Well I ended up buying Plus earlier just in case something good comes up. Even if it doesn't, between my PS3 and Vita I'm sure I'll end up using it somehow.

wouldnt be surprised if they tried to sneakly push something like this. Not to that extent of course, lol, but something to tackle the Xbla market.

I'm already pretty gun shy buying non-exclusive XBLA games since joining PS+.
I'm in the UK and the reason I've gone with it is because the tweet came from a SCEE guy and not SCEA. That would surely mean that whatever this is it is a worldwide deal or at the very least SCEE and SCEA.

Wasn't the tweet that started all the hype originally from a guy who works on the EU store? Pretty sure it was, so any announcements should apply to both the US and the EU.

Go for a three month sub, so if the announcement isn't what good/doesn't apply to the EU, you won't have lost out on too much and you'll have gained some fine games to play in the mean time.
Awesomenauts, while not to my tastes is pretty good. Rock of Ages is also pretty good, but not to my tastes.

I was thinking of signing up for the summer anyway, so I just did it now and grabbed the things I wanted from May. It is the discounts I'm most interested in. Hope they implement a system to buy the free stuff that is tied to my subscription at heavy discount (e.g. Max Payne this month).
Rock of Ages is US only I believe.
Unless you really don't have a backlog and want potentially new games, I wouldn't recommend it.

I had this crazy dream last night that Kaz was on stage and announced a Vita price drop to $199 bundled with a 4 GB card and a free copy of Ridge Racer in a way only Kaz could pull off. One could only wish this happened
I've really loved my PS+ so far. The auto-update/saves have been great (although it would be nicer if they worked a bit more effectively) as somebody who plays on two different PS3's on a regular basis and the free games have been getting progressively better as time has gone by.
Out of all the things to come out of E3 the thing I'm most curious about is the changes to an optional club service. I should probably prepare myself to be massively disappointed just in case.
Really am hoping there is a reason to be a PS+ member if you own a Vita. Because essentially there has been almost nothing so far.

I have a Vita, so I jumped on board. I'm pleased to see a lot of free goodies already (Trine 2, Awesomenauts, etc.).

My guess is any existing subs prior to conference will get to beta test something. New subs wait ~2 weeks.
the clue is 'Never Stop Playing' - PS+ get online 24/7 non PS+ have restrictions
maybe it means if you aren't playing games all the time you will be barred from sony playstations.

It's not really the same thing as XBL Gold. Playstation Plus is a bonus as the regular service is free and will remain free on the PS3. I can't imagine Sony staring to charge just to play online like Microsoft does. Not this generation. I expect more features and perhaps better functionality with Vita. With the rumours flying about being tied to OnLive or Gaikai those services could greatly enhance the experience of connecting both devices. Not only that but being able to stream demo's and other media could be a game changer on the consoles.
I expect the core ability to connect and play games on the Playstation Network to remain free but Sony may now have something people are actually willing to pay for with Plus that many didn't see much value in before.

Sony's emcee will pick up a Vita at the end of the conference, almost like he forgot to mention something, and hold it out and say, "We have a special surprise for all you Playstation Plus subscribers. I'd prefer a reward based on how much you spent in the PS Store. If you bought over 500 bucks worth of games, you'd get 3 months PS+.
I still can't believe I spent more than that. ;(
