He was a pirate in Dodgeball too. :P

I was talking with my brother and he thinks

Would be a Hank Pymp.

While I visually agree, he still has to prove himself in a movie.

They will almost certainly go for at least one minority and another female character. I think Scarlet Witch is owned by Fox since she's a mutant, so that only leaves She-Hulk and Wasp as far as I know. My guess is we will see Ant Man, Wasp, and either War Machine or Black Panther added.

Don Cheadle back as War Machine? (I didn't see Iron Man 2; I assume he didn't die?)

Michael Jai White as Black Panther? (Imagine..someone who can actually fight, playing the role of a superhero that can fight!)

I'm not very familiar with Ant Man.

She-Hulk and Hulk fucking shit up together would be godly.

+1 for War Machine as well.

Can you imagine the lawyers in these situations? "Well, erm, technically she's a mutant so Fox should have the rights". Comic book nerd fights on an epic scale.

casting call now.

he's alive. i hope he returns in Iron Man 3. they need more character dev with him and Stark.

Interesting. If I watch Iron Man 2, will I have an idea of why there was no War Machine cameo in The Avengers? I almost assumed he died in Iron Man 2 or something.

Maybe I missed it,
but how did Hulk learn to control himself in the movie?

Also, Did Nick Fury go wipe those cards in some blood?

They probably didn't want to shift focus away from Iron Man by having War Machine.

At the end of Incredible Hulk, Banner learns how to control the Hulk. As long as he wills it, he can control it.

Yes.

yea, it's weird, maybe they didn't get a deal with Cheadle for it. but you should def watch IM2 just for the Avengers setup and you get some funny Coulson scenes.

1. He always had control. He only lost control on the Helicarrier due to Loki's magic.

2. Yup, that's just how he rolls.

They can use Scarlet Witch if they want to, Feige confirmed it. That said, her power doesn't make a lot of sense on film.

She-Hulk is that AWESOME comic book character that would look ridiculously out of place in the current Marvel Universe. And I don't think Ms. Marvel would be anything better. I mean, look at this shit.

Fury took the cards from Coulson's locker and wiped his blood on it.

Right

I saw it yesterday. LOVED it, but can someone explain to me what Banner meant by "I'm always angry?" Like, he can just control Hulk to the second? I was confused. Because earlier, he was definitely going to kill Scarlett.

Michael Jai White as Black Panther... why the fuck not. He definitely has the build and skill, now his acting on the other hand.... Dunno if he could pull it off.

Who would play Dr. Strange though?

She Hulk would be redundant, and you will not see War Machine unless for some reason RDJ did not want to do another Avengers gold mine.
Black Panther could work.
Mocking bird would be too similar to Widow. Tigra would just be odd. Scarlett Witch is possibly in X-Men hell.
Namor maybe? Not really known enough.
Dr Strange would be amazing, and they have been wanting to fast track a film for him.

Banner had control of his rage by the end of Incredible Hulk with the final shot. He also learned to control his stress from a Brazilian dude in that movie.

There are two main arguments for him Hulking out on Black Widow in this thread. 1) The Loki staff 2) He was injured. I'm on the latter camp.

I wonder if the Avengers' success will drive DC/Warner to speed up development on a Justice League or Superman/Batman movie?

Superman/Batman would peak my interest way more.

Well he is in the air force and he is stationed on the west coast. So he would only logically show up at the end of the movie. Even then I dont think he would make it there in time, well maybe to chow down with them.

If Banner willingly turns into the Hulk, he has control over it (for the most part, but like 1% of the time he gets the better of himself and punches Thor real hard).

If Banner unwillingly turns into the Hulk (ie - Loki using the staff to incite his rage) then Banner cannot control the Hulk.

By the time the new avengers movie comes out, she'll be in her new captain marvel costume, so that probably won't matter.

I didn't get to post my opinions after seeing the movie. Hulk Smashes! The movie was great like I was expecting. I had faith in Whedon.

Hulk was probably the best part. That scene when he fucked up Loki is just so good. I had a nerdgasm when Thor and Hulk were fighting guys on the ship. Hawkeye was actually cool. I expected Thanos to pop up at the end because of the Infinity Gauntlet in Thor.

I missed the Shawarma scene :(

They fucked up with everything but Batman. They would need to seriously do what marvel did and map this shit out for ot to work.

But a Batman/Superman is possible. They dont need to set up those characters at all.

there are phone clips of the Shawarma scene online. look around.

They were talking about making a JL movie, separate from the Nolan stuff. Without other movies backing it up it wouldn't be as much of an event though. And I wouldn't want them to use Nolan's stuff.

One thing about this movie I was surprised about was the lack of events in the movie coming back in the climax, Chekov's gun style.

- Captain's Shield + Thor's Hammer = big explosion. But they don't use this ability during the giant alien invasion.

- Iron Man + Thor's Lightning = 400% energy capacity. When IM was running out of juice at the end, I expected Thor to give him a re-charge. That didn't happen either.

Not a negative, just something I noticed.

i dunno about speed but if DKR doesn't beat Avengers, WB/DC is gonna take a real close look at Marvel's strategy.
