Jesus. The incompetence is just overwhelming. I'm not even mad anymore, it's like my emotions have transenced anger and become something different. I guess I'm just shocked. I predicted some techmical hiccups, but this? In 2012? Un-fucking-believable. The dumbass in charge of the servers over there needs to be kicked to the fucking curb.

I just... wow.
 
Too bad this isn't 2003 then we could all play pimp-version Gunbound.

Two hours, aye caramba. This is their secret plan to just wait it out until the East Coast says "oh fuck it" and goes to bed, at which point the load will be lessened considerably and Blizzard will be like "heh."

Fortunately we'll be getting CE angel wings from this.

Basically I vault out of the way of stuff, caltrops it to keep it from hitting me, and then go to town with Rapid Fire. If stuff gets too close (vortexing bastards mostly) I hit them with the knives. If I run out of hatred, I spam Hungering Arrow and that replenishes it pretty quick.

It's....an okay build. It could be better, and I was really waiting for a challenging boss or something to force me to upgrade. I was right near one and then...poof...down went the servers.

Edit: Two hours? Fuck me. Goodnight guys.
 
You guys know that you can play Diablo 3 just fine on the European or Asian servers, right?

You probably won't want to sink in a ton of time over there, but you might as well try out a couple of new classes or something.

It's more fun than complaining on GAF.
 
Bah, guess I'm heading to sleep so I can try to get up early and play a little before work tomorrow....

I was really hoping to get through Act 2 tonight :(
 
Another 1 hr and 45 minutes? Are you fucking kidding me? Terrible is an understatement. They should give us a month of free WoW or something to make up for this shit.

Ok I generally don't get irritated with games issues and whatever else, but are you freaking kidding me? Couldn't log on last night, so I went to bed, couldn't log on this morning so I went to school, couldn't log on this afternoon so I fixed my sprinkling system. Got about an hour in than had to go back to class. I come home finish dinner with my wife finally have a chance to sit down and oh no the servers are down....

And not only that but now the SC2 servers are down as well so that is just fantastic.....

How would it go against any sort of integrity? Just because they distributed marketing material doesn't mean they're also getting paid for a good review.

Any review site that gives this game a bad review is a bad site regardless.
 
I knew GAF would come through to white knight Blizzard.

Regardless of how much you love them, this is botched. They made active decisions that are hurting their customers. You may not remember it in a month, but the fact is, we did all pay to play today and it's very sour to have bought a new thing and be unable to enjoy it.

It's bad customer service, and regardless of technical explanations, there aren't any excuses.

I...might be able to make it. Play for 3 hours then go to sleep? Err...maybe 2 hours. I'm still surprised they didnt test a scenario such as this (would that be possible) before launch.

I liked that set up a lot, though I ended up swapping out the frost nova for diamond skin because it's practically 6-second invincibility on Normal.

It's working all right. I really want to try using Time Bomb on Explosive Blast in a few levels and kite things with it. And I'm dying to bring Archon in.
 
I wonder how the programmers and artists that spent the last few years of their life feel about how Blizzard's systems guys are treating their baby?

This is like the greatest band in the world taking the stage for the largest concert ever... and then delaying it because the roadies can't hook up the speakers correctly.

You'd think someone's head is rolling for this. How can a company with the most popular MMO in existence not accurately and adequately plan a launch of this magnitude? And before an apologist reiterates the tune of, "But how can you?" It is easy, you over prepare, then scale back. You don't under prepare and build up. Not with the mountains of cash that Blizzard has at their disposal.

Wish I was in the Torchlight 2 beta. :(
 
When I install the game I'm getting an error message:

ERROR: The file "C:\Program Files (x86)\DiabloIII\Updates\d3-0-9558-Win-final.MPQ" appears to be corrupt. You may need to download this file again.


This is a retail install, already authenticated. I uninstalled it after getting this message but am getting it again.
 
I can't play until tomorrow because of finals, but from a lot of the stuff I'm reading it sounds like I've only missed a headache so far. Hopefully they can get this sorted soon.
 
The disappointing part for me is that I wasn't able to get past the last part of the beta. So I haven't seen any new content yet. I hope this is fixed tomorrow after work.
 
I almost want to purchase this right now so I can take part in the inevitable Blizzard apology gift. Wonder what it'll be! Pandaria beta access? 1 free future Blizzard game?
