Who would win in a fight? Batman or Ironman?

My biggest problem with the film was the inaccuracies in this scene.

I thought the movie made it pretty clear that Iron Man really wasn't a match for Thor. Tony was fighting smart, and using his armor's tricks to land hits when mostly keeping out of Thor's range, but he wasn't really doing any damage to Thor. On the other hand, whenever Thor landed a hit he easily damaged Iron Man's armor.

As to the pics above. That took place in Thor's book. Of course the fight was going to go down that way. If the title was Iron Man instead of Thor, Tony would have fared better (even if he didn't win). It's comics.

why would he have above average strength though? I mean do you mean above average like a bodybuilder compared to regular humans or something stronger than that?

He's obviously very strong and is a martial arts expert, he's very stealthy etc. but really he's just a dude in a costume with a few gadgets. Iron Man has fricken laser beams and can fuckin fly

Stark has anti-EMP devices built in. The current suit is in his bones, so he always technically has it.

Iron Man is essentially Green Lantern now, minus the color issues.

That's not the Extremis armor, it's the Bleeding Edge armor.

Known weaponry includes repulsors, uni-beam, pulse bolts, and an energy blade. Defenses include deflectors. Other type of weapons and upgrades seems to be created by Stark's imagination, such as a boxing glove.

This entire armor is kept inside Tony's body until mentally commanded in which it manifests itself as the Iron Man Armor. The armor is made up of Nano-Machines that can now be commanded to turn into any type of structure upon Stark's skin. For example, the nano-machines can turn into clothes, other armors, or even different beings completely, by having the nano-machines change their properties into whatever Stark wants them to. It can also dissociate to transform into the Iron Man armor whenever Stark wishes. The armor and Stark's own transhuman body are powered by the high-yield arc reactor mounted in his chest. The high output of the arc reactor has greatly augmented Stark's intelligence and provided him superhuman-level multitasking and learning capabilities.

Unlike earlier armors, this new armor does not appear to rely on motors and servos for motion. Instead, the nano-machines create a second layer of artificial muscle over Stark's body, upon which additional structures are assembled. This also enables the armor to self-repair and be almost invulnerable as the armor is capable of transforming and healing itself, by having the constantly replicating nano-machines replace anything that is lost or used, as long as the power output from the arc reactor isn't interrupted or terminated.

dat comic book science.

Lucius Fox dreams of being Tony Stark...
And his biggest creation is an armored buggy, with a bike hidden inside... also he made a radar with cell-phones.

JLA
Superman
Batman
Wonder Woman
Aquaman
Martian Manhunter
Green Lantern
Flash

Avengers
Captain America
Thor
Iron Man
Quicksilver
Ms. Marvel
Vision
Namor

No items. Final Destination.

Avengers have no counter for the Flash in that match up. switch Quicksilver with his sister and then JLA has no counter for Hex powers.

Iron Man is one of the most powerful heroes on Marvel's roster. His suit running standard is powerful enough to make him a Tier 1 hero. When he rerouts power to different systems he can outperform even further. He is one of the strongest Marvel heroes when he reroutes power to his strength systems, for example. He can even achieve Hulk-levels of strength for a couple seconds. The same boosted performance has been done on his flight systems, weapons, and forcefields.

In a straight fight that just happens, as in no preperation, you have to give it to the Invincible Iron Man. We are talking about orbital strikes being delivered by a weapons making genius. I don't know if there is a lot that Batman has in his utility belt that is even powerful enough to harm or damage Iron Man. The best Batman can manage would be to get away or fool Tony into thinking he killed him.

With advanced preparation Batman will beat Iron Man but that is because that's how Frank Miller wrote him beating Superman and it has become canon. Batman can beat anyone, including Jesus and the Old Testament God so long as he has the preparation and resources at his desposal. Does it count? Really that's up to you. Put it this way, if Batman defeated another uber-power hero with preparation like he did Superman would you, the reader, feel cheesed? This is why I question the validity of that kind of victory. It's a big 'what if' that's already been done and so not likely to be re-done by another writer.

Iron Man in a random-ass fight. Bruce would be a fucking memory.

Batman if he has time to get a plan together. He'll MacGyver some shit together to neutralize Iron Man.

hmm i prefer paper form but i just checked, there is no omnibus available for that run it seems :( oh well maybe some day!

Yeah the run is still going so no omnibus yet. its in 5-8 trade papers. A day at B&N can set you straight. With Avengers Vs xmen coming up(happening) i think a couple of good issues are coming.
Though sometimes the timeline is messed up because iron man shit happens in the Avengers books as well as iron man books so you kind of have to read both.

He defeated Darkseid more powerful than Superman and the 'Big Bad' of the DC universe.

JLA big 7 lineup would curb stomp the Avengers.

Which avengers ? Dunno about curb stop. I'll say that GL and Flash are the main problems

Avengers can handle Supes, Bats , Wonderwoman, Manhunter, Aquaman. And that list doesnt even have ANY of the hulks that are on the avengers, or Wonderman who was a long time avenger and is insanely powerful.

Superman and the Flash are the main problems.

Green Lantern is totally useless against Thor. But that team needs more heavy hitters on it to deal with Superman, Flash, and WW.

I think that a better match up for the JLA Big 7 would be the Defenders:

Hulk
Silver Surfer
Doctor Strange
Namor
Valkyrie
Nighthawk
Hellcat

Nighthawk and Hellcat aren't even needed, but they make it 7 vs 7

On the topic of who's richer, Forbes has an interesting annual article known as "The Forbes Fictional 15", where the richest fictional characters are listed. In this list, Stark is richer than Wayne, and has been for a couple of years in a row now.

Bats could prep time with robo-batmans Kingdom Come-style and let them take care of business.

By the way, is there a particular reason why Bruce doesn't go all out and makes a super Ironman-like armor with Wayne tech for himself?

Predator hasn't landed yet.
