Honestly, AH, a major feature of the game, sucking like this and lacking ways to sort and such is really disturbing to me.
I really wonder if they made a design decision to limit the Auction House, at least in the early going, so that people don't focus on it entirely. The 10 item limit plus the inability to sort by time/current price really limits usability to an extent, but it's still functional.

Anyone with AMD/ATI able to force better AA through CC? Tried, but doesn't seem to work. Framerate and GPUs usage increases, but graphics show no improvement and are still jaggies.

Downsample from 1440p instead of messing with CCC. I don't recommend messing with CCC for any game. Check out RadeonPro if you want to mess with settings like that.

Inferno act 2 champions as a wizard is impossible.

Banner rushing, the first thing I'm gonna do tomorrow.

I think the 10 limit was to try and force people to put items up at "reasonable" prices so things sell. If you can put things up infinitely then there's no cost to auctions. I like it better than a listing fee, personally.

Fellow monks...

What skill set are you using in inferno act 2+?

I had just gotten through act 1 yesterday using the MOH:BOP quickening skills. I feel a bit lost now though.

For everyone commenting on the blur in-game: D3 uses a post-process anti-aliasing technique (perhaps FXAA, and if not something very similar). Instead of anti-aliasing specific pixels, PP AA simply blurs the entire image. In terms of performance it's super low, but because of the game's zoomed out perspective detail gets absolutely annihilated (zoom in on your character and try to see the specific laces and buckles on a pair of boots).

People are pointing to Dark3D as an alternative, which is also a PP technique. Where it differentiates itself is that it's a configurable FXAA injector, allowing you to sharpen or apply other filters in addition to completely changing the color of the game.

If you don't mind the game's aesthetics I would instead suggest disabling the in-game PP AA and using proper multisample anti-aliasing. If you've got anything other than a decrepit system this shouldn't pose a problem performance-wise. This will give you true 1:1 texture clarity and provide a superior level of anti-aliasing (have found that textures with baked in specularity, like the Waypoints, look incredible without a PP blur applied).

On NVIDIA systems download NVIDIA Inspector: http://downloads.guru3d.com/NVIDIA-Inspector-1.94-download-2612.html

Then set up your profile as shown and disable the in-game AA option:

If you have performance issues with 8xQ MSAA simply lower the value.

On AMD systems, ask someone who has an AMD video card, because I haven't got a clue :)

Man what gives? I tried setting 8x, 4x, and 2x multisampling using this method through inspector. And while it certainly is playable, at times it drops to 40-50 FPS which - IMO - is unacceptable given I can run max almost everything out there.

My system:

i7 920 OC to 3.9Ghz
GTX 580
12GB RAM

Running vsync/triple buffering through D3DOverrider. I tried disabling this to see if that would affect anything and it hasn't really. What's strange with D3 is that it might be saying it's consistently around 60 FPS (using FRAPS) but there are these TINY jumps in the frames occasionally that are really annoying. It's like a very subtle jitter effect as I run. What I also find strange is this game runs my GPU at 99% constantly. It's kind of ridiculous seeing that it's BARELY using my CPU cores.

Does anyone have any suggestions to make this AA solution work better? Am I the only one who's video card is put under such heavy load with this game?

And we had to click to pick up gold, and we had to use scrolls to get to town/identify items... while walking up hills both ways in the snow.
We had to craft our items ourselves, we had to remember recipes that didn't come on fancy pages that dropped from monsters, we also had to drop in some serious stuff to unsocket equipment and once we picked a skill build we stuck to it GOD DAMN IT.

Someone needs to bid my my damn Lidless Eye.

Market prices are so hard to figure out on stuff like this. Doesn't help AH is timing out everything.

Now that my girl is nerfed, I need to rethink my build a bit. At least we were able to kill Inferno Diablo in time :)

Thanks Shouta! And Hazard!

No probs! I get the win too so woohoo! It'll probably take me a long road of nerfs/buffs/adjustments before I'll be able to beat Inferno Diablo again so I'm glad I got in one on him now. Would have been funny if we had recorded it though.

Oh, yeah? Well we used to walk everywhere in Diablo I!

WALK! It took days!

Has the whole Quickening thing been nerfed/fixed along with adjusting that other skill for Monks? Because things seem to be working out a lot worse for me now and it doesn't seem like I'm getting back nearly as much spirit as I used to...

They can't nerf it yet, I'm not done with Inferno.

You build for IAS/Crit and make sacrifices for that. Leave me alone Blizzard >:[

They nerfed MOH and quickening

MOH now heals for half of what it used to and now boon doesn't give 15% anymore.

I can't beat Act 1 on Hell and all the gear that could improve my stats cost way too much (I've never had more than 35,000 gold at any given moment and a single piece of armour costs 80,000 if not more).

I'm not sure what to do. Dying and retrying with my current gear is frustrating and farming for gold defeats the purpose of a game to me so I won't do it.

No way should that gear cost so much... I geared myself for Inferno with <30k per item.

This game is all about grinding gear and gold.

I had the same problem as you until I nabbef some decent pieces.

I recommend grouping until you find gear.

"I feel like I can't play my character without the AH."

And people say D3 isn't broken.

It isn't. Somewhere a press statement about the popularity of the AH being a great advancement is being crafted, while they conveniently overlook that it is all the lvl4x garbage that is driving people to the auction house.

Then farm for gear.

Very odd. Got the latest drivers? Nothing else running in the background that might affect it? My frame rate has remained at 60 at all times.

This is some meta statement about the euro, isn't it?

Wait, really?

I haven't played today. I know they were nerfing BoP....they nerfed the regular MoH as well? I never used the boon thing but I use MoH all the time. This sucks if true.

Yep. Mine used to do 1200 or so on activation and now its at 600.

Blizzard never ceases to amaze me.

How are people always broke? The game rains cash down on you. Just playing through either solo or coop should net you tens of thousands every session.

Similar issue for me. Using 2 x GTX580 in Sli and when I use Inpector with those settings, the game runs like ass.

Try disabling the ambient occlusion thingy, it helps a little bit with the performance. Anyways, I decided not to use the inspector settings for the moment. Maybe the AA flag is not the optimal one.
