Battle.net! No tax.
Hmm it's 59.99€ surely there are cheaper ways of getting it, no?
Sorry, this is the first pc game i'm buying in a couple of years now
Battle.net! No tax.
Can anyone in NA login? Just getting stuck on 1st step.
I just hit 60 on my Witch Doctor. Hell is fine if you play a vision quest build. Even without one you can still manage it, you just have to take your time and make the most of the crowd control the class has to offer.
I didn't switch to vision quest until I hit 54, which was this morning. It has been an endless stream of zombie bears running rampage all day long.
I can login fine.
how does the dps-calculation work if you have two single-handed weapons?
as a monk, if i fight with one single-handed weapon only i do ~500dps. I added another weapon in the second hand which does nearly the same damage as the first weapon, yet my dps barely rises. it is just 650 fps now. why?
I stopped using the AH as soon as I hit nightmare. Once you know how your character works you can save your cash and buy bank slots, upgrade your blacksmith and jewel cutter and have some money left over for some late game items.
Here is my character now
looks good, man. You can play Wiz as melee, range or a mix of the 2 in normal. On Nightmare, it will be a bit more complicated as Diamond Skin won't save you in all situations rendering melee Wiz inadvisable at times. In fact, depending on the nature of the blue/yellow enemy, you're going to be fucked if you have any configuration other than one that allows you to kite (including some of the bosses). There are some crazy yellow and blue tactics that you haven't seen yet that just feel cheap. You'll see soon enough.Playing a wizard, and while I'm finding the game a breeze (Act 3 Normal so far), I also think I'm doing it wrong. I'm using the following build http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#WRXYdk!aY!aaaaa and as I said, I'm having no trouble whatsoever (currently at level 26 with a 312 dps or so).
Basically:
- Spectral Blade rips through most enemies without any damage to me. Feels like I'm playing a warrior.
- With blues and yellows, a combination of Spectral Blade, Diamond Skin and Frost Nova does the deed pretty easily.
- With yellows and lots of enemies, a combination of Spectral Blade, Diamond Skin, Frost Nova, Hydra and Wave Force minces everything in my path. Frost Nova followed by Wave Force is fun fun fun! Try it if you haven't.
In essence, it feels I'm playing a warrior (not that I'm complaining, it's quite fun) since it's close quarters combat most of the time.
Thoughts?

GAF Name: Mr.Robot
Battletag: MrRobot#1900
Region: The Americas
Class: Barbarian
Just got the game and played it for 3 hours without noticing, i just got to level 10 and still on the first act, everything was smooth in a party of 4, except for a minute when i was lagging like crazy, but it may have been someone else in the house downloading something, i want to keep playing but i gotta go to sleep.
Also can i switch from normal to a higher difficulty or do i need to finish the game on normal first, i didn't find an option to switch it?
Holy crap, the opening cinematic for act 3 is absolutely amazing![]()

Speaking of diamond skin, is there a way the enemy can cancel your diamond skin prematurely? Does it have a limit to the amount of damage it can absorb? Because I know many a time I thought that skin would keep me alive and suddenly I'd be on my deathbed.
This build probably wont work against the last 3 bosses in act 4. You don't wanna get too close to them. Diamond Skin absorbs a set amount of damage (which can be very large). It doesn't, however, provide invulnerability.
Might not be his connection. There is a common problem with high lag spikes.i had ~200 the entire day with no drops, it's def your connection.

Jesus. How do you get such a high DPS?! I've been trying to stack my Monk with +dex items and the highest I can get is 300 DPS at the moment at level 34.![]()

I've been trying the auction house because of how bad the blacksmith is.you need to craft some items or something at 34 you should be closer to 500
Ah, that might be it. I've been splitting items between DEX and VIT (and sometimes MF). Is it worth investing in health for the monk?better items. Stack items with high dexterity. Check out the Auction House, search for weapons/armor for the Monk with high dexterity numbers (50+) and limit the results to items under 10k or 5k or whatever you want to pay. Buy things that are upgrades.

Just beat Nightmare with my Witch Doctor at level 50
I switched around a couple of skills during the 18 or so levels I was in there. Through Act III and Act IV I had one major build I stuck with most times.

Firebomb (Roll the Bones)
Zombie Charger (Explosive Beast)
Spirit Walk (Honored Guest)
Soul Harvest (Siphon)
Zombie Wall (Pile On)
Gargantuan (Restless Giant)

Hrm. From drops, I've only seen stuff that is +5-10 so far, so I just assumed that the modifier was negligible.+DMG will get you better results than straight DEX. 300 DPS is low for a 34. You should have about double that. +DMG is common on rings, and you want to make sure you have it on weapons - all the best weapons will have a +DMG modifier.
Hmm, have I missed something with the game?! In the talent calculator (and in your description) the right mouse button has Decay skills and there are Decay skills on your 3 button. What I mean is that you have double Decay skills...?
No way I can get both Zombie Charger and Zombie Wall.

Is it a matter of trying to get DEX as high as possible? Given that there's still higher level gear to get, I'm not willing to pay more than 15k gold for a piece of equipment and the pickings are pretty slim.
that's all you'll see from +dmg at level 34. In my opinion, finding decent dps items (preferably with a gem slot) with high dex (priority) and vit (if you can find something with both) are what you want.Hrm. pickings should be anything but slim. search magical and rare items. limit the price. specify a minimum amount of dexterity. if you don't see many results, drop the dexterity limit by 10 and search again. Look for Amulets, Rings, hats, armor and weapons that have higher dex than you currently have on your monk. The more dex, damage and vitality you can find, the faster your damage ramps up.

It's multiplicative in a hard to understand way. The point is that +DMG is much more powerful per point than DEX. A couple points of +DMG will probably be worth more DPS than 30+ points of DEX (or whatever primary stat.)
The trick of it is that that 5-10 gets multiplied by your attribute bonus, so it comes out to much more than just 5-10.
