Depends on how much damage you do, I think.
If your damage is only ~1.5k in nightmare, and you have ~3% leech, that's like 45 health healed per hit. Given that you probably have ~10k hp, that's ~.5% of your total health. If you have to fight hard hitting champions and rares, it's probably not worth it at this point.
Is life steal and life added per hit instant? or do they have like a 3 second heal time.

I like autumn on my monk. I always had a thing for Final Fantasy XI's Monk, actually I think that's the game that made me like Monks.

and they can't be bothered to filter that information client side? I didn't ask why am i getting data for things that have sold, I want to know why the game can't filter them out of my list.

What I love is filtering by your parameters (let's say a bow, +dex, +vita, 100k gold) and seeing some glorious high DPS/stat bow that sold for that price. You could have resold it for 500k+, but noooo.

I sell all my shit pretty cheap... although lately no one buys it regardless. :lol I wish I could can my auctions without waiting the full duration.

I'm pretty sure it's instant. That's at least given how instantaneously my health goes up after I use my revenge skill on my barbarian.

Also, given the hit and run tactics that you'll probably have to play out as a melee characte, I'd recommend going with +hp regen over life steal. I have about 2% hp reg/sec, and it's added a lot to my survivability in nm.

My vitality is so bad right now I put on a +40 vit. piece and my HP almost doubled at level 49 -.-

I guess I should focus a bit less on str and more on combo pieces.

Surely I cannot be the only one with the obsession of dying my armor all the same color every time I get a new piece.

I have a common colour scheme I use in games. I don't know about anyone else but does forester green look nearly identical to Spring Green? I know foresters is slightly darker but from the colour of its jar I expected a much deeper green :(

If it's not in the top couple of pages, it's probably not going to sell. If it's more than similar items, it's not going to sell.

As far as I can tell, hp regen scales a LOT better in inferno as well. I barely notice life leech at all even with ignore pain and the 20% leech. I'm barely leeching considering I deal an average of 60k damage in the 5 seconds.

It's only bad if you're actually dying because of it.

Im on act 3 nightmare and its starting to get to the point where I can easily die if Im not destroying shit quickly. I have like 2,700 hp at the moment so alot of shit hurts my health lol. Just too lazy to AH for more gear since my drops are always horrible.

I stopped listing blues completely. They don't really sell anymore, at any price. The AH is just way too saturated with that stuff and if people only want 2 mods they can just be patient and find one for like 5k

Hah, that's pretty crazy to hear. I would have thought that leech with those numbers would make the game a cake walk. I guess I'll be sticking to my warcry with invigorate and inspiring presence passive for a while then.

Any advice on improving gear for Nightmare?

I feel like 60-70% magic find during most of normal did me no good. Crafting sucks balls.

I see wizards and shit with 800 dps.

Blues are some of the best items in the game in Inferno.

Everything is all gone! My account was hacked :(

I just found out about the authenticator yesterday but didn't install it quick enough. I'm not sure how it happened really. From what I read, the Diablo Wiki could be a source? Other than that I have no idea where someone could get my password. Hopefully everything can be recovered on my account. Until then, back to SCII...

Unless you logged into the official website from the iwki, probably not.

At any rate, I'd suggest that the title for OT3 be "USE AN AUTHENTICATOR." :\

Cheap stuff in the AH goes FAST. I refreshed (every couple of seconds) and a decent item appeared. By the time I had made sure it was priced low enough to be worth it (after the 15%) it was gone.

I'm also learning that AH updates come in chunks. Individual items don't appear one by one.

I haven't been home for the past 2 days so I haven't played at all. Logged on today and all my gold and items were gone, 600K down the drain. Thanks Blizzard.

Hardcore is how this game is meant to be played. Oh my god.

Yes, Hardcore with 300+ ms latency and bouncing around all over the place is how it was meant to be played.

No thanks. I'm raging enough on Hell. The last thing I want to do is lose all my progress because of a latency death.

If blizzard made a portable AH smartphone app my productivity would reach dangerously low levels...

no matter how crappy the item, legendaries seemingly still sell for 100,000+ it seems (yay)

who the hell buys this stuff

I dunno. I put up a super-ass legendary for like 100k a few days ago and it sold in under a minute.

I'm selling all the crappy legendarys I can before more people start getting wise that they're paying a premium just because the name is a fancy color.

Lately I've been wishing this game was Diablo 2 with D3's graphics etc. The itemization is just terrible right now, the feeling you got in D2 when an awesome rare or unique dropped just isn't even happening for me, and when it does, I'm getting wands with strength.

Just started Hell, about a quarter through Act 1 I learned a pretty hard lesson: elemental resistance neglect just ain't gonna fly. Got all all resists to about 41% now, not terrible but I need to keep going.

Edit: Also, have not once had anything above rare items drop. :|

I should do this with my Hammer Jammer's, but I hate to give them up.

I just made 50k in about three minutes buying and selling a blue item though, so I hate to give up something unique for nothing. I LOVE that they got rid of the flipping timer (where you couldn't sell an item you'd just bought).

I mean to say that HC makes almost everything way more useful because your goal is not strictly going for DPS, it's surviving. Some skills\items seem even bizarre in their usefulness until you understand death is no longer a simple inconvenience like it is in SC. Everything just feels dangerous and risky and it's great. Latency is a piss off but that's not going change especially since I play with others in HC.

armor damage reduction works against all sources of damage - resistance is against specific damage types and stacks with armor

the D3 stat system is so weird
