This question has probably been asked 10 times already but does anyone if you equip something like a "find magic" item on your companion will it work to increase magic find rates?

Wow, just found this:
NNVXj.png

Huge upgrade from what I had. Too bad I'm not a Barbarian.

I want :(

Goddamn people are moving fast in this game. Had it for two days now and put in 7 hours. People are already finishing Nightmare. Hah.

So did they fix achievements randomly disappearing yet? Kind of annoying for those one time only achievements making them impossible to get

What Witch Doctor builds are people using?
I'm running around with the giant zombie, haunting everything with the lifegain rune, then using the AoE slow and spirit walk to run away. I was using firebombs as my main attack but I was quite doing enough damage to single targets at the end of act 2 so I switched to triple poison blowgun which seems better.

Not sure since I'm not using a follower but you should be able to see if it makes a diff by checking the details section of your character sheet.

In regular co-op it uses an average of every player's MF/GF. So players with low or no values there are simply bringing the team down :p

hit Nightmare today with my roommate and a couple goons. I love my Monk so much. Oh man, this game keeps on delivering.

Since I went full media blackout with this game, I would like a few questions answered:

1) I noticed the game has these "Skill Runes" and so far I haven't found any classic Diablo runes yet. Are there even runes in the game or are the skill runes the new type of rune?

2) If runes aren't in the game then what's the best thing to put in socketed items? Gems?

I just made out of Act 1 with around a LVL15-16ish Demon Hunter. This game is the new crack for sure although I am definitely feel the streamlining nature of the game especially with the new AH. I was so close to giving in and buying a Legendary item for like 3000 G only but decided against it... I want to play it old school Diablo as much as I can before tinkering with the AH.

I am also REALLY enjoying messing around with the various skills/runes even at this early stage. Previous Diablo games didn't give you nearly this much experimentation and I really feel like I am choosing a layout based on my own preference with actual experience of play behind them.

Hehe, I'm letting my brother play D3 with my Bnet account and he's totally getting into the game. He's rolling with DH and he loves shooting things up!

This might be the game that will finally convert him to a PC gamer :o

1. Nope.
2. Gems only option

You have elective mode on right?

Added Rain of Vengeance with Dark Cloud rune to my skills. I suddenly feel so much more badass and I'm not even sure if it's even worthwhile. So much stuff flying around! :D

I must be bad at this game because I can't solo
Diablo
as a Demon Hunter at level 31 to save my life. At least 30 attempts!

Messing with skills is only going to get more fun as you get farther.

Thanks for the quick response and of course I have Elective mode on plus the advance tooltip on. Thank god for the OP because I read most of it and definitely made a mental note to turn those on. My experience would've been way different without Elective mode.

I am using Grenades + Bolo trap with DH which I wouldn't have been able to do without Elective mode. Don't know why this mode isn't standard.

I saw you playing while I was playing racking up those achievements. Your level is way ahead of mine so I don't think we would be seeing each other much. :D

So what is considered good +gold + magic items on AH? Pictures as an example?

Depends on where you are in the game and the difficulty. Not at my main comp now but just use the search modifiers to find rares with the best MF/GF at your level that are at a reasonable price.

took a break from my monk due to high latency not fun for melee.

Wizard is pretty damn fun after 10 or so when you get the first rune for 'galaxy bomb'.

Might just be all the magicka i've played the past year though lol.

Man that was fucking good, took half the day off and rocked a solid 6 hours straight without being disconnected.

Now we're talking!

I'm using firebomb, haunt with resentful spirit, hex with hedge magic, soul harvest with siphon, acid cloud with acid rain, and gargantuan with humongoid. I never use the hex so maybe I should change it but I usually just switch between the firebomb and acid cloud while I have the gargantuan out and soul harvest when necessary for life.

Beat normal earlier today and was disappointed with the ______ battle and the fact Act 4 was super short but i understand why. Also no legendary items yet *cry* i was going to start normal but i have to finish Act 3/Act 4 with my Wizard with a friend before that and i really want to try the Barb when he leaves for a week.

It's hard to play with one character when you have to juggle multiple ones with different friends so you don't get way too ahead, right now i have the Hunter who finished normal with one friend, Wizard half way through with another and a Witch Doctor with another friend that's mid Act 3.

Gets tiring.

is there away to make companions do damage? My old templar can seem to only do 2 damage =/
Give him gear? weapon? I use the Temp for pure healing purposes, if you want damage try the mage one or archer one or make sure you give the Temp attacking skills instead of healing.

WHY ARE THE PINGS SO ASS?! i cant play the game fucking right it just eats my inputs or do them super late. the rollback is also killing me goddamn it.

NOT COOL BRO.

Play something else for a while. :P

Please edit your quote and delete the spoiler, most people aren't done yet. [sarcasm]Rules in the OP, what are they?[/sarcasm]

EDIT: Thanks.

Totally agree on this. I really think this type of skill system is ideally suited for action based RPGs. On first glance it seems too simple, but possibly as a result there is a real underlying complexity. Because you're only choosing 6 skills, each one is critical. Also, being free from the limitations imposed by skill trees is really very positive.

I guess you could complain about the lack of permanence, but I really don't think that's justified. IMO, attraction to a character should come through your ability to personalize it, which barriers to changing things just get in the way of.

LMAO @ quoting end game boss spoilers.

Posting AND quoting, if i hadn't been spoilered in here on Tuesday already I'd be even more mad. Still frustrating though, i'm sure it'll spoiler some people -.-. I'm sill not done with the game yet but have seen endgame and act-boss spoilers countless times. Fuck that shit.

Hrm, found a way to get 5k XP every 2 minutes or so, with a chance of at least rare items.

Pretty horrible way of going about things

It's not just choosing 6 skills but rather 6 skills and each of them with their particular runes on top of the 3 passive abilities that is the true complexity. And then figuring out which combination of what skills + runes has the most synergy with each other plus your gear. Can't wait to see some end game builds people come up with as the game progresses.

There i edited it as if it was some huge spoiler /shrug

smr00, you dumb son.
You thought the end game boss was a goddamn unicorn? it's fucking DIABLO 3.

I edited it so people would stop getting butthurt over an obvious thing. GAF is ridiculous at times.

LMAO @ quoting end game boss spoilers.

Indeed. Can't play the game with a 350 ping and come here to see end game spoilers =/ Even when I'm not playing the game is ruined. (I'm kind of joking if you wondered).

Guess I'll just go back to shuffle through the AH to see what's up.

I roll, soul harvest, grasping (eels), exploding toads, acid cloud can't remember the name I think that's it.

No problems wrecking stuff.
