Incoming thetrin.
Heh, it'd be kinda a slap in the face to Loki even more... Missing out on basically a peanut butter cup shot.
Incoming thetrin.
Well, ultimately it was Iron Man 3 featuring the Avengers![]()
Just saw that a Cap one is up, can't wait for the rest (if he's planning for it);Great find. Thanks for posting them!
And make sure to post the rest that come out, please
He was busy emo shopping for black clothes on the upper west side...
Is there a picture of the group shot at the very end of the film when they're all standing over Loki?
Also, what was the point of muzzling Loki before Thor took him back to Asgard at the end?
Loki is a master manipulator. That is why he got muzzled. He is very persuasive.
He can easily manipulate people. Also, who is that in your avatar?
I'm going to point out that you can drag and drop images into Google Image Search so you need never ask such questions again.![]()
I wish, that's the perfect 'Avengers Assemble' pic. It reminded me a lot of the old fan-made avengers posters earlier on, actually. Hopefully we'll see an HD screen pop up somewhere. Is there a picture of the group shot at the very end of the film when they're all standing over Loki?
I wonder how Ed Norton feels right now...
I've been thinking about this too. I'm sure he knew he was passing up a lucrative opportunity, but I doubt he realized just how successfully and crowd-pleasing this flick was gonna be.I wonder how Ed Norton feels right now...
Forgot dailymail was blocked! :loledit: No tinypic or whatever that is! Bad sentry!
Why the fuck was War Machine not in the movie? :/ Even just as a cameo when the army comes to help.
That was National Guard. No US military, Pentagon said no remember? ;P
But you forgot the best panel in that whole incident; This is the Cap I want, damnit! Beat that wife-beating Pym!
I'm curious, is this why so many of the military scenes from the trailers weren't even in the full movie? That was National Guard. No US military, Pentagon said no remember? ;P

And yet he was tricked by BW into revealing his plans to unleash the hulk. I felt they missed the perfect opportunity to show just how much of a master manipulator he is by playing and beating BW at her own game.

Not really, though there is a giant Iron Man plastered on the wall next to one of the bathrooms.Seems a lot of people missed your thread about that Xia. By the way, are any of the uniforms from the movie on display at ILM? Just curious.
I can only think of one military looking scene in the trailers, which actually was in the movie.I'm curious, is this why so many of the military scenes from the trailers weren't even in the full movie?

It's the only Cap I know besides the movie! And if it's shitty Cap vs. vengeance Cap...I take vengeance Cap EVERY damn time! That is not Captain America. SMH. Ugh.

I'm kinda confused on the military angle.
You can't mention the military at all without their permission? You can't mention the president or anything either?
Like, you can't say "the us army has a bunch of planes we can use"?
Blame the marketing team. I can basically guarantee that Whedon did not want to show that. Unfortunately when they were testing trailer cuts, the inclusion of that shot doubled the reception of the trailer. The absence of Terrence Howard is 82% of the reason IM2 was disappointing. But I do love me some Terrence Howard.
Also, once again a major movie shows something from the last 5-10 minutes of the film in a trailer. I was waiting all through that final battle for Hulk to catch Iron Man and then boom, it's the very last act of the battle.
I *hate* that. Makes me not want to watch trailers at all.

I would strangely find that a deterrent when heading to the bathrooms - or I'd make sure to go a different way.
The bathroom on the floor below has Judge Doom after he was flattened by the bulldozer at the end of Roger Rabbit on the wall, if that's any better.
You get used to that sorta thing around here over time.
I can see that happening. Would love to take a tour one day - I'd probably try my hardest not to geek out to the point of embarrassment.
Boy Scout Cap couldn't save the world in time because he was too busy helping an old woman get a cat out of a tree meanwhile Awesome Cap saved the world twice over and is eating a steak dinner. It's awesome correct Cap vs. piece of shit douchebag Cap.
"shitty cap" as you call him is a much better character than that ultimates abortion.

I thought that was especially strong scene since earlier in the movie Iron Man had been accused of not being a "true hero" (or something of the sorts, iirc) since he's not the kind of person to sacrifice himself. That's why I don't personally completely agree with the "zero stakes" complaint some people have of Avengers.Despite the enormous catharsis of HULK SMASH LOKI, in my opinion the emotional climax of the film is the failed phone call to Pepper fizzling out in space when Tony realizes he may have just sacrificed his life. I knew there was like a .05% chance anything would actually happen to Iron Man, but the character didn't know that, and damn if it isn't shot effectively.
However, they go way too far. It should be more than just getting accustomed to the jump in tech and living standards, yes, but Cap is ultimately a good man- Ultimates forgets this.
Did everyone else get the same delayed reaction to the "His first name is Agent" line? Both times I saw it, it took the audience a few seconds to process that joke and start laughing.
