Yeah and a slightly longer heal thanks to gaining 100 HP per SP spent. Both Sweeping Wind and SSS can be changed with other attacks. I'm partial to Exploding Palm for my Right Mouse button, for example but Wave of Light can be very nice as well. It's important to have some high Spirit Cost as a heal if you have a good Spirit Life Gain ratio. I'm gonna keep my eye out for more of those as well =o.

I personally think it's stupid that a monk has better defense holding a huge shield instead of making himself more agile when dual wielding.
Monks should probably get a dodge bonus when not using a shield to make playing like a monk and not a tank statistically more viable and attractive. When you do the math, that 15% attack speed bonus for DW loses it's value a bit if you have many IAS items. So many monks live with the shield for the defense and don't lose a considerable amount of damage output.

Still think |OT3| Enable Elective Mode would be the most helpful if we want to go the serious route.
Yeah, I nabbed +20 on a ~900 DPS Staff which will be nice. Looking forward to getting more of that stat too.
WoL's Knockback saved my ass a lot, surprisingly, in the last bits of my grind to 60. Good stuff that one. I'll try SSS some later to see how I like it since I really, really want to like that skill.

Because dodge is a shitty defense mechanic.
From what I've played, you just have to get incredibly lucky on stat rolls for gear to help push little by little through the Inferno content. That's exactly as it should be.

Playing Wiz on Act III. 56,000+ damage. He's just...dying perpetually. Not sure how much health he has (says Vitality: 911, so I think about 35,000), but his items are clearly ridiculous. Regardless, he's getting one-shotted constantly. Christ.
Oh, and he's somehow amassed $24,000,000+.
Oh, and he just found his first Legendary. His staff is doing 1200 damage or so, so I assume he just must have stupid int on everything else.

I am glad Inferno seems "undoable" with some builds right now. People just did not found the proper equipment yet methinks. You cannot speed up the RNG God in Diablo universe after all.

This is a very important point until it gets fixed. Should be read by everyone considering buying IAS items.
Is that before or after whatever you paid for the game itself?
Bosses aren't good for farming items.
I guess so. In normal the guy had a load of loot, I'm sure I counted at least 2 yellows. Do none of them drop good loot past normal?
The best item I've ever found came out of a regular white enemy. I've gotten pretty much nothing but junk loot from every boss I've downed.

Now you know where I end up in every MMO I've played.
I'm starting to really hate the in-game videos/cut scenes. I would love an option to disable/skip all of them. Act 4 is especially annoying:
Just as you enter, the game takes over controls and does a slow zoom out
Hit esc, confirm and wait while the game zooms in again and enables your controls
At some point during the fight you again get removed from the game
Hit esc, confirm, wait until you can start moving again
Defeat the "mini" boss and you get taken out of the game again
Back upstairs you again get to wait while the game goes through its BS animations
Defeat diablo, get a quest complete box that takes up your bottom screen
Then watch some video
D2 got it right, no garbage to distract you and/or kill your flow. Diablo is one smooth fight from the point you enter the church until you kill diablo. But instead we get some sort of FF/Wow type end boss fight. Doesn't feel like diablo at all and just feels wrong.

I'm about 3/4 through Act 1 and still only have the blacksmith artisan. I haven't missed a gem artisan yet, have I? I haven't seen any socketed items yet but it seems like I'm getting close to the end game of the first act.

I got all my good items, (at least in normal) from Champion/elite mobs... bosses rarely dropped anything good... Even the 4 rares i got from Diablo were basically useless

I ran through AZ a number of times (solo style) and I'd say after a good dozen or so kills I saw a yellow pop out of his fat ass. That was... unexpected.
Jewelcrafter doesn't appear until Act II.

Don't expect good loot from bosses. When me and my friends did Act 4 Nightmare twice in a row, none of us got a single yellow from the last boss.

He also happens to be the most interesting/best voiced character in the game with his four to seven lines of dialog.
I've found that bosses are pretty consistant in giving me 2-3 rares when I have 5 stacks of the valor buff up. Been running the last bit of Act 3 on Hell to get some AH fodder to make money in order to buy better stuff off the AH. That and selling anywhere from 40-60 blues and a couple more rares from the mobs nets me around 40k-ish gold for about 45 minutes of work?
Anyone got a better place to do this? Also, would Act 4 give me better loot or am I just going to get about the same from farming Act 3?

Agreed. I do hope they flesh his skills out more later down the line and get him making Skulls and stuff.
I'm partial to the Paladin. He's such an enormous cheeseball. But Shen is good too.
