PlayStation Plus Thread: Plus What? PLUS EVERYTHING!

Honestly I will be satisfied with a free full ps3 game. But I expect that almost every month anyway lol.

My sub is good till January of next year so I will be keeping my eye for deals for the rest of this year

My PS+ is still set to automatic renewal on the 6th I think (or the 9th, something like that) but I was never going to cancel anyway. I've been happy with PS+ and don't regret purchasing that year subscription last year :D

Every time I see these 100 PS+ threads bumped on the first page I always go into my excited mode thinking for a second that the new deals will be posted, then remembering it'll be during their conference most likely. Painful.

And both of those features are pretty useless to me. Auto patches would be a lot better if it checked all your games like Steam does instead of just the last 10 games you've played.

I'm in the opposite boat. I DON'T want it to update a game I played 7 months ago and no longer even have.

I wish I could tell it what games I want it to keep up to date and not to download huge fucking patches for games I dont have anymore.

Be careful with that drive, or any that is "Advanced Format" for that matter.
There are reports of those having issues when used with a PS3.

Finally signed up, but what do I do now? There are some minis which I don't care about, a couple of free psn games which are nice, but what else?

How do I get the cloud saving to work? When I go into ps3 saves I can press triangle and copy a save to the cloud, but surely it can't be a manual process - any way to automate it?

When you load a game it will ask you if you want to automatically save to the cloud or not.

You should also go into system settings and turn on automatic updates. And give the Minis a second look. I believe a couple of the current freebies are very good: Velocity and Floating Cloud God Save the Pilgrims. And don't miss the free Castlevania PS1 games.

After that, just sit back and wait for the free games to roll in.

In addition to above.

Now everytime you load up a game for the first time (anything post your Plus sub I believe) you are prompted if you want to upload said save(s) to Cloud.

Turn it on manual per-game basis by hovering on game on XMB and Triangle. Option will be there.

i really hope they keep the current plus (at current cost) as an option if they decide to add services and raise the price

it would suck if we would have to pay more to use services we do not want or cannot use (EU) just to be able to play the games we already have payed for with our current plus subscription

Slightly off topic I gues but I just bought a 3 month PS+ subscription. I have a Vita and a PS3 linked to the same account. I was thinking off getting a second PS3 as I spend about half my in rented accommodation away from my home setup.

So if I bought this second PS3 I would have three devices linked to my account. In terms of using my PSN/PS+ content will that work ok. I remember reading something about Sony reducing the number of license devices from 5 to 2. How does that work? Is it like 360 at all where as long as I'm signed in online everything will work ok on any console?

It's 2 PS3s and 2 portable devices.

So 12 free games in the U.S. this month, including:
  • LBP2
  • Infamous 2
  • Saint's Row 2
Should be good times.

Also: Did anyone else hear Tretton say $5/month during the Sony E3 Presentation? What's that all about? Stealth price increase?

Goldrusher has a more complete list: http://neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=38528155&postcount=641
These are all coming for free:

inFamous 2
LittleBigPlanet 2
Saints Row 2
Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One
Just Cause 2
Warhammer 40,000 Space Marine

Sideway: New York
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light

And a couple more.

But when? All at once tomorrow? Or one a month?

I've been meaning to buy Just Cause 2 all week while it's been on sale but haven't got around to it. Sometimes procrastination is beneficial.

Nothing about Plus for Vita...

Bad news for Vita/PSP content (I'd love free PSP games to play on my Vita, until actual good PS Vita games are released...), but 12 free PS3 games is great news. I wanted to buy Infamous 2 for a while but because of my huge backlog, I never did. Now I'll play it for free :)

I will certainly renew my US PS+ membership in september.

yeah fuck SCEE

I'm stunned they didn't expand PS+ to the Vita, I thought that was an absolute certainty. Wonder what they are playing at? Maybe waiting for the PSone compatibility?

noob question:

if i get psn+ in my account, and download all the temporary free games, can i do the same on my second console?

my account has not being activated on any other console. never

So Europe is getting these:

inFamous 2
MotorStorm Apocalypse
LittleBigPlanet 2
Outland
Darksiders
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Renegade Ops
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine
Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown
Chime Super Deluxe

And later this summer:

Retro/Grade

Starting June 6th, there will be an Instant Game Collection of 10 games to choose from ready to download and play as part of the updated PlayStation Plus subscription, with at least three being updated monthly. The launch line-up includes Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, as well as Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD, Renegade Ops, Chime Super Deluxe, Outland, Darksiders and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine.

As part of the 10 games available, there will be a PlayStation Plus Game of the Month. This will change every four weeks and represent the best PlayStation Store has to offer, including brand new download-only games and Digital Blu-rays.

Additionally, as part of their subscription, members will have access to three digital Blu-ray titles from SCEE – inFamous 2, MotorStorm: Apocalypse and LittleBigPlanet 2.

PlayStation Plus will also deliver some of the best games in production from smaller, independent developers. The first game to be included as part of this new offering is Retro/Grade, the arcade shooter with a twist from 24 Caret Games and will be available later this summer for eight weeks, at no cost to subscribers.

That's pretty fucking good, whoa o_O

I might end up buying a accessory pack for VF5FS since I'll get the core game for free...
