I think his public and private jobs are kind of different. On television he is just a commentator, his real hardcore work as an analyst (number crunching and analysis) is for his company and that is what we don't get to see. His job as a commentator is not so serious, he can say what he wants. It's just that people view his opinions as valuable because he brings business or financial knowledge that most gaming commentators have no clue about. Don't put much weight on his predictions, he doesn't.
