Amazing :lol

The random wonderbook part cracked me up.

Gaffers, Quick question

With PS+ do you have to:

1) download on to the PS3 before they count as yours (& can then delete and re-download in future)

2) OR can you just put it in your shopping cart and checkout and then download in future -

3) OR start download and then cancel the download? - Which is best?

Reason I am asking is

a) Disk space - Have 320GB and its almost full and

b) don't want to waste bandwidth downloading and the redownloading when I get to playing the game

2 works fine. After checkout out it's a confirmed purchase so theres no need to start the download since it's already added to your history.

Does anyone here use PS+ on a sub-account?

I asked if this worked in another thread, and someone answered that you can't. But after doing some googling, it sounds like it might be possible to fully use PS+ on a sub-account as long as the name and address match the master account. Has anyone tried this?
If you're asking if you can gameshare PS+ content on another PS3 then the answer is yes. It works exactly like a normal account when it comes to activations.

Just to be safe

After you do everything, go to your DL list

Account Management > Transaction Management > Download List

or

PSN Store > Upper Right Hand Corner Bubbles > Down Load List arrow pointing down

Only 2 consoles and 2 handhelds though

All content before November 18th, 2011 is still 5 activation, anything purchased after that date = 2

So you can still share up to 5, but you will split the shares

Like I said, exactly like normal activations. People should know how activations work by now.

WONDERBOOK!

Well done.
I didn't make it, just saw Wario tweet it so I shared it.

I understand about sharing games between accounts on the console, but I'd like to also use cloud saving and avatars on the sub-account.

What are you trying to do exactly?

I have 2 PS3s in the house - my sons has my account & can use any of the PS+ content bar the avatars.

We can even play DLC at the same time.

The only other thing he can't do is set his PS3 to auto patch/download/cloud save. You can only set one PS3 as the 'master' at a time.

To be clear, at least for SCEA, PSone Classics aren't necessarily going away in Plus. We're focusing the library on games on PS3 Full Games and PSN Games, but PS one (and PS2 Classics as well) or just as able to be a part of the instant game collection.

To be sure though, make sure your voice is heard on the Plus post here; we'll be listening to the feedback.

As for PS Vita, we haven't forgotten about it; but nothing to announce at this time.

US gets games changed after 16 weeks, EU gets them changed after 12.

we will not be waiting 16 weeks to add new games to the collection. The idea is to be getting new content in there all the time, weekly if possible (i stress if possible). I think what that comment was referring to was that the core collection of games will be staying in for a number of weeks, with new content being rotated in alongside it throughout.

It'll take 16 weeks to download everything with the rush of new plus subscribers. That and It'll probably take me that long to get it all and stay under my Data Cap.

protip re data caps: you can always just start a download for a game, cancel it, then go back and download it later, even if the game has rotated out of the Plus collection. As a subscriber, you'll be able to download it in full anytime as long as you've started the download before.

helpful if you don't want to exceed a data cap, but want to make sure you get acess to all the content too.

Oh I know. I plan on doing that. I need to get a bigger hard drive first. I just did a full back up about a week ago and I only have like 20gb left.

cheers those that replied - Option 2 & 3 seems the way to go

Hi

I posted this a little earlier:

What about option 2 on there - most Gaffers suggested that

So honestly I am a little confused from the NA blog. Are they stopping the weekly updates on the free game content entirely and switching to monthly rotations and semi-monthly rotations on some stuff (like the EU blog makes it sound like)?

Option 2 works just fine, if the game is on your download list, it will stay there as long as you're a PS+ subscriber.

I like this idea, but then I didn't think PS+ was broken. I like the idea of new games every month...I guess it'll just be one or 2 new games with the main changes happening every 3 mths.

I already posted on the blog, but I'll say something here too. There's a bunch of ways Sony could give consideration to people that already own a bunch of PS2 games, and they've done none of them. I'm not buying my collection again at $10 each, I do still have a PS2.

But I'd rather play PS2 games on my PS3, I had a near-launch system and it was great until it died a few months ago. Adding free PS2 games to PS+ is a terrible way to fix the BC problem, but it's better than nothing.

Also, it'd be great if sub-accounts could at least use cloud saves if the master account has PS+.

The wording of the "52 week games" and "pair of games swapped" etc from E3 is a bit odd. Just to confirm - the way games stay in your account hasn't changed, just the release schedule / quality / 3 major games that are offered a year?

Wow, this sounds fantastic. I'm still confused trying to work out how often we get new stuff in the UK, but it seems that we get 10 games today, and at least 3 new games a month. That's very good value.

Great list of 12 games. I will finally play Infamous 2 :D
Will resubscribe in september when my membership expires.

Um... I'm sorry if I missed this... but why are they trying to charge me for games that JT said would be free?

I jumped on PSN to DL some stuff, and everything they want to charge half price for? That's not exactly free.

Is it because I'm already a + member for a long time?

Those are the Ultimate editions with all the DLC included for 1/2 off announced last week. The free games announced on Stage yesterday haven't gone up on the store yet.
