smaller effects houses

Yeah I noticed a bunch, it was funny seeing the Strause brothers have their names in the credit. I also never knew ILM had a Singapore branch.

I am so glad my theatre last night wasn't like that. People laughed, sure, and sometimes it carried over to where I'd miss another line, but it was no where near as bad as a select group fanboy-ing it up over every little thing. I've been to movies like that and I wanted to knock every one of them out, it was so annoying. I was actually really impressed with how normal it ended up being for how big of a movie it was.

Advice to live by: If you're not a fanboy of whatever the film is, it's best to wait a week before seeing it. The experience will be much better.

He did exactly what he is known for doing.

Really? He's known for putting together enormous, million dollar action movies? You fucking sure? Because he's never done it.

I said the movie was great, that every character stood on their own, and I'm getting this stupid nonsense thrown my way. Fuck, people, I loved Firefly too, but there were legitimate concerns about Joss handling a picture of this magnitude. I said that he handled it and made a great movie. Christ. Find somebody else to stand in for your pre-written rants.
