I got to a point where the blacksmither's items were +5 levels too high for me and started selling my loot. I'll drop back to salvaging when I'm able to wear the stuff I craft.
This. I just can't help but spend my $ on leveling that rat bastard too.

Yes - just go to the jewelry smith. You should use your gems as much/good as possible, they grant a tremendous boost even on low levels.
It's better to salvage the socketed weapon. The gem wil reappear in your inventory without any cost, but you lose the weapon obviously. Then again, you probably want to resocked that gem anyway so it's no biggy.
If it's the Nephalem thing, it's only at level 60.
Not higher quality but more items drop... if the players in your group are willing to give/trade their items to you then you'll have a much better chance of finding upgrades.Do more people in a game improve the loot quality, or just difficulty level?
Encryption slows things down and anything that can be encrypted can be broken
yep. can't finish fucking act 1. =|EU servers are terrible right now
Holy shit that is awesome. I need to know how...
My achievements for Killing the Skeleton King and the Butcher weren't activated and show still as unearned. I know it seems to be a rather widespread problem but has someone else earned the achievements after this happening without having to replay those fights? I will eventually, but just to know if Blizzard is addressing the problem.
Game looks and plays phenomenal in 1080P with all high settings on a MBP hooked up to a 42" LCD, was not expecting that at all. I close the lid & run it with an external mouse & g13 gamepad and so far I've found it to be a great experience. Once the latency is cleared up on their end it should be flawless.
I'm in a state of being constantly perplexed. I want to rage like hell at Blizzards shitty server architecture, but I also want to slobber all over them for making a damn good game.
Fuck you Blizzard
I love you Blizz. Thanks for making it so easy to get another char up to NM, after you killed my first on.
Are you playing with followers? Are you melee?
You will die to Vampiric champs in later difficulties if you don't have the damage output to beat their lifesteal.
Vitality is always important for every character but if you don't balance it against your primary stat your damage will suffer which makes everything slow down.
It's a pretty simple trade off early on, more defense or "insurance" but less killing speed. Later on, as you come up against Vampiric Champions, and eventually bosses with enrage timers (so if you don't kill them fast enough they start 2-shotting you) it's going to be a real problem. Obviously though you'll have different gear and you're not literally "putting points into vitality" so you can start off Vitality heavy and slowly balance it out over the course of the game.
On my Witch Doctor I try to keep it around 65/35 for Int/Vit ratio.
How do you use your mouse on the couch?
Do you guys break down the blues/yellow items you find or do you just sell them? I've been salvaging everything but I dont have too much $
Wow Auction House is awesome. Made my shitty monk into a ridiculous monk.
Will bid lots of items now.

Players can open the auction house interface from anywhere in the game to make purchases or list items for sale.
Question:
I bought the regular edition online.
I might go to target/gamestop to see if they have any CE.
If they do (not likely) i will buy it.
Can i get the CE perks a separate code? or the game code is a "CE code"? meaning that if i want my CE perks my standard ed code will go to waste.
Some people say to salvage everything for the mats but I found that it's better to just sell most of it and stock up on mats when you actually want to craft something. It's not like blues are hard to find in this.
So far my best gear was mostly bought on the AH.
Also if you find that your gear doesn't look different enough after a few levels definitely check the AH, I've found equipment on it that looks nothing like the drops I've been getting.
I fucking love playing this game just like it's D2Join game, kill everything, rejoin, etc...
Too bad EU servers seems to be down nowso much downtime
I have a custom all purpose gaming stand I designed and built, rocks the gamepad and a black anodized aluminum mousepad I milled and laser engraved, both affixed to their own 12" square area with cable management machined into the corners. I plug them into a USB hub with an extension cable and that allows me to sit at the appropriate distance from the display. Tangentially, I can't use any soft seating for extended periods due to recovering from multiple herniated disc injuries. I use the gaming stand setup with a kneeling chair to maintain standing lumbar curvature, or as close to that as possible given the circumstances. How do you use your mouse on the couch?
I only notice that happening when I die.Question for CE owners: I've noticed that after playing for a while my wings won't be on my character anymore. It seems to be random as to when they stop showing up. I have to load them back up at the point.
Anyone else notice something similar? I can't seem to figure out what the root cause is.

So I have been going through the game with a friend, me a barb and him a monk, and so far we have been destroying everything in our path. But we just got to Act 3 and we ran into the mobs that do that poison attack or whatever it is (they stick their hands on the ground and a green circle comes under your character) and we have died constantly since then. Is there nothing we can do to avoid bein so damn fragile agaisnt these attacks? I have yet to see any gear woth resists on it.
Also Barbs, what are your skill/rune setups?
Found the second piece of the sword, and there is just something about this game that clicks. While most imitators it doesn't.
Still not a fan of cooldowns.
This might sound dumb, but this attack is easy enough to avoid. Just leave the green circle haha. Barbs could leap out. On my monk, I target an enemy outside the circle and teleport out.So I have been going through the game with a friend, me a barb and him a monk, and so far we have been destroying everything in our path.
