D2 itemization wasn't good either.

Anyone remember Amazons looking for 3 socket bows, gemming them with 3 emeralds and owning?

At one point that was better than any unique/set item.

Playing the Auction House is kind of fun and addicting. Trying to strategize and see what I can flip for twice the amount in just a few minutes is amazing and simple.

I know this is blasphemous but... I really wish there was controller support.

Left click for both attack and move is really starting to get to me.

I think I would be happy even with moving with WASD or something. I don't want to click to move. I haven't played a click to move game since like late 1990's or something. I don't like it and it's even worse when attack and move are on the same button. So often I move when I mean to attack because I'm not super precise. Or I attack when I want to move because the screen is full of enemies.
I feel like I don't have control and it's frustrating.

I kind of hope they can release new content every 6 months but that's just wishfull thinking.

It was explicitly stated this will not be happening. D3 patches will pretty much exclusively be balance/bugs and items. No significant content additions other than xpacs.

Wish they'd increase the amount of stats you can search on... i want a very specific piece...

God, this. I wanted a socketed weapon with DEX, VIT, and IAS%. Damn you game!

Also, can we please not search for items with gems socketed? Searching for GF%/MF% Helms with a socket is kind of awful :/

Bind move to middle-mouse? I just adapted but I'm still worried I'll die to it on my HC Wizard when kiting :(

Oh I mean payed content every 6 months :P

I'd rather have 2 years with 4 mini payed expansions, then waiting 2 years for one big one.

If they can create AH divisions by creating ladders or leagues, it will allow them to up the item drop rates for legendaries and set items. Either way I think they should definitely buff the legendaries and the more interesting mods, I think everyone agrees on that point.

That fixes one issue (attacking when I mean to move), but doesn't fix moving when I mean to attack. If I could un-bind move from the left mouse button, it would work.

It would all be better if I could just use a controller though. It can be like that Obsidian developed, Square published Diablo clone from a bit back.

WD level 55, 23k hp and 6,4k dps.
love AH. :3
not only 'cause I can find great items at less than 100k but also 'cause I can buy good items at 20k and sell them at 60k.

I have to say I'm enjoying nightmare much more than normal. I actually have to be careful about what I'm doing and equipments make a huge difference. Loots are much better too.

I agree with this completely. I really think the game would have been much better if it ramped up to Nightmare more quickly. It's still not very hard, but the drops and occasional challenge add a lot.

Where? This is already false since we know the PVP system is coming in a patch soon. While I'm definitely not expecting WoW levels of content patching (there's a joke in there... somewhere...), there could be 1.10 style patches.

Reduced levels is such a great weapon attribute, and people undervalue it. Just got a 250DPS Bow that can be equipped at 45 for 40k.

Hey that's my strategy.... :(

Man, I was so sad when I saw such a perfect 750+ dps bow for sale for 50k, and someone bought it right before I hit click.

Okay, thank you. I will try to get used to it. Having to hold an extra button just to attack seems really annoying. But I'll try.

If you have certain gaming mice you could bind the left mouse button to Shift + Left Click through the mouse software.

... You'd then have to bind yet another key to the normal Left Click to pick stuff up/start quests/etc.

t’s important to understand that Diablo is not World of Warcraft, meaning that there will be no major content patches with new dungeons, or bosses, or enemies. We have plans on patching in PvP of course, but in general the only ‘content’ we would patch in would most likely just be new items.

Diablo III will see patches to adjust things like game balance and potential system improvements, but any actual content additions is not something you should expect to see.

The purpose of the randomized dungeons and items in any Diablo game is to provide an endless amount out of content right out of the box.

That's perhaps bad design wise, but other than that it doesn't matter at all. In a sense, the legendary items will be those 0.001% rares with perfect rolls and that's not different at all.
The solution to this dilemma clearly is to give perfect roll Rares different colored text.
I vote for purple.
We can call them Uber items.
Everyone is now happy.

I'm curious how the RMAH will be demarcated from the gold AH. I hope the two systems are kept entirely separate so that tweaks to the AH will still be feasible once the real money shit rolls in.

"Buyout"

"Bid Failed"

"fuckity fuck."

So Here's my Demon Hunter. Any other DH's, what do you think of my current stat ratings? should I be focusing more on Vitality? Also, I need some tips for choosing passive skills. They all seem negligible when I read the descriptions.

So haven't had time to play too darn much in the last week, but from what I've gathered Blizzard has pulled a switcheroo? Now gold is everything and items are nothing? Well, I know there's no point of gold without items, but it seems gathering gold and moving to the AH is the only way to go? Is crafting useful in the slightest? I guess it at least makes use of the salvaged materials you make. Then you can go and sell the crafted item in the AH.

I have a quick question: If I buy Diablo and load it to my desktop comp, would I also be able to load it on to my laptop?

Yep. You can put it on as many comps as you like since you need to login with your unique account to play :)

Gold farming seems the most efficient now... but if everyone starts doing that the economy will flip flop the other way ;)

Crafting isn't bad, per se, it's that you can get comparable (or better) drops anyway AND they get put on the AH for around your crafting costs anyway. If you don't plan to use the AH, crafting is perfectly fine though. I use it occasionally if I have an item that needs upgrading and I don't feel like heading to the AH.

So I just noticed something(been absent minded lately) but gear with magic find doesn't seem to drop on hell and higher difficulties, or has it become really scarce?

Just bind a key to 'move'. I have control + left click for forcing move even when clickin on enemies. Useful for when you want to walk into a crowd on the edge of the screen to set off a AoE spell that originates from your character.

It honestly feels really natural once you start doing it.

Thank you.
I just have a normal mouse, so I don't think I can do some special software stuff.

I'm sure I'll get used to this though. I'll try different things until I find something comfortable enough.

Thank you for all the suggestions.

Just finished nightmare, went to check out hell. This was the second magic item that dropped for me. It single-handedly raised my damage by 2300 points.

God damn. And here I thought my old axe was still pretty damn awesome.

Would this thing be worth something or is all the loot in hell jacked up greatly?

It's useful insofar as my crafting mats sell instantly on the AH.

Hah, yeah I hate that sinking feeling when you knew something was a great deal, but you hesitated for more than the few seconds it takes for someone else to do it.

I haven't tried anything that large yet. I'm mostly flipping the stuff people are putting on here for ridiculously low prices just to get rid of them. I'm finding the anomalies in the listings. Things listed for 3,000 but everything else around it is 20,000 on the first page. Buy, flip for 15,000-19,000 or so, and watch the money come in almost immediately after it goes through the 5 minute wait.

shift click for everything!

For low level, if you want to do more damage focus on +damage and aspd more so than your primary stat (dex). You also don't need too much vit, though it won't hurt anything. You shouldn't have any troubles staying alive, even if you solo (and use a follower - templar)

D2 itemization WAS good though. I think I remember the emerald glitch, but I'm pretty sure it was just a glitch, not a design choice (similar to the eth rune glitch that made it ignore all armor instead of a percentage).

Somebody up further said it best: It's more fun to fight a boss and see that gold crusader bow drop, than to see a bunch of yellows that just MIGHT be good. Each boss kill in D2 was a slot machine, you either won or you lost, but you knew the moment those wheels stopped spinning what happened. In D3 it's: The pinata popped, oh, some candy dropped, oh, it's rotten.

Wait, there are random dungeons in this game? Could've fooled me.

I found crafting useful to get a solid initial set of gear in normal but once you get to Nightmare and you get more gold AH was better.
