I guess it seems odd to me that the bluray has the changes, but the dvd does not. That's the only reason I'm holding out hope. (because really, I think the initial version has images that are framed a bit better)

I don't think Nolan makes movies for home viewing.
 
I got spoiled on that last toy by Conan commercial of all things.

I don't want a resurrected Ra's in Nolan's Batman movies! Keep that supernatural shit away! It better be a flashback with him talking to a younger Bane or something. If he didn't die in Begins then that cheapens an awesome moment of that movie. I don't like where this is going... I don't see how Nolan could make something like a Lazarus Pit work in his universe.

It's a flashback. A cameo from most sources.

Regarding the Prison
Some speculate that the prison or ruin that Wayne is climbing out of in the trailers is the Lazarus Pit in name only and to exit it by climbing is a metaphoric "rebirth"

All I know is, Nick Nolte HAD to be the brother of Gary Busey's character from the first LW, because that would have meant I unconsciously run the universe.

The only "confirmation" was those spy photos of large green screen placed outside. Some speculated it was to CG the pits. Unless I missed a huge megaton(i have been trying to keep up closely with TDKR), then there was no "confirmation" regarding anything related to the pits.

Yeah, I'm aware of those CG mats, but I think it's more likely that relates to the prison that Bruce gets thrown into and climbs out of than some mystical Lazarus Pit out in the open. I wish those those spy pics had never come out though because it's led to some really silly speculation and rumor-mongering for the last year.

I mean, honestly, this movie looks complicated as it is right now. We've got to deal with the arcs of Batman, Bane, Catwoman, Blake, Gordon, Lucius, Alfred, and Talia. And people honestly think we can fit a resurrected Ra's in there? There isn't enough running time in the world for a plot that complex to work without the movie as a whole suffering. Not to mention, it doesn't fit tonally with Nolan's movies at all.

I completely agree, I was more or less being sarcastic. I had never heard about them being confirmed, so his matter of fact post was kinda funny to me. I honestly think the CG mats had more to do with Bane, but thats my own speculation.
