Does PS Vita exist / Lack of Vita games at E3

So AC Liberation, Vita COD, PS1 support and new apps announced at the event means it doesn't exist. This blind Vita hate is pathetic and I don't even care for handheld gaming.

Wasn't PS1 support announced back when the Vita was first announced? I thought that was a thing it was always eventually expected to do.

And it's really hard to give a fuck about CODBlops Portable when there's no footage--there's nothing to indicate it will actually be good. It will have two sticks. It will probably be pretty. That's about it.

Similar problem with AC: Liberation although what they showed looked decent. The AC on PSP didn't really do shit; it's hard to imagine a ton of time and energy invested in the Vita version when the Vita's already tanking hard.

The showing for the Vita would be acceptable during the wind-down years for a portable; for the first post-launch year of a struggling system it's disappointing and embarrassing.

I was sad by the lack of Vita only games :\
I thought Sony would take the time to focus on Vita, maybe 10 minutes for games just for that.
I can only think of AC3:L for Vita and Call of Duty.

I really came close to buying a Vita at Wal-Mart two days ago. Dodged a bullet I'd say.

Get your shit together, Sony.

I had a PSP. It had a wonderful first year. Sorry, Sony itself made my expectations that high.
I don't really remember the PSP having it this bad at all.

If that info about Type-0 being announced at E3 is true, guess that means we'll be hearing about it tomorrow. and here I thought this wwas a safe bet for the Vita.

3DO had Star Control 2 and Return Fire.

Vita is the Tapwave Zodiac. Never heard of a Tapwave Zodiac? Exactly.

That's pretty damn true. It also had a good NFS and, at the time, a nearly perfect arcade port of SFII.

Hey, Tapwave Zodiac had...Firefly, a Pacman clone. WOO!

I literally just bought a Vita today after spending the weekend trying to find a good deal on one. That shit was bad. I seriously have that awful feeling in my stomach you get after doing something really stupid.

I thought for sure they were going to deliver some goods, especially after the news of Assassin's Creed coming. The fact that there was pretty much nothing else, and we still don't know the details on PSOne classics even is a very bad sign.

That would seriously be fucked up for the Vita to be dead within a year. And that idea isn't too crazy right now.

And most likely won't. Remember Resident Evil PSP?

This is so damn sad. I really don't want a portable gaming marketplace with just Nintendo's underpowered hardware. :(

Bioshock 3ds confirmed??

Seriously, this is getting out of hand sony! Well, lets wait until the week ends.

The fact that so many people regard vita as a failure makes it a failure.
Its sad.. it has everything except a marketing team and clever company behind it.

What the Fuck are you waiting for, Sony!?

The Zodiac also had a bunch of emulators, which is what the Vita will be good for, I guess.

I was waiting for E3 to decide whether or not to buy a Vita. This conference was incredibly disappointing. I really want to but a Vita because of the PSP/PS1 games I never played, but it doesn't have any upcoming games I want.

Crickey, I have no idea what Sony was thinking with their treatment of the Vita at E3. It's great that there's a new Assassin's Creed bundle but that's only going to be in October. Assassin's Creed can't hold the line alone...

Can't show much if you don't have much.

Vita doesn't exist until Gamescom and TGS conferences it seems. I think Sony have done enough and announced enough for now. There are plenty of games whether people like them or not, and one announced in the blog every other day.

most stores have return policies, unless you happened to have found a good craigslist deal.

Yup, I don't even like Smash Bros. There's no way a copy would have my interest without a twist. =/

There is a twist...

The gameplay works quite differently from SSB. Instead of trying to knock players off the map or into an abyss below you are building up super attacks to destroy players with.

While it is different I do not think I like it better. The fight to make it back to the ledge in SSB was one of my favorite parts. There is a lot of strategy with this mechanic in SSB

To be fair, it is a haven for fighters. UMVC3, blazblue, MK and now SFxT. It needs a lot of new IPs, to be sure.

You're absolutely right, forgot about that since I love UMVC3 on Vita. The problem is Vita is never going to be taken seriously in the fighting community and that was already a niche group to begin with and getting smaller.

I think what i'm really upset about for the conference is they STILL have not said one word about integrating Vita with PS Plus. What the hell Sony??!!
