uh quick question, dumb question but I just can't find an answer. how do I rejoin a game that I have been dropped from?
How does it work with stuff like Rapid Fire on the DH? Is it just pulling from the MH for this move even when DW?
Is there any way to completely fix items? Because I have some items that are 48/49 and I can't fix them which means I can't sell them at the AH.
Huh? It's not hardcore. It's just really, really, really hard.
I use the Logitech g700. It conviently has 4 buttons at the thumb for all 4 skills. It's a great mouseI'm thinking about getting a gaming mouse for this game so I don't need to use the keyboard to activate my 1-4 abilities. Any recommendations?
Yeah, I thought that was odd too. There is a very handy 'repair everything' button for xx gold.Repair it via Merchants (oddly, not the Blacksmith).
Finally beat this game with friends for the first time. Last act was hard as hell thanks to one of them being only level 22. He got the game late and decided to hop on at level 1 when we were already on Act II. Is it possible he is the first person to beat this game at such a low level xD ?

I saw you playing Act IV earlier while I was just starting it XD
Will definitely join you if my ping improves
Does the treasure seaker remind anyone else of this guy?

Spreadsheet factors +Damage. +Damage on your MH does not work on your OH, however. And it doesn't technically factor twice from +Damage since it still alternates attacks. At best, it factors +Damage on a faster attack speed, not twice.
It _should_ be Main Hand damage as far as I know. I never checked this.
Dual Wielding has two advantages:
1) Greater hatred/spirit generation
2) Effectively benefits twice from +damage itemization
It is going to produce lower dps on spreadsheet, however.
There is a weird problem with this game where it is infinitely more enjoyable with 3 or 4 people, but it is inadvisable to play through with a group your first time because you will steamroll absolutely everything and you are guaranteed to miss plot, dialogue or even bosses if someone accidentally starts something early. I'm not sure which is preferable. All I know is I'm not really gonna be soloing much anymore.
But you're not actually benefiting twice from +damage itemization.
All you get is the +15% attack speed. That's it, and that's assuming your off hand weapon has the same damage as the main hand.
But ring/amulet +damage does.
Yes, you are. Any +damage affects both weapons, and +damage to two faster, lower dps weapons will scale much better than +damage to a single, slower weapon.

There I was, blissfully ignoring Diablo 3, when my stupid, mean-spirited friend offered me a guest pass.
...Ahem. The game is very rewarding. Just when things seem to be getting dull or repetitive, you level up or a new skill unlocks. I wouldn't mind a little more enemy variety, but overall, I really like the atmosphere of the game and spells look sufficiently devastating (playing as a wizard).
Does a character created using a guest pass carry over into the full game?

Dual Wield Frenzy Life leech Barb here ...
Is this a viable build for inferno?

Not clicking too often and only picking up blue-tinged items. Am I doing it right?

Not true, because you don't attack with both weapons at the same time, it's one attack with the main weapon, the next attack with the off hand weapon. So the modifiers still only adds the same damage to each attack.
If you have a weapon that does 100 damage, and use it as the only weapon, and a +20 damage, if you attack once you do 120, if you attack twice you do 240. Now you have a main hand weapon that does 100 and a off hand weapon that does 95, if you attack once you do 120, if you attack twice you to 235. The only difference is you did the 2 attacks slightly faster with dual wield.
Most people most likely know about the Act IV quest 1 exp abuse. You can do that quest over and over again for some nice exp.
However, just found out that the Wortham quest in Act I gives you even more. 39k xp in 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Plus one rare pack, so most likely a rare every time with 80 or mf.
Yes, it does.
Sadly it does not.
EDIT: apparently I'm wrong
Glad you are liking the game. The enemy variety really opens up as you progress.
And yes I believe guest pass characters carry over.Probably beaten.
Edit: Def. beaten.
Yes, it does.
I'm not in inferno yet, but I've watched several streams -- it definiteyl will not be viable at least in the early stages of inferno when eveyrone has "bad" gear by inferno standards. Basically everyone will need to go high survivability, high burst builds, as you'll spend very little time standing still (allowing you to do sustained damage) and a lot of time simply trying to survive.
This is very simple. Which scales better: +damage to two faster attacking, lower DPS weapons, or one slower attacking higher DPS weapon?
And how often do those weapons attack? Generally speaking 2h weapons are automatically slower attacks, higher damage, let alone the 15% increase you get from dual wield.
I'm not sure what you're arguing against. Obviously Blizzard didn't just make dual wielding inferior to single weapon design across the board, or no one would choose it. It's a tradeoff; dual wielding scales better with +damage and has higher hatred/spirit generation, while 2hers hit harder and scale better with +dexterity and +strength.

Last Hearth said:You're assuming that single weapon is 2H and slow. I'm talking about using using a single 1H weapon with shield compared to dual wielding.
Dual wield is broken right now, it simply is not worth it.
I'm 22 and I have way less DPS... and less DEX for that matter, as a DH. Damn. What'd you do to get the gear? I refuse to use AH until I'm at least done with normal mode, if not even Nightmare.
Nice! This thing will sell for 75k and more on HC.
My weapons and chest armour are all AH buys - crazy not to atm, as everything is so cheap!
All 2hers are slower than all 1hers from everything I've seen -- so yes, that is what I'm assuming, and it is a safe assumption. Obviously there can be outliers. If you're using a 1her and shield, you lose these things:
1) No more 15% IAS bonus
2) Your weapon will be still be lower DPS relative to better 2hers, as 1hers have lower DPS than 2hed weapons
3) Lower hatred/spirit generation
In a way, it's the worst of both worlds; lower dps weapon with no IAS and low hatred/spirit generation. Greatly increased survivability is the tradeoff, but since I have no trouble surviving thus far (in early Hell right now as a DH), I see no reason to sacrifice any DPS.
It's perfectly fine, you just don't seem to understand for it some reason. It is certainly not ideal for the current end game, where sustained DPS isn't realistic and added hatred/spirit generation isn't relevant because you rarely get a chance to spend it all on a consistent basis.
Quivers are bow specific and therefore aren't hindered by two handed bows. As long as you are using a bow you can have a quiver. How come I can still have a quiver equipped despite having a 2H bow in my main hand? Is it fully functional? It's kinda weird, because I feel like it isn't (as a higher DPS 2H bow ends up with lower DPS when I equip it, so I thought the quiver would've lost its +attackspeed), but then I compared my magic find with a 1H bow and a 2H bow (because my quiver has +magicfind), and nothing changed... does anyone mind explaining what's up with that?
Just feels like cheating myself out of the experience/challenge for me. I wanna beat the game with what I found myself.![]()
The way I look at it is with dual wielding you get the life per hit from the OH. Is this not significant in later difficulties?
I'm in one of those doing it wrong and I know it moments
I love my Witch Doctor but I'm about to hit 25 and my damage is only at 89. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
