Best part of the whole movie - I'm glad that Norton didn't come back.
True, and I never would have called that. An unexpected gem.
Loved he and Stark cruising out together in the science bro-mobile at the end, too.
Even 4 times deep, the art design and animation of that moment (and the whole tracking shot it's a part of) still just blew me away. I hope those 20 seconds or whatever are analyzed for years and years to come as the right way to shoot epic action. The shield cross-beam is still my favorite moment in the movie; can't wait for an HD gif.

You have a link? Feige says that it was Whedon who approached him to switch actors, and that Ruffalo was Whedon's first choice.
Then doesn't that mean he failed as an actor? Banner is supposed to be sort of crazy. the whole inferiority complex / split personality thing is sort of important.

Not really. Bruce still felt a little unhinged, mistrusting, and obviously scared of the Hulk. But there was also a side of him that came across as a really nice person with a knack for good self-deprecating humor, which obviously stemmed from his having made peace with the Hulk being part of him. I mean, does Bruce really have to be nothing but self-loathing and crazy?

Assuming Joss has a say in casting for all the side films now, I won't be surprised at all of Fillion gets cast in something.
Noooo. Watch a couple episodes of the 70s show. Ignore the cheesy Hulk effects and pay attention to how Bill Bixby plays Banner.
This self-confident but still wary banner was far more interesting than most other incarnations i've seen.

The Ultimates 1 and 2 are quite good.

Ultimates 1, great. 2...not so much.
I feel like his "cool" demeanor was actually a brillaint call by Ruffalo. He has to be cool, calm and collected. Because he couldn't risk be anything else.
Maybe Nathan Fillion assumed because of Whedon, and wasn't Eva Longoria photographed leaving Marvel offices with some comics in hand or something?

Only Ultimates 3 was really bad. Ultimates 1 and 2 were more adult and smartly written.
