True, and I never would have called that. An unexpected gem.Best part of the whole movie - I'm glad that Norton didn't come back.
Even 4 times deep, the art design and animation of that moment (and the whole tracking shot it's a part of) still just blew me away. I hope those 20 seconds or whatever are analyzed for years and years to come as the right way to shoot epic action. The shield cross-beam is still my favorite moment in the movie; can't wait for an HD gif.I didn't realize the Cap + Iron Man team-up resulted in the beam splitting in multiple ways :0
Yeah, I vaguely remember that. Trying to picture every Ruffalo scene in this with Norton instead..... it's difficult.Man, it seemed like every thread we had leading up to the Avengers had people bitching about Norton not coming back.
Good call, Whedon!
There were also rumors that Marvel was looking at Joaquin Phoenix for the role of Bruce Banner. That would've been interesting.
What? Now Devin Faraci from CHUD is reporting that...."Reliable sources tell me that Marvel has already put out an offer, and the actor they've spoken to is Joaquin Phoenix, believe it or not. Phoenix is taking time to mull over the offer and the bigger implications - Marvel may yet resurrect the Hulk franchise - but Marvel hopes to have him in place by Comic Con, which is when they want to announce their new Bruce Banner."
CHUD goes on to say that..."I'm hearing that whoever plays Banner will be the lowest man on The Avengers pay totem pole. And if Phoenix doesn't take the part, Marvel will quickly go to someone else."
With Joss Whedon directing, The Avengers supposedly begins production February 2011 with Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) confirmed. And Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Nathan Fillion (Ant-Man), and Eva Longoria (Wasp) unannounced. The film hits theaters May 4, 2012.
Ruffalo's Banner was such a cool, nice guy. I was in the theater like "I want to hang out with Bruce Banner. I bet we could be bros."
Nathan Fillion (Ant-Man), and Eva Longoria (Wasp) unannounced.
That's what I said. This is the first I've ever heard of anyone thinking Ant-Man and Wasp were going to be in this film, let alone anyone being cast as them. What?
Not really. Bruce still felt a little unhinged, mistrusting, and obviously scared of the Hulk. But there was also a side of him that came across as a really nice person with a knack for good self-deprecating humor, which obviously stemmed from his having made peace with the Hulk being part of him. I mean, does Bruce really have to be nothing but self-loathing and crazy? Then doesn't that mean he failed as an actor? Banner is supposed to be sort of crazy. the whole inferiority complex / split personality thing is sort of important.

I do blame the director and producers and script writers and even the studio but Reynolds wasn't the right choice at all for the film.

Ultimate Hulk motherfucking eats people. We have enough of that going on in real life at the moment![]()

Ultimate Hulk, ladies and gents.
It really would. Maybe a bit too old, but he would challenge RDJ's ego real nicely, which fits prefect with the characters of course.Nathan Fillion as Ant-Man would be so good.
Your opinion sucks.Man, the Ultimates really suck.
The Ultimates 1 and 2 are quite good.
The only people that think it suck seem to be diehard 616 fanboys because omg it isn't faithful to how the characters act in the 616 verse omg noooo.

Maybe Nathan Fillion assumed because of Whedon, and wasn't Eva Longoria photographed leaving Marvel offices with some comics in hand or something?
He would have. The frame I posted he ate some people for criticizing his choice of vegan protein (irony!).So that's creepy stalker rapist Hulk, but what about cannibal Hulk? Because now I'm morbidly curious.
Does he eat Freddie Prinze Jr?
Joss Whedon:I'm not really sure how they can surpass this film in epic scale with a sequel.
By not trying to. By being smaller. More personal, more painful. By being the next thing that should happen to these characters, and not just a rehash of what seemed to work the first time. By having a theme that is completely fresh and organic to itself.
This self-confident but still wary banner was far more interesting than most other incarnations i've seen.

He is a flawless choice. And I'm not even a Firefly fan boy.Nathan Fillion as Ant-Man would be so good.
I'm assuming that's based on the Incredible Hulk model.
The model of Ang Lee's Hulk at Madame Tussauds is one of my favorite things ever.
