Found this excellent stuff on deviantart, love it when movies spur this type of fan made stuff. So far he's only made Thor and just recently made this Loki one. Captain America is coming next, apparently!

Great find. Thanks for posting them! :)

And make sure to post the rest that come out, please
Just saw that a Cap one is up, can't wait for the rest (if he's planning for it);

Is there a picture of the group shot at the very end of the film when they're all standing over Loki?

Also, what was the point of muzzling Loki before Thor took him back to Asgard at the end?

He can easily manipulate people. Also, who is that in your avatar?

I wonder how Ed Norton feels right now...
I've been thinking about this too. I'm sure he knew he was passing up a lucrative opportunity, but I doubt he realized just how successfully and crowd-pleasing this flick was gonna be.

edit: No tinypic or whatever that is! Bad sentry!

This is the Cap I want, damnit! Beat that wife-beating Pym!

Forgot dailymail was blocked! :lol

And no thanks Rubx, I want him to be a real good guy. He can be a jerk when justified, though. I wonder how (or if) they'll handle Pym's wife-beating history on the big screen... :s

And yet he was tricked by BW into revealing his plans to unleash the hulk. I felt they missed the perfect opportunity to show just how much of a master manipulator he is by playing and beating BW at her own game.

Yeah I didn't like that scene. He shouldn't have been so easily fooled by BW, her interrogation should have been child's play for him.

They just needed a scene to make ScarJo look useful I guess.

Seems a lot of people missed your thread about that Xia. By the way, are any of the uniforms from the movie on display at ILM? Just curious.
Not really, though there is a giant Iron Man plastered on the wall next to one of the bathrooms.

I'm curious, is this why so many of the military scenes from the trailers weren't even in the full movie?
I can only think of one military looking scene in the trailers, which actually was in the movie.

I'm kinda confused on the military angle.

You can't mention the military at all without their permission? You can't mention the president or anything either?

Like, you can't say "the us army has a bunch of planes we can use"?

That is not Captain America. SMH. Ugh.
It's the only Cap I know besides the movie! And if it's shitty Cap vs. vengeance Cap...I take vengeance Cap EVERY damn time!

The absence of Terrence Howard is 82% of the reason IM2 was disappointing. But I do love me some Terrence Howard.

Also, once again a major movie shows something from the last 5-10 minutes of the film in a trailer. I was waiting all through that final battle for Hulk to catch Iron Man and then boom, it's the very last act of the battle.

I *hate* that. Makes me not want to watch trailers at all.

"shitty cap" as you call him is a much better character than that ultimates abortion.

You can do all of that but you can't use their actual equipment unless they agree to support the movie.

Blame the marketing team. I can basically guarantee that Whedon did not want to show that. Unfortunately when they were testing trailer cuts, the inclusion of that shot doubled the reception of the trailer.

I would strangely find that a deterrent when heading to the bathrooms - or I'd make sure to go a different way.

The bathroom on the floor below has Judge Doom after he was flattened by the bulldozer at the end of Roger Rabbit on the wall, if that's any better.

You get used to that sorta thing around here over time.

I think Ultimate Cap is great. A man out of time doesn't just go, "Oh, what's an iPod?", he beats people up, gets in the face of local punks, is patriotic to a fault, has old-fashioned values and snaps the necks of terrorists. He's like your angry grandpa, if only a bit more murderous. I think people who complain that Ultimate Cap isn't like his 616 counterpart have missed the point somewhat.

I can see that happening. Would love to take a tour one day - I'd probably try my hardest not to geek out to the point of embarrassment.

It's awesome correct Cap vs. piece of shit douchebag Cap.
Boy Scout Cap couldn't save the world in time because he was too busy helping an old woman get a cat out of a tree meanwhile Awesome Cap saved the world twice over and is eating a steak dinner.

I just want some BITE to my Cappin!

Tell him Steve Dave!!

For real though while Cap may not be my favorite character in comics or even top 10, Ultimates Captain America is NOT Captain America and is garbage.
Like I said before many of the Ultimate versions come off as cast offs from the 90s attempts to make everyone into anti-heros and make them gritty.

Ultimate Cap is great on a conceptual level- given the problems that a lot of WWII veterans ran into when returning home, it makes sense that Cap would have even more of these problems, given his situation.

However, they go way too far. It should be more than just getting accustomed to the jump in tech and living standards, yes, but Cap is ultimately a good man- Ultimates forgets this.

Despite the enormous catharsis of HULK SMASH LOKI, in my opinion the emotional climax of the film is the failed phone call to Pepper fizzling out in space when Tony realizes he may have just sacrificed his life. I knew there was like a .05% chance anything would actually happen to Iron Man, but the character didn't know that, and damn if it isn't shot effectively.
I thought that was especially strong scene since earlier in the movie Iron Man had been accused of not being a "true hero" (or something of the sorts, iirc) since he's not the kind of person to sacrifice himself. That's why I don't personally completely agree with the "zero stakes" complaint some people have of Avengers.

1) They're two different characters - they're allowed to be different.

2) Ultimate Cap is a good man. What exactly did he really do that was 'bad'? Beat up a wife-beater in a back alley? Make a wise-crack about France while saving the world? Get grumpy with his girlfriend?

Did everyone else get the same delayed reaction to the "His first name is Agent" line? Both times I saw it, it took the audience a few seconds to process that joke and start laughing.

Nice. I work in SF but rarely stray from Financial District during the day and I usually try to stay out of the city during weekends. Also carbonite Jar-Jar is amazing.

Yep, happened both times I saw it.

A lot of people have trouble with that in these kind of films. You KNOW they're not going to kill off Tony, but Tony doesn't know shit. Obviously he's not going to die, but if you connect with the character and the actor and writing portray him correctly (which they certainly do in this film), then you feel for what the character is going through, not what the movie is telling you is happening.

It's certainly not emotional to see Iron Man go through that portal knowing that they'd never kill off Tony. It is emotional to see Iron Man go through the portal and see Tony suddently realizing "Oh shit, I'm going to die." I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see if Pepper was going to pick up the phone, not to see if Tony was going to make it back.
