Check it's stats against other Gesture of Orpheus's on the AH. If it's higher than them, probably a lot. If it's in the middle of the pack, God knows. It's a Wizard staff with over a 100 to int, as well as increased attack speed. It seems great, but I'm not a Wizard, so take that with a grain of salt.

Hell :)

Fuck dude awesome.

Thanks :D, I had a boring run with like 2 blues and 0 yellows during 1h of playtime and all of the sudden that drops.

Thanks, will do.

Interesting. Could be an OK build (I haven't tried it ha), but remember you can't switch builds at 60 if you want to keep your MF buff up!

This is what I'm running. The only thing that's up for grabs is the Marked for Death rune. I can't decide on Valley of Death, Grim Reaper, or Mortal Enemy.

I'd say grim for regular, mortal for bosses. Too much kiting for valley to be usable.

Dh lv54, I played act2 hell killed every elite/champion pack with the worst mod waller/arcane/jailer/invincible/shield... perma smoke screen for the win + passive sharpshooter.

How are people enjoying their wizards?
I'm a Diablo noob and I rolled one as my first. Halfway through Act 1 and mostly enjoying it, but I hear some people say Wizards aren't great.

What's the verdict on their overall playability throughout the game?

Yeah, that's actually what I was doing before. In parties, Valley is awesome, but solo is different. My only concern is, like I said, losing the MF buff. I want to find something that works without having to change runes, ha. We shall see!

Still working on Act I (I think; Does it end after you've defeated the boss?), but haven't had any issues so far.

I'd say anything with shield is ridiculous. Also, shield paired with any movement impairing + arcane/molten/bombardier (the fire bomb one?).

We fought a named Elite in Act 4 last night...Xalax. I will forever remember Xalax.

He was casting meteor with his group EVERYWHERE, dropping desecration puddles that just shit on our health (literally could not see the ground), and another pack was next to him that had fast/molten/bombardier. It was the most miserable thing.

Dear Blizzard, I know you might read this here.

Please give us skill loadout option for our characters, like the item loadouts on TF2.

Disintegrate is so much fun. I had a blast playing with him on my first run.

It's insane, for just 50k you could buy loot on the AH which makes nightmare a cakewalk. A total cakewalk. From now on I'll just try to behave like AH doesn't exist. :(

4.7k dps on my wizard lvl53. Good or bad? I've already got a 300dps staff I'm finding it hard to get higher but my DH friend around the same level has so much more dps (~6k I think?)

DH will probably always have a raw dps advantage if equally geared. Dont be jealous of him though, your survivability is likely better than his.

Edit: Beaten, but the AH wont save you much come Hell.

Curious to see how it works with my melee build, since I'm in the thick of enemies anyway.

Valley is good for groups, definitely. If you KNOW you're going to be single-target solo, marked would benefit you.

Also, my skill build was wrong!

I don't know why, but I forgot to switch the Grenade Passive for Sharpshooter (which is AMAZING).

My friend's wizard almost never dies. The FEW times he dies are because we get swarmed by two packs of shitty elite/named mobs.

23 hour later, I beat the game with a 33 Wizard. Though I had to coop the game when
I had to fight Diablo.
I thought Nightmare was easy at the start, until I hit some blue and gold monsters, died a number of times on them. When do greens drop? Hell? I haven't seen those and orange obviously, but am guessing those don't drop until Inferno. Wallers are fucking annoying. :/

Act 1 Normal, playing coop, I got an orange belt. 1 day later my friend got the same belt.

We are really playing it slow and are only at act 2 normal, near the end I think. Haven't gotten anymore orange though. Maybe we got lucky.

Yeah a good Magic Find will cause blues to drop almost every time and often more than whites even on Normal, and rares have more frequent chances to drop from Champion/Elite mobs and random sets of enemies, chests, barrels, etc. Combine selling those off with having a high Gold Find and you can gather a lot of money quickly. With a good GF stat most mobs become a spurting fountain of gold.

As pointed out earlier though you have to be wary when grouping with other players, as those values are averaged out across the group.

Wasn't aware of that. I've been playing solo so far, so when I make the jump it will be nice to know.

Sharpshooter is really really bad. You pretty much only get 3% crit. Demon hunters crit pretty often, so that things going to reset like mad. I'd be surprised if it ever gets higher than 10% in fights. Even then... all it does is give you a single 50% damage increase for one hit... woo?

Considering MF is averaged out and leveling solo is so much faster, it's almost as if they encourage playing alone...

I also really hope they release PVP soon. I don't see everyone sticking around grinding inferno for so long.. They should have at least included dueling

How high does MF have to be to get rares to drop every few mobs? I'm getting one or two now during each run picking up all blues at 42%

For some reason the game loves me thus time around and is throwing DH weapons my way at a startling rate

Having a great time with my sorceress ♥ Just started act 3 :3

So i am cleaning my stash and decided to see if any gaffers need any of this stuff before i break it for mats or sell.

Gloves level 21: Armor 60, +71 INT, +58 VIT

Bow level 47: 184.8 DPS +34-75 lightning dmg, +74 dex, +28 vit

Shoulders level 32: 108armor, +47int, +48vit

Belt level 30: Armor 77, +33int, +36vit

Chest level 20: Armor 78, +32str, +35int w/ 2 +26int gems

Globe level 32: +63int and a few minor stats i didn't write down

few other items you can PM me here or styl3s#1930

I also have a stash full of mats ill be crafting, my buds are already geared up and getting to 60 so i figured maybe some new players to D3 that need some items can have em, if not that's cool and ill get mats off em. I usually have a stash full of crap every day i empty.

I don't know, when I channel Rapid Fire, I definitely see more crits with Sharpshooter on than not. It's all personal taste, but it seems to be the best passive available that I haven't used, haha.

Having horrible luck with loot during Nightmare. :| A bit better luck with my past few runs, but I'm tempted to buy some stuff off the auction house. I've seen some good pieces for buyout 5k-8k.

I dunno if it was a bug but the last boss kept saying the same thing over and over. Could they not have given more lines lol?

I mean the battle went on for a couple minutes cause I had to kite since I was pretty underpowered but still...

Whose great idea was it to have elite mobs that literally cannot be beat. Literally.

Seriously, Hell mode is crazy. I don't want to think about Inferno elites. Today we ran into a mob with those arcane beam trap thingies, reflect damage, and invulnerable minions. What the fuck!?

So bizarre that all the pre-release surveys had the majority rocking the barbs, but they are a rare bread in game, and even on GAF.

Honestly though, out of the three characters I've gone through with NM and beyond, they're the trickiest and most gear dependent - so it makes sense.

Whose great idea was it to have elite mobs that literally cannot be beat. Literally.

I've quit games and created new ones just to reroll champion pack attributes. Some of them just aren't worth the frustration.

Wizard has a lot of versatility, and I think at the moment is the best for soloing Inferno.

What the hell, I just beat the Spider boss in Act 1 of Nightmare and when I tried to join a public game again, I was sent to the beginning of Act 2. This shouldn't be possible, should it?
